Reminiscing //Shard+Meer//

[Meerful]

Beside a large mossy rock, a stream rippled with small waves and shimmering silver fish that jumped upwards every now and again. Frogs bobbed their heads towards the surface, only to dart back down, and underwater plants swayed with the current.

In the small clearing, warming sunshine fluttered down to enlighten the area, making flowers bend towards the rays, and types of lizards and snakes to rest outside their dens to get some heat.

Unnoticeable, a small limp blood splattered dirty she cat was lying on the rock, tears sliding down her cheeks, and drenching her fur. A few anxiety attacks pierced through her, but it was only because of her hatred and disgust in spring, and the fact that she had lost the only cat she thought she' never lose.

Yawning, Meer closed her eye, and let her mind wander. Auseek occasionally interrupted her thoughts, but Meer tuned her out, and tried as hard as she could not to think of Shard. Of course, it ended up happening anyways. I wish you were here... I wish you were here... I wish you were here...

Midnight had gotten lose from her housefolk, she knew she could never leave them forever but she had to get away.She never again wanted to sent another cat she loved, never.HEr mind wandered back when Midnight and Meer first met and when Skull had taken her in, how her clan mates took her sight away from her.Midnight suddenly forgot were she was going then she saw her, Meer , Shard felt tears pressure her eyes,"Meer" she though aloud

Not even bothering to see who it was, Meer moaned in agony. She already knew who it was. Shard, or whoever the heck she was. Widn rustled her fur, and Meer felt her hackles raise. What makes her think she has the right to coem here? Auseek shouted at her. Meer got angry. "What do you want?" Meer hissed. It hadn't come out as mean as she wanted it to, it only sounded like a plea.

Shard took a step back, Meer hated her she knew it.Shard closed her eyes but tears still driped down from her face,"Meer-Why do you loath me" Shard asked her voice seemed to be cracked with fear and pain,"Why do you loath me with your intire being, what did I do the hurt you when you are the one who hurt me"


Shard opened her eyes- her prision, she would always be blind- she would never know what the look on MEer's face would be.Never aloud to be accepted into Meer's heart,"Why?"

Meer turned away, tears splashing to the ground. "Oh, yeah, I hurt you. Shard, you left me, and when I saw you, you didn't even want to see me. I don't loath you, Auseek does. Besides, why should you care? You haave your precious twolegs, now scamper along and leave me so I can think of a way to die before someone else tears another chunk out of my chest" Meer whispered. Shard had no idea how Meer felt,and she probably never would. Meer didn't care what Shard did with her life, because Meer was goign to end hers- soon.

Shard's blind eyes seemed to shrink, her bottom lip begain to tremble,"I never left you!! My Mother was a kittypet-Why souldn't I go back to the ones who raised her!!At lest someone would love me"YElled Shard angerly tears still trinkling down her face,"My brother used to tell me I gave my love to eaisly, and he was right.I should have never loved you!!!But now, I am cursed forever to be abused by the ones I love...Forever..."

Meer hissed. "What did I do? I did what would help me live through this! I pledged to you my love, I don't break them. Now I'm haunted by you, by your hatred towards me. Everyone I love has left me! Splinter, Fragment, Turtle, Niche, Steps Soft, and now... Even you. You were the first cat I ever loved, and now you're the last, because I'm leaving... And I'm never coming back. I thought that you'd never hurt me, but now... The pain you put on me, it's worse than death. I'm going to ask Splinter to kill me, so you and no other cats, will have the burden of me." Meer's eye closed, stinging tears in her eye, her mouth chattering. "I'm tired of being hurt, and I'm tired of the ones hurting me trying to blame me."

Midnight ran over to Meer and pressed her Nise into Meer's side,"Please Meer- I am just mad...I don't know whtai s wronge with me....Please still like me, I am sorry, I am sorry" She said now feeling uncontrolable guilt filling her belly.

Meer laughed, a bemused laugh. "Shard, how could I not like you? It's because I like you that I'm wishing for death. I'd love you even if you were the one who killed me. I just can't take this pain... You're never going to come back to us. How will I live?" Meer cried, tears uncontroallably intterruptign her vision. "Shard. I wish I'd never met you, because now you'll have a peice of my heart, leaving a gap in my chest, nad I'll forever be damaged, ruined, and I wont ever love. How will I ever love, if I don't have a heart? Splinter, Fragment, everyone has taken me apart in little bits to the point I'm surprised I have fallen to pieces. Shard, I don't know why, but I still love you, I always will. Even if you are destroying me"

Midnight smiled sadly,"Meer- please, I am always with you.Fon't die, if you die I don't knwo what I would do..."Midnight said softly."I was always soft hearted from the very begeining, I meen comeon A warrior attacked me and I wasn't strong enough to protect myself....And now I have finialy found something take dosn't make me kill, dosn't make me hurt,If only I could show you how happy I am as a kittypet...So no I can't join you again, but I will still always be with you"

Meer shook her head. "No. You wont. That's why... That's why I can't think about you, or anything, because if I do, it will only hurt worse. If I could only show you how miserable you make me. It's a sick feeling." Meer sobbed. "Just go back, be happy, I'm happy for you, I'll always love you, but I'll never forgive you." A similar situation played in her mind. Turtlepelt

Midnight brushed her tail over Meer's sholder,"Meer- If you really feel that way I will become a Loner again."Midnight said halfheartedly.She really loved her kittypet life, but she would do anything to keep Meer alive and happy,"PLease Meer-I would do anything to see a smile on you fac again"

[Meerful]

Meer shook her head. "Shard, my life was ruined before this. I'm not going to ruin yours. You deserve more than this, than me. I want you to be happy." Meer sobbed. She would rather kill herself than watch Shard ruin her happiness for Meer.

"Be happy" Meer whispered, flicking her tail towards the two legs gardens.

Midnight felt her rivers of tears drip onto her chest,"MEer, I want to se- I meen...I want to meet you again.Please come see me again, so I know you will be safe" she whisperd, Midnight slowly turned away from Meer and as she walked away she one last thing,"If you ever find Tails again, tell her that Midnight will always be with her were ever she gose..."

Meer turned away, her thoughts were washed away by tears, and then she decided she'd never return. Never. It would be too painful.
