Blackpaw lowered her belly to the dusty earth. Her shoulders rolled, preparing for the leap. Gold eyes flashed, fixing themselves on their prey. A moss ball lay unexpecting it's enemy not two tail-lengths away. Focus, the little apprentice told her self. Go slow. You'll never catch a thing if you're too fast. Her shoulders rolled once more before she kicked off with her back paws and leapt forward. Her forepaws landed on the moss, her claws spearing it. "Yes!" Blackpaw yowled in triumph. "Prey! I am a hunter!" Blackpaw snatched up the moss in her teeth and gave it a mighty shake wich sent her tumbling into the paws of another cat.

"Can someone tell me what happened to me? now I am caught between the devil and the angel I used to be. I wana go left, but they tell me go right. I wana be the little girl that gets kissed good night."
"Beautiful catch Blackpaw" Teardrop slowly walked next to the apprentice, laying her tail onto the top of the apprentice's head. Teardrop missed her kit hood more then anything; if she could she would go back in time. She would be surrounded by the ones she loved Snakekit, Shardkit, Sunkit, all of them. But most of all she missed her mother Blackpelt, Teardrop couldn't help but be drawn by the younge apprentice. Her appearence reminded Teardrop so much of he lost mother.
"Hows hunting been today?" she joked; "I herd you had a run in with a few Riverclanners, how did that go?"

Blackpaw scowled up at Teardrop, wrinkling her nose. She sniffed loudly in distaste. "I hate hunting!" she announced. "And RiverClan! Pushy, stinky, fish-selling..." she continued to mumble and bat the moss. After a minute, she loked back up into the pretty black and white warrior's eyes. "Can you show me some fighting moves? I want to beat Farpaw next time!" the little apprentice's big gold eyes glittered with hope and excitement.

"Can someone tell me what happened to me? now I am caught between the devil and the angel I used to be. I wana go left, but they tell me go right. I wana be the little girl that gets kissed good night."
Teardrop nodded her head as the apprentices complained, she couldn't help but find it funny. Teardrop remembered when she was only an apprentice; trying to find her place in the world, the aweful sent of other clanners, Brownstar's mental sickness, The Night, Shard's disappearances, many thing happened in Teardrop's Apprentice hood. Many horrible things; things that had made her who she was to this very day.
Teardrop purred at how excited the young apprentice was. "Very well; lets see... how far in training are you?" Teardrop asked politely, "that reminds me, I don't think I remember who your mentor is..."

ooc: lol, Blackapw doesn't have a mentor yet. Shall we pretend she does so as to end confusion?
Blackpaw jumped up to her paws, her whiskers twitching a mile a minute. "I just started training." she mewed proudly, lifting her chin. "I want to know everything!" sh added, jumping up. She leapt forward, trapping Teardrop's paws before jumping up again to bat at the warrior's muzzle. For a moment, she forgot who she was playing with, and wrapped her foreleg's around Teardrop's neck and battered her chest with her back paws. Gently, but firmly, the little black apprentice nipped the she-cat's ear.

"Can someone tell me what happened to me? now I am caught between the devil and the angel I used to be. I wana go left, but they tell me go right. I wana be the little girl that gets kissed good night."
Teardrop laughed as Blackpaw attacked her. Teardrop placed her paw on the apprentice's head, trying to push the little black apprentice off. Once she was freed she jumped back, "Alright Show me what you got" Teardrop purred. Teardrop's fluffy tail swished back and forth, her amber eyes glimmering playfully.
Teardrop slowly planned what her next move would be and what to teach the young apprentice. Of corse what ever Blackpaw already knew would change what Teardrop taught her.

Blackpaw crouched down and bared her teeth in a mock snarl. Then, with a gurgling growl, the little apprentice scurried forward and pounded into Teardrop's shoulder. Slightly dazed by the impact of her own attack, Blackpaw rolled away with her paws in the air. "Wow," she mewed, more to herself. "That felt wierd." and indeed, a slight tingling and a ringing ache was traveling from the little black head all the way through her body.

"Can someone tell me what happened to me? now I am caught between the devil and the angel I used to be. I wana go left, but they tell me go right. I wana be the little girl that gets kissed good night." Teardrop let out a small mrrrow as she hit her shoulder hard on the ground. Teardrop blinked a few times in confusion before lifting her head up. Teardrop had under estimated the apprentice, " who is this cat? " . "That was amazing Blackpaw" Teardrop said after regaining her balance. "I am definitely going to feel that in the morning!". Though Teardrop was purring, a strange feeling came over Teardrop when she thought of the attack Blackpaw had just done. "She is only an apprentice; and she already knows that attack... I must be falling behind or something"
Teardrop shook her pelt along with the strange feelings that washed over her. "I don't think you need any training; that attack i didn't learn until I was at least 11 moons old!" purred Teardrop as she licked her sore shoulder.

Blackpaw's eyes widened. "Really?" she squeaked, still on her back. "I didn't know that was an attack! Wow!" Blackpaw rolled onto her belly and looked up happily at Teardrop. Can you show me a move for knocking Farpaw off his paws?" Her gold eyes narrowed mischieviously. "That way I can knock him down and charge into his shoulder before he can get up. That'd be so great!" ooc: Sorry, brain-dead.

Teardrop let out a mrrow of laughter, "Sure why not; Lets see..." Teardrop thought for a moment. Many battle plans ran through her mind, but some of the battle strategies where much to brutal for a small apprentice like Blackpaw. These attacks happened during the time when The Night had taken over; of corse she had to be brutal. Death wasn't a problem then; it was Starclan. During that time all of Thunderclan lost faith and reserted into a brutal form of what they once were. Lucky Phantom and Blackthorn came to save them; along with Riverclan. Teardrop was only an apprentice then; yet could still remember the bloodlust that ran through her own paws. "Oh I have one; but first you have to get off of me" purred Teardrop.

Blackpaw slid off the warrior and turned to her expectantly. Her gold eyes shimmered. "When you teach me the move, will you tell me stories?"
ooc: This is super short, but I really want to hear about the battle with The Night! ;D I wish I'd never missed it.

.x. i was just a lost soul who needed a home, i was filling a void with you .x.
A dark gray and orange tom was walking confidently through the forest, the feeling of leaves on his paws was familiar and comforting. Just like home. His stomach was considerably full, just ended a patrol, and he had some time to just hunt. Hunt how he wanted. His eyes were looking around lazily, wondering if someone had passed by. Cat scent was fresh in the air, and was making his curiosity burn with intensity. He sniffed the air. Teardrop! and... Blackpaw. He didn't know Blackpaw very well, but he knew her enough. He leaned down in the grass and looked around until he spotted them. Smoothly, he slithered out between two small ferns. "Looks like someone is curious." He said, his voice full of humor at the apparentice's enthusiasm. "So what's going on?" Sh-Sh-Sh-Sharkfang,

ooc: Sweet! Sharkfang!
Blackpaw looked over her shoulder at Sharkfang, her gold eyes sparkling with excitement. "Teardrop is showing me battle moves so I can practice with Farpaw! Then she's going to tell me stories!" The little apprentice's tail curled with delight and she lifted her head almost in a boastful way. She wasn't used to warriors paying her attention, but she was thrilled to have it all the same. "Do you know any fighting moves?" she asked Sharkfang. "Or stories?

Sh- Sh- Sh- Sharkfang,
Holding his tail up and flicking it back and forth boredly, Sharkfang grinned at the small apprentice. He gave her a look as if to say 'duh!'. "Of course I know stories and moves. I am a warrior, am I not?" He asked her, batting at her ears playfully. The green leaves seemed to accent the green flecks in his eyes, and cause him to blend in perfetly with his surroundings. The pink pads of his paws were dirty, so sitting down, he lifted one of his forepaws to clean it, rasping his tongue over it a few times before flexing it and the long claws that resided within them. He gave the apprentice a daring look. "You don't think they're actually just stories, right?" He started, looking back and forth as if someone were watching or listening in on them, "because they are all very true. All these cats are real and risked their lives, even if their lives are over now." Sharkfang's eyes glinted with the same excitement that was glittering the other cat's golden ones.

Blackpaw looked up at Sharkfang with pure delight, allowing herself to become excited by his teasing voice. "I know the stories are real!" she mewed. "How could they become stories if they never happened?" The black apprentice padded up to Sharkfang until they were almost nose to nose. Her whiskers twitched, brushing the warrior's. Blackpaw quivered with anticipation. "Tell me stories about the old war with Night! Show me what you learned when you were an apprentice!" Teach what I need to know to grow. Help me be more than I ever imagined before. While I'm young, before the pains of the world pierce me. Give me love and care so I'll remember to believe.

Sh- Sh- Sh- Sharkfang,
Sharkfang crouched low to the ground and flexed his claws out onto the dirt, deep score marks being made on to the ground where he brought them in and out in anticipation. "I wasn't around for The Night. You'll have to ask Teardrop, but I can teach you the hings I know about fighting." He told her, grinning crookedly at her and lashing his tail back and forth swiftly, small leaves and loose bracken tumbling away at the small breeze it was creating. He felt a low growl in the back of his throat. "Attack me." Sharkfang hissed, slinking around the apprentice in a wide circle.

Blackpaw turned with the warrior, keeping him in front of her. There was no hesitation in her steps like when she was hunting. She moved easily, her little black body flowing gracefully with every step. Her gold eyes flashed as she studied the warrior. She would attack him like she had Teardrop. She didn't take her size into consideration, but she new she wouldn't hit so hard this time. Quick as she could, Blackpaw zipped behind the warrior and rammed into his shoulder. She stumbled and fell, but jumped up again and whipped around.

Sh- Sh- Sh- Sharkfang,
[saying that she immediatly hit him is called power playing ] Having anticipated her blow, Sharkfang doubled up and prepared himself, feeling his hind paws move back a short bit. He turned, and quickly thought up his counter attack. Evasively, he wound his way around her, and sprang towards her, his forepaw tucked up near him, in case he needed to push himself from the ground and do a sideways roll away from her. In midair, he twisted his body and landed behind her, his eyes shining with excitement. Bunching up his muscles, he leaped towards her again, his sheathed paws aiming straight for her sleek black back that was shining in silver rays, reflecting the sun's light.

ooc:Sorry! I didn't realize I was power-playing! I am so brain-dead A breath of air escaped Blackpaw when Sharkfang hit her. Even though he was being gentle, the little apprentice was only so strong. She turned onto her side and started to kick her back legs, hoping she could make the bigger warrior lose his balance.

Sh- Sh- Sh- Sharkfang,
Sharkfang felt her paws jut into his soft stomach, and he felt a lurch in his balance, his tail swiveling behind him like a pin wheel, trying to keep himself on all fours. A huff of air escaped him, and he dug his claws into the ground, each on opposing side of the apprentice. Using his weight, he tried to pin her down, breathing heavy. His fur was bristling all along him like thorns, just much more flexible and unable to pierce skin. The sound of his pounding heart rang in his ears, making the rhythym of excitement resonate throughout his body as fast mocing blood in his veins.

"Oomph!" Again, Blackpaw lost her breath and suddenly felt herself drained of strength. Her eyes flashed and she stubbornly continued to kick until she was too weak. Then she went limp and wriggled feebly beneath Sharkfang. "I can't fight anymore!" she whined. I'm too tired."

Snakecoil
Do everything with a mind that lets go. Yawns of boredom were the first to come from Snakecoil's mouth. Nothing seemed to measure up to his infinite height of needing something to occupy him at the moment. Lifeless prey swung from his jaws, eyes blank and clouded, as though they gazed at something beyond the reach of a cats sight. Three mice and a overly fluffy grey squirrel. A pretty good catch for an hours work. The soft downy squirrel fur lining the tom mouth seemed to put off his appetite, but he decided in his mind to take the small field mouse to eat.
As he padded on silent paws toward the fresh kill pile, he couldn't help but notice his brother and sister, and a small black she-cat. The sleek ebony apprentice was pinned under the bulk of Sharkfang, and with a muffled purr of amusement, he knew that she wouldn't be able to escape, not surprised to hear her tired mew.
The day was warm and drafty, sunlight warming Snakecoil's light brown pelt. His green eyes glinted like emerald leave, with the sun reflecting sparkling dew droplets cascading down the smooth surface. The toms long and slender tail brushed the ground, the very end of the white tip twitching ever so slightly with interest. Perhaps a talk with his siblings would brighten his downcast spirits.
"Hey, Teardrop, Sharkfang and...Blackpaw isn't it?" He greeted the others, placing the fresh-kill at his paws in a neat bundle. "Are any of you up for some lunch?" He flicked his tail towards the pile at the bottom of his paws. "That was quite the battle practice there." [/blockquote]

Blackpaw
Blackpaw purred gratefully and leaped at the prey, all tiredness forgotten. She gulped down the meat quickly, practically inhaling it. "Thanks Snakecoil!" she gulped.
