Meer didn't acknowledge it. It wasn't a true attack.
"Is that all you've got?" She mewed. Her eye flashed. "I don't know how you do what you do..."
She mewed, not quite finished speaking.

Splinter struggled. No his mate was in love with Thorn it wasn't true.
"How can you be in love with me you are my counterpart's mate" he meowed. He heard her voice very well and he felt like well he felt weird. Was this love? He needed to ask Splinter sometime.

Thorn's eyes opened. Fasted than the eye could blink he had his claws at Meer's throat. He was dead serious now. "Stop or Die" he hissed. His claws were just piercing the skin but if he wanted to he could kill Meer with a careless flick of his paw.

Meer dodged it all. "Thorn, I love you!" She mewed loud, and it echoed through the clearing.

Thorn allowed her to run her claw down his spine. It didn't break his skin though. He purred it felt good. Wait he purred wow this was one weird time. First he had his own soul and now he was purring.

Mer growled under her breath, wait, it wasn't her usual growl. Was she...? No, her voice must just be out... She felt awkward. Regaining her posture, she spun aroudn very quickly and faced him. "You really are weaker than I thought." She hissed, baring her fangs in a vicious snarl.

Splinter saw his chance. He fled his prison and took his body back over.
"Wait no no" hissed Thorn as Splinter took over again. He was locked back up.
"Can you hurt me Meer?" Splinter asked.

Meer jumped back astounded. "Wait, what happened?" SHe hissed, confused. Her lgiht gorwling had stopped. There was a cold look staring at her. She shook herself of her confusion. "I will if you want me to" She growled, this time much more gruff.

"You made Thorn mad Meer. You have a power only one other cat ever had. You and Steps Soft were the only cats able to send Thorn back. You are the only cat now. Now Thorn has felt love he is stronger than ever he wants to see you again. He doesn't care if you kill him. I do though if you kill him you kill me and I want to know if you could lose both of us at once. Tell me Meer who do you like better me or Thorn?" meowed Splinter. His twisted paw was no longer twisted. "Thorn healed my paw" he hissed.
