Bored

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

The tortoiseshell form of Sakura was barely visible in the night sky. Moonlight gleamed off her pelt, and her eyes held boredom. Sakura lay on a branch of an Oak Tree. She looked down. Sakura was bored. She thought of possibly scaring the first cat that came below her. Now all she could do was wait.

Niche padded along the familiar pathds of the loner's terra, his paws itching their wayts around rocks nad holes and such. He spotted Sakura lazily sitting on a tree, and Niche curled his lips into a smile. Stealthily, he stlaked closer and closer to her... She had know idea he was there and then he sprang...

Sakura jumped up and nearly lost balance. She dug her claws into the branch and looked around. She didn't see who did it. Her fur bristled.

"W-Who's there?" She mewed.

[Meerful]

Niche grinned and hoppedon her back, leaning close to her ear.

"Guess" He whispered, his voice icy.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura laughed. It was Niche.

"Hm... I dont know." She joked "Could it be Niche?" She growled playfully.

"Would you mid getting off of me?" She mewed.

Niche mock hissed, and jumped of lithly.

"Not at all." He told her smoothly, his voice melting among the melodies of the forest.

Sakura purred. She laid down on the branch and looked down. They were pretty high up, hopefully not high enough for anyone to get hurt falling. The moon was shining brightly above them, casting a beautiful light. She sighed, content.
"So what are you doing out here?" She asked Niche.

Niche shrugged, lying back on a wide branch, adjusting his position to get away from a large piece of bark that was jutting up. His tail draped over the edge, twitching lazily.

"Well, seeing as I live in the Loner's Terra, you'd have to think I'd walk around here for food occasionally" He smirked. His eye glimmered a milky white in the candle soft rays of the moon that glimmered. The stars were brimming brightly in the night sky, adding twinkles in the corner of Niche's eye. He yawned, and looked at Sakura's beautiful shimmering pelt.

"Well I know that" Sakura mewed. Suddenly she remembered the fight with the clanners. She remembered Step Soft, telling her Niche was her brother.

"B-Back at the fight with the clanners" Sakura mewed "Was that other cat, Step Soft, your sister?"

[Meerful]

A shiver rolled through Niche. Something about him had changed that day, that second the blood drizzled into his mouth. It was like... Brilliant. Niche hated himself for it. He was just liek his sister... Why must I be like them? I want to be a pure cat, why can't I? Why why why? Niche twitched his nose, averting his tortured gaze to Sakura.

"Yeah. That was her" He mumbled, feeling contrite.

Sakura sensed Niche's discomfort. At that fight, Sakura thought that revenge would be great, but it wasn't great. She couldn't handle seeing those two dead bodies. But why was Niche so upset that Step Soft was his sister?

"Is something wrong?" She asked. Her voice was soft and caring, not like the playful adventurous voice she usually had.

[Meerful]

Niche sighed heavily, letitng all his moons of tension build up on his shoulders, struggling to support the whole weight. Getting up, he repostioned himself into a more stressed stance. His eye was filled with worry, and grief. Hanging limply, Niche held his tail still.

"Sakura, there's osmething wrong with me." He murmered. His insides turned. "See, when I killed those two cats, it was like I wanted to, needed to. Something inside me hungered for the blood, and I know my family is like that. It kills me! I wish to be pure and clean and not be a- a monster!" Niche cried, his look becoming more troubled. What would she think?

"You're not a monster" Sakura murmured. She stood up and pressed close to Niche.

"Sometimes things like this happen." She mewed "If you hunger for blood, that's who you are. I respect that. You can't help it if you inherit that trait."

[Meerful]

Niche hung his head low. When he turned ot look back up at Sakura, his eye was ablaze with pain and torture. His usually grinning face was upturnedi n a grimmace of self hate. He squinted his eye shut, shaking his head. "Why me? Why me?" He whined, not wanting this to happen. "Are you even sure it wouldn't be more prudent for you to keep away from me?" Niche challenged.

"I couldn't keep away from you Niche" Sakura mewed firmly. Looking into his eyes she felt sadness. Niche shouldn't be blaming himself.

"I love you. Keeping away from you would just kill me inside" She mewed.

[Meerful]

Niche shook his head. "But beyond all of this, there is also this.. This burden of so much guilt, it's unbelievable! Think of Bone, I was supposed to be promised to her! Now look at me! I'm with you! She thought I loved her! How can I fix that?" Niche let out an exasperated sigh. Why is my life so complicated?! "I don't even know what my destiny is." He whispered. All he knew was that he had a burnign hatred for the clans, and anyone associated iwth them.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

"Bone was already in love" Sakura mewed "Remember? She told me she loved a BloodClan warrior" For the destiny part, Sakura wasn't sure what to say. She didn't know her destiny yet either.
"You'll know what your destiny is eventually. I don't even know mine yet" Sakura mewed.

[Meerful]

Niche nodded, leaning his head against the tree. I hate myself He tohught, thinking of how he was like a cannibal. He hated it. Niche inhaled deeply, holding his breath a few moments before exhaling.

"The only thing I know is that my life is complicated" He mewed to her.

Sakura sighed. She looked at Niche. It hurt her to see him in so much pain. What could she do to cheer him up? Just to see that crooked grin again would make her heart flutter(I like that word. Flutter.)

"Well, what can I do to help?" Sakura asked "I will do anything"

[Meerful]

Niche shook his head.

"No, I'm perfectly capable, bu uh thanks." He mewd to her. He tried to smile half heartedly, but it didn't reach his eye.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

Sakura nodded. She had to think of something. A half-hearted smile wasn't enough. Niche was still upset. The moon shined above them, the stars as bright as the sun. Sakura sighed. She looked Niche in the eyes.

Ask him if he wants to go hunting or something. Anything to get his mind off this she told herself.

"Well, you wanna go hunting? It might clear your head" Sakura mewed.

[Meerful]

Niche stare up into the moon.

"If that's what you'd like. I've told you before, your wish, my command" Niche commented.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

"No" Sakura mewed "Ok, I command you to tell me what you want to do" She smiled at him to show she was joking. But she did want him to tell her what he wanted to do.

[Meerful]

Niche shrugged.
"Well, I don't really know. I'm content to sit here and think of right and wrong" He shrugged.

[Cinder.and.Flightfall]

"Then that's what we do" Sakura mewed calmly sitting down. All she was trying to do was get Niche happy. She would right now give anything to see that grin again.

[Meerful]

Niche stared unsseinglyinto the black night sky. Twilight had come, and the stars were hidden under the glow of the moon.

"Sakura." He whispered, not thinking as he closed his eye and tried to etch her image into his mind.

"I'm right here" Sakura whispered. Niche wasn't only Sakura's mate, but her best friend. She couldn't live without him. She pressed close to him and laid her head on her paws, nearly falling asleep.

Niche rested his head on her shoulder, and his chest filled with a low purr.

"Sakura. You're the best thing that this forest will ever see" Niche whispered into her ear.

Sakura sighed contently. She felt warmth fill up inside her. Her eyes started to close peacefully.

"Not without you" Sakura whispered "Without you, I would be nothing"

Niche shook his head. "Impossible, you were everything the moment I saw you." He repled.
