An odd meeting...(Shard)

Sleepkit had snuck out of camp because he wanted to catch his first prey. After a while he noticed that he was at Fourtrees.Why did my paws take me to Fourtrees, he wondered. Then he smelled a familiar cat in the area. The scent wasnt too strong because Windclan scent was so near. But, Sleepkit remembered the scent, suddenly he thought, Eclipskit?...

[Badgersoul]

Eclipsekit was collecting herbs for Badgersoul in hopes that one day he would choose her for an apprintice, she knew it was bad for a kit to sneak out but what else could she do to help. Eclipsekit trotted this way and that, her paws steps where so light she didn't even break there the snow. She only stepped lightly on top of it. Eclipsekit would be happy that she had learn to run lightly, to know she had just broken a marker that most cats can't break. Yet she was lonley and missed her friends back in THunderclan.

Eclipsekit suddenly found herself infront of the Fourtrees. Eclipsekit hadn't found any herbs, at least till now. On the Thunderclan boreder of the Fourtree was a single bud of lavender, shelterd by a bramble. Eclipsekit slowly picked the herb only to sent another cat. The sent of lavender was confusing who it was but she knew someone was out there. Eclipsekit slowly arched her back in a hiss.

Sleepkit jumped as he heard the hiss." H-Hello?" he stammered, even though he knew he shouldn't of spoke up. what if this cat was like a Windclan warrior er sumthin, it might shred him to pieces. But, Sleepkit still scented that familiar cats scent and stealthed through the bramble...

Eclipsekit relaxed at the voice. SHe knew that voice anywhere, it was her best friend Sleepkit. Eclipsekit quickly dropped her herb and rushed out of the bramble. She met his gave with a gaze filled with friendship. Eclipse's white ,dappled fur shone softly in the warm light. She didn't know what to say- or how to say it. All she could do was let out a weak "S-sleepkit" She purred softly to herself mostly.

Eclipsekit looked around making completly sure that no Windclan nor THunderclaners where near. "W-What are y-you doing here?", her voice became frighten again at the thought of Windclan patrolls tearing apart Sleepkit.

"Eclipsekit! I thought i scented you!" Sleepkit was overjoyed at the sight of Eclipsekit. He still remebered when Eclipsekit left Thunderclan sliently to join windclan. He never thought he would see her again." How's windclan for yeah?" he curiosly asked.

Eclipsekit purred softly at the question, "W-well it is very cold, colder then leafbare on the borderline. A-and there is tall grass everywhere you can barily see past your N-n-n-nose" Eclipsekit purred softly, trying hard not to stammer. "Y-yet I don'tthink anyone likes me much, b-besides Bardsoul. I have b-been helping him alot"

Eclipsekit looked at her paws whe nshe thought about the glares from the other clanners and the whispers behind her back. Eclipsekit shiverd and not just the snow but at how much of a failure she is. "I havn't talked to anyone besides the leader and Badgersoul...I havn't found my fatehr either"

Sleepkit could see that Eclipsekit was having a hard time with the new Clan. He felt like he should give her a little lick, but he thought to himself, what are you, crazy! She's Windclan...."Well, don't be too worried, the clanners will soon come to like you...and you'll find your father, dont worry."" Everything's fine back at camp, same old same old, normal stuff and the sort."Sleepkit said," Wishing you never left and all.." he added in. " Anyways, why are you over here in this part of territory..."

Eclipsekit couldn't help but pur at what Sleepkit said. She was glad that Sleepkit wasn't mad at her for leaving Thunderclan, "T-Thats good" she purred softly, "I am picking some herbs for Badgersoul,this time of year he has much to deal w-w-with, you know with G-Greencough and all" Eclipsekit stared down at her paws, she wasn't sure if she should be glad to see her best friend again.

Eclipsekit stared at Sleepkit square in the eyes, something she didn't do often. Her blue eyes shone with a bittersweet emotion. "I really m-miss Thunderclan though,and everyone in it." She said softly.

Sleepkit stared back for a long time without even realizing what he was doing, then he noticed that Eclipsekit's eyes shined as bright as ever now. Then Sleepkit said, "I would invite you to come back, but I know you dont want to nor anyone else," Sleepkit said then added nervously," except me." Sleepkit could almost not bear the emotional stress he was going though.

To change the subject, Sleepkit said happily," So, you're Windclan Meddiecat apprientice, I hear....hope Badgersoul isnt making you too busy, but with Greeencough, you can never be too careful." Sleepkit now stood in a small patch of sunlight which illuminated his whitish-black pelt, then licked his paw to wash his face.

Eclipsekit blushed under her grey dappled pelt, she liked being asked about being a medicine cat- even though she wasn't one...yet. "I-I am not an medicinecat apprintice- I hope I will be able to be one , oneday. Yet that day seems so far a-a-away" Eclipsekit purred at the thought of being like the beautiful and lovley Spottedleaf. Spottedleaf has always been her idle and sometimes she wished she could go back in time and meet the beloved medicine cat.

Eclipsekit could not help but feel distant to her old crush, and her best friend. She wouldn't be aloud to have crushes when she would be a medicine cat- and so she tried her best not to stare at Sleepkit. Eclipsekit traced her paw in the cold snow, ".... Bagersoul is very nice, even if I was really his apprintice I don't think he would work me to much and if he did work me to much it would be for the best"

Sleepkit noticed that Eclipsekit felt discouraged about being a meddie cat apprientice. Then he rememered that she was still a kit like himself, so she couldn't yet. He knew she would be the best one ever if she was acceptted as an aprientice, but then a little thought keeps poppin into his head. Meddie cats can't mate and even if she could mate, he wasnt in her clan. Everytime it popped into his head, he tryed to push it away as to not show Eclipsekit that he was thinking the same way."Are there any other cats who seem to want to be apprienticed into the ways of the meddie cat more than you?" Sleepkit said respectfully...

Eclipsekit looked up from her paws to stare into Sleepkit's eyes, "I-I-I hope not... not m-many cats talk to me, let alone tell me there wants" She stammerd at the thought of another cat being chosen for Medicine cat. After all the work of trying to prove to him she was worthy. Eclipsekit felt sick at the though and quickly dismissed it. "W-well I have been the o-only cat wo has been helping B-badgersoul... so I guss I am the only o-one" ;She tried to make herself feal better.

" Thats great!" For Windclan..Then Sleepkit noticed that Eclipsekit was looking wierd and then he remarked," You OK, Eclipsekit, you seem worried, or sick or something?" Sleepkit scooted closer to Eclispekit and brushed his pelt against hers, tryin to comfort her...

Eclipsekit brushed bright red under her pelt before jumping away, "I-I-I-I am F-FIne!!" She said louder the normal. "I should return to C-camp soon..." Eclipsekit said softly staring down at her paws again. "I d-don't want anyone w-waiting" Eclipsekit wanted to bound off and curl up in a small ball and just fall alseep. Yet she had to be respectful, just like Spottedleaf. Eclipsekit bowed her head and turned away. "GOodbye S-Sleepkit" she said quickly as she stared to walk away, completly forgettign about the lavender.

Sleepkit was astounded by the way Eclipsekit just acted there, but she must be tense because I might have been caught or sumthing. So he said painfully said," Goodbye, Eclipsekit, see you another time....hopefully," he added. Sleepkit too started walking back to camp...to hurt for words...
