It was a strange day. The clouds covered the sky, the sun, the warmth;; a cool, light fog wrapped itself around the forest. Dew clung to every ranch, twig, and tree. How strange was a day like this to be happening in the middle of Greenleaf. How strange was the. The cool moister clung to everything; making it slightly more difficult to breath. Though it was only a light fog; it was still hard to recognize one's own sent.

A beautiful grey dappled she-cat slowly prowled through the under growth. She sented the territory marker; but she knew it didn't apply to her. THe only this that did apply to her was getting the rosemarry that grew on the other side. in the land of Thunder; scares in the land of Wind. The beautiful she-cat's blue eyes sparkled with fear. She was always so timid; yet the since of adventure pulled her closer and closer. She knew the rules didn't apply to her; yet right when she set a paw over the line her heart started to be twice as fast.

Eclipsepaw tried to relax; but her whole body tensed at the though of Thunderclanners. She knew that she, once to, was a Thunderclanner. But she was older now. She was 9 moons old and was starting to turn into the female that she was. Her tail was thinner, her legs slender and long, she was even loosing the kit fuzz that used to cling to her. Eclipsepaw spotted the rosemarry and padded over to it; she reach out to snatch it but was stopped by a sudden feeling that she was being watched. "H-Hello?!"

The day was very peaceful and serene. There was a light fog that could hide anyones scent, no matter where they were from. Sleeppaw used this to escape camp unnoticed and un detected. Sleeppaw easily weaved threw the tall trees with great agility.

He was much older now, being 9 moons and all. He had lost his kit-like face a moon ago and now was shaping up to be a very powerful and strong thunderclan cat. He decided to hunt for some prey along Fourtrees, hoping to catch a nice vole. He scented soemthing...odd. He didn't know what or who it was until it meowed, " Hello?" Sleeppaw immediately knew it was a clan cat and got into his hunter's crouch and stalked towards the cats voice.

Eclipsepaw's ears perked; she could hear nothing nor could she sent anything. Her dappled pelt fluffed up at the thought of being attacked by a loner or a rouge. Her long, slender tail lashed back and forth; a habit she did when she was nervous. Her big blue eyes searched for anything to blame to feeling on; a raven, a squirrel, a mouse;; anything. Yet she could see nothing but the green forest floor.

Eclipsepaw took a few steps back; she jumped at the feeling of long grass touching her back legs. The wetness of the grass soaked into her pelt. Making her shiver; "It is just my imagination" she said to herself.

Sleeppaw crept up behind the strange cat, passing the tall grass, wetting his fur. When the cat spoke again, Sleeppaw thought he could recognize soemthing about it, but shook that away. This was a tresspassing cat...It had no right to be here. Sleeppaw ponced on the cat holding her down.[/color]

Eclipsepaw let out a loud mrrow as she felt the warm body of another cat pin her down. She looked up at him; he had a very muscular body, blue eye like that of ice, and an dark grey pelt. Much like her's. Eclipsepaw looked down at her cream colored underbelly. Knowing that This tom could easily tear into her. She quickly tried kicking him off; pressing her backlegs into his stomach. Allowing her claws to slide out of the shield. "G-Get Off!" she yowled. Trying her hardest to sound strong.

Eclipsepaw let her sense gather all the data that they could. The sent of Thunderclan washed over her; clinging to her pelt. She knew this cat was in Thunderclan; but why was he attacking her? Ecpisepaw let out a pity squeal when she was unable to get the tom off of her. She felt weak, yet she didn't want to hurt him either. For some reason; she felt like she knew this cat from somewhere. "I-I am a medicine cat, from Windclan" she meowed.

Sleeppaw was astounded how easily this cat had given up and at how she didn't fight back."Oh, sorry, I didn't know you were a medicine cat...but still...why are you on Thunderclan territory?Sleeppaw wanted to say that he knew this she-cat from somewhere..but he couldn't pinpoint it. The world seemed the stand still while this was going on. Everything was still and silent. No birds or prey were making any noise or scurrying laong the brush. The world just seemed to want to see what would happen next...[/color]

Eclipsepaw was about to explain how medicine cat's were allowed to cross boundaries as along as they were their for "business"; but was caught up. Suddenly a memory came back to her; One of her most precious memories. She looked deep into the tom's eyes, trying to ready his emotions. "S-Sleepkit? Is that you?" Eclipsepaw felt her body start to tremble from excitement, "D-Don't you remember me!!" she meowed excitedly

Sleepkit was amazed that this she-cat knew his name all of a sudden...but then sometime ticked in his brain...Eclipsepaw?." Eclipsepaw!?" Sleeppaw's heart raced a mile a minute. Could this be his long lost friend who joined Windclan moons ago?" Eclipsepaw!!! I havn't seen you in moons!" Sleeppaw let Eclipsepaw go and stepped back to let her recuperate.[/color]

Eclipsepaw quickly got up; her head spun from getting up to fast. She purred softly; just knowing her kithood crush was by her side again. "Sleepki- Or it must be Sleeppaw now isn't it?". Eclipsepaw felt the words come out of her mouth without shudder; It made her quite happy. She pressed her muzzle into his shoulder, allowing his sent to take over her. This was what she hated most about going to Windclan, never could she love Sleeppaw the way she wasn't to all those moons ago. Just feeling him made her want to run back to Thunderclan. Yet who knows if Brownstar would accept her once again; plus she would be away from her father if she left for him. The though of her father being alone made Eclipsepaw feel guilty.

"I-I have missed you so much" she purred; her eyes pools of water. "I-I have been so buisy with training I haven't gotten to see you- it h-has been... 3 moons;; such a long time" she whispered mainly to herself.

Sleepkit was surprised at how affectioante Eclipsepaw was to him. Sleeppaw started blushing for a second, but eventually regained his confidence and took in Eclipsekit's scent." Yes..3 loooooong moons. I can't believe that I couldn't recognize you at first." Sleeppaw was now with the cat he loved. He could stay like this forever. Sleeppaw's happiness turned to sadness. as he knew eventually that this moment ould have to end and Eclipsepwa would soon go back to Windclan." I wish I could be with you forever..but our clans tear us apart. I know you can't come to Thunderclan, you'd miss your father too much." Then Sleeppaw had a thought swoop into his head. What if i joined Windclan? But could Sleeppaw leave his honeclan to live with his beloved Eclipsekit?[/color]

Eclipsepaw's dappled pelt prickled when Eclipsepaw realized what she was thinking; and as soon as the emotions came. They were gone. "Sleeppaw; it really i-is good to see you. W-who is your mentor. I think I can s-still remember a few warriors from when I lived in Thunderclan" purred Eclipsepaw Just happy to have some company. Eclipsepaw shook her pelt; allowing it to slowly settle along her back. "B-Badgersoul has been keeping me so busy that I have never had any time for battle training"

" I don't have a mentor yet, I hope Brownstar assigns one to me soon. i want to start training as soon as possible."Sleeppaw replied.Sleeppaw noticed that before she aksed the question, she had some mixed emotions bubbling up inside of Eclipsepaw."Did you want to say something, Eclipsepaw? You seemed to have something on your mind earlier before you asked about my mentor."[/color]

"N-No!!' Eclipsepaw shook her head quickly; she really did have nothing to say. Many things and emotions ran through her head; like silver bullets they flashed. It made her sad, it made her glad. Yet truthfully she just wanted them to be gone. Eclipsepaw's head started to pound;she didn't like this. Not one bit. The strange sent of what she used to smell like; the trees that seem to move closer and closer each breath, these emotions. S She wanted to run; just get away from Sleeppaw, Thunderclan, Memories;; she wanted to get away.

Eclipsepaw took a few kitsteps back. She felt sick; the world spinning around her; butterflies cascaded inside her stomach. Eclipsepaw closed her beautiful, round blue eyes. Allowing herself to gain balance over her thoughts and emotions once more. She let in a shaky breath, seizing the butterflies.

Sleeppaw saw in horrror as Ecliseppaw started backing up and being all fearful." Eclipsepaw!?..Cmon we need to get you somewhere to rest and calm down!"Sleeppaw hurriedly rushed to Eclsieppaw andtryied to calm her down as much as he could.[/color]

Eclipsepaw felt embarrassment race around her body; making her hot. "I-I Am F-f-fine" she whispered. Her voice small and shaky from both embarrassment and fear. Eclipsepaw has always been one to be easily scared; even when she was around her father; the tiniest movement could make her jump. Yet she was also very afraid of doing something wrong; afraid of being hated or disliked. Eclipsepaw was always so timid; always wanting to help everyone. She was holding Starclan on her shoulders.

Eclipsepaw sat down; wrapping her long; fluffy dark tail around her little white paws. Eclipsepaw let in a shaky breath and lead up against Sleeppaw. Letting the feeling of knowing a friend was near by take over her; She closed her eyes once more and let out a shaky sigh. "I am fine" she repeated stronger, opening her eyes to stare at Sleeppaw. Her dappled pelt blending in with his' .

Sleeppaw relaxed as Eclipsepaw seemed to calm down a bit." Don't scare me like that ever again." I thought you were going to Starclan!"Sleeppaw knew that he had to say what was on his mind now." Ecliseppaw...." Sleeppaw took in a breath and said," Eclipsepaw...I....I-I love you. You've always known that I bet, but I truly do. I always want to be with you. I know you don't want to leave Windclan, and if I left Thunderclan for you, thenyour Medicine cat duties would get in the way of our relationship. Medicine cats can't have kits either, so me leaving Thuderclan for you would be a lost cause cuz(didnt know how to spell it)our relationship would have to end as soon as you were Medicine cat. I love you and always want to be with you but I just don't know how. I feel lost without you, I can't do anything without you...I NEED you Eclipsepaw!" Sleeppaw heart was poundding so hard that he thougfht Starclan could hear.[/color]

Eclipsepaw's eyes grew wide; fear clenched her heart as she felt it pound against her rib cage. Her breaths became harsher; hyperventilating. Breathing growing faster she got up and took many steps back; shaking her head back and forth. Her eyes looked so big; her pelt was on end. Emotions raced around her once more; she knew Sleeppaw could never be with her. HE said it himself! Then why did he just tell her this? Eclipsepaw wouldn't be able to take it if she agreed with him. She knew that next time they would see one another; Sleeppaw would have kits of own and a mate to match.

"N-NO" she yowled; a longing in her voice told Sleeppaw that she shared his emotions. Yet her head told her to run; so she did. She twisted around and raced towards to plains. Dodging this way and that until she made it to Windclan border. She stepped over the line then relaxed. Even though she was only a few yards away from where she once was. She looked towards Sleeppaw and shook her head. "p-please forgive me" she whispered before rushing off to camp.

Sleeppaw searched through Eclipsepaw's big, open eyes to see any happy emotions at all, but only saw fear and regret.As Eclipsepaw started running to her border, Sleeppaw knew that he had said the wrong thing. Chasing Eclipsepaw to the Windclan border, Sleeppaw just made out 'please forgive me' from Eclipsepaw." NO!"
Sleeppaw flew past the border onto Windclan to find Eclipsepaw. I dont care if I get caught! I must tell Eclipsepaw that it was wrong to blurt that out and to say that I'll never love another cat as much as her.Sleeppaw felt exposed on the Moorland and was very disoriented with the new scents. Where is she!Sleeppaw knew that he couldn't find her now.Sleeppaw stopped, laid down, and started to cry...[/color]

A dark shadow watched as a flailing medicine cat apprentice ran for cover. Her beautiful dappled pelt stuck up on edge; her big blue eyes wide with fear. She was hyperventilating; something she did when was quite upset. Her pounding paws made a very soft sound; but the shadow could hear it. It's echoing; a frantic pace. Trying to get away from something... or someone.

The shadow's dark amber eyes watched as a Thunderclan apprentice crossed onto the border. His pelt grey; like that of a rock. The Thunderclanner was chasing a medicine cat apprentice on her own territory. This was one of the many reasons why this shadow hated Thunderclanners. They thought they could do what ever they wanted . Always boosting about how their clan was perfect. It was sickening.

Quickly the shadow bounded over to the thunderclanner; his lean muscles stretching as he ran. The shadow stopped a few fox tails away . His amber eyes glowing with hatred for the little apprentice. "What is a Thunderclanner doing on Windclan territory!?!" hissed the shadow deeply. His voice was deep; his eyes cold. Body thick with muscles. "You Thunderclanners always think you can do what ever you want; like the warrior code doesn't exist! But here is Windcllan, the rules are made to be followed and no one can get away fro mthem" hiss the shadow darkly.

Sleeppaw wasn't very surprised when a Windclan Warrior confronted him as he lay there in Windclan territory.Sleeppaw didn't recognize this tom, not that he recognizes most Windclancats anyways, but still, he has a vague figure."Thunderclan is true to the warrior code!I might not be but the rest of Thunderclan is."Sleeppaw sighed."Do what you want, I dont care...Take me to your prison or kill((seriously injure)) me or what ever you want. I just don't care anymore."Sleeppaw slunked down on the Moorland hoping to go to Starclan right then and there. If I can't be with the one I love, what is there to live.[/color]

The dark tom stared down at the pathetic apprentice; amber eyes burning hatefully down at him. Mud covered the black tom's muscular legs and his under belly. The resent rains caused the plains to become quite muddy, making the beautiful plains look more like the lands of Shadowclan. The small tom didn't seem to be surprised when The older Tom appeared; he seemed so depressed... so pathetic.

"You Thunderclanners don't know your place!" he spat hatefully, though most of his hatred was towards Sleeppaw for his own mate was in Thunderclan. "Many warriors would let you get away with crossing the territory; they would forgive you because you are a KIT", he spat out the word kit like it was a piece of cowfood. "But Not only did you cross the border; I saw you chasing a MEDICINECAT across the border!" Yowled the now in raged warrior. "and if that not enough that medicine cat apprentice is MY daughter!!"

Sleeppaw knew Eclipsepaw's father saw him chasing his daughter into Windclan, but he doesn't know the reason why, hopefully." Oh, so your Eclipsepaw's father. I'm glad I finally get to meet you. Before you shred me to bits, you might want to hear my side of the story."Sleeppaw relaxed as he started to tell he and Eclipsepaw's love life.
" As you should know, Eclipsepaw lived in Thunderclan. Eclipsepaw and I were exactly the same age and color of pelt. After a couple moons, Eclipsepaw and I were very close, enough for most cats to notice. Then Eclipsepaw left to join Windclan for you, which broke my heart. I know that you know that feeling, seeing how Eclipsepaw was born in Thunderclan, which means your mate left you for Thunderclan. Now, ever since Eclipsepaw left Windclan, we have been secretly meeting each other at Fourtrees and at some secretive places in Thunderclan Territory. We did this about four times exactly, and every time, my love for your daughter increased. Now, this last visit that we had, where you saw me chasing your daughter onto Windclan territory, was a very dreadful one. I had told Eclipsepaw that I loved her, and she couldn't handle all the fears and worries that would come with that love. So, she ran, and I followed her, hoping to say I was sorry and that I will never love another cat like her. So, there it is. All of it. Everything. What do you have to comment on this forbidden love?"[/color]

Demonheart's amber eyes stared down; anger filled his paws. Was this apprentice doing telling him this? Demonheart didn't care if he lived in the gray, Demonheart didn't know what to say. He didn't know if he should just end the apprentice's life right here, or should he talk to his daughter- about everything. Demonheart let out a small sigh; allowing his muscles to relax. He would never expected that Eclipsepaw had an admirer. She was beautiful, but her timid personality made her look so week; so soft.

Demonheart closed his amber eyes, something he did when he was in deep thought. Many possibilities came to mind; killing him, taking him to Windstar, taking him to Brownstar, Shredding him to a bloody pulp. Once Demonheart opened his eyes, he knew his answer. "It would be best for both you and Elcipsepaw; to never talk to each other again" He said simply, "Now leave; I will give you a five minutes head start"

" Yes Demonheart, I suppose so. Just.....just tell Eclipsepaw that I love her. It probably won't make a difference though, but please, just tell her."Sleeppaw felt the weight of Starclan on his shoulders. The cat he grew up with and had come to love was gone now. The clans were tearing them apart, just as Sleeppaw knew they would, but he didn't know it would hurt this bad. He started, slowly, walking towards the border, too hurt for words. He turned around at the border and whispered," Goodbye, my love, I hope to meet again"
He then walked onto Thunderclan border and was going to wait till a patrol catches him. He had to think about what all happened in the past couple days. So he lay there, deep in thought...[/color]

Demonheart watched as the apprentice scurried away; Demonheart let out a small sigh. He was always an overprotective father, that was one of the reasons he was so happy when Eclipsepaw became a medicine cat apprentice. So no tom could break her heart or hurt her. Yet it seemed to the black warrior that not even the Warrior code could keep toms away from her. Slowly Demonheart got up; his heart heavy knowing his daughter was growing up. Silently he though of Burningwing; how much he loved her. "Starclan forgive us" He said no only for himself, but the grey apprentice who loved the medicine cat apprentice. With that Demonheart slowly walked back to Windclan, he needed to talk to Badgersoul and Eclipsepaw. Not about Sleeppaw; but about her future as a medicine cat.

Orangepaw gazed at her surroundings, content with the silence of the forest around her. The young apprentice had been working hard lately, hoping desperately that she'd soon recieve a mentor. Now, in the quiet forest of ThunderClan, she hoped to recieve a break; to be able to relax and think about the past couple of days. Her mind wandered to the day Sleeppaw had poured everything out to her about him and Eclipsepaw. Ever since then she had felt a bit worried for her friend; she didn't want to see him get hurt. Orangepaw herself knew that Clan boundaries were a strong thing. She wanted to be there for Sleeppaw if he needed her, after all she had told him that she'd be there to help him with anything no matter what.
"NO!"
Orangepaw's ears pricked, claws unsheathing from her black paws. That had sounded like Sleeppaw! What was happening? Quickly Orangepaw got to her paws and raced toward where she'd heard the shout; right by the WindClan border. She crouched low in a clump of tall grass, amber eyes growing wide as she saw Sleeppaw and the large WindClan warrior. She felt her claws digging into the ground, ready to jump in if there was any trouble. But moments later she saw Sleeppaw walking away, back toward ThunderClan. Orangepaw watched, getting to her paws and walking toward Sleeppaw as soon as he was back in ThunderClan territory.
"Sleeppaw, what happened? Are you ok?" Orangepaw mewed when she reached him.[/color]

Sleeppaw heard Orangepaw's fearful question and only sighed."Yeah, I'm OK...I just talked to Eclipsepaw's father. He said me and Eclipsepaw should never talk to each other again, but I'm pretty sure we will((:])). I'm glad your here. I need to just be with someone to help me out now."Sleeppaw let Orangepaw comfort him. He liked it because...he needed it right now...[/color]
