Sunlight filtered in through the green canopy as a gorgeous havana she-cat padded swiftly across the ground, almost as if she were floating. A scent unlike any other seemed to waft from her. It was the mixture of many floral scents. Roses, lilies, pine resin, spring brook...She was beautiful in many ways. But none seemed to see that. But Evermist didn't mind that...She was strong-hearted and didn't notice that she was special. She never thought good of herself.

She left, why? Maybe it was me The gray and white turkish van turned his face towards the warriors den from where he lay in camp. I loved her, but aparently she lost interest. Reaching up he pawed at his face sadly, why had Streampelt left him so many moons ago? He was unsure, and would probebly always be. Shaking his head and pushing himself to his paws he turned towards the camp entrance and padded calmly into the forest.

Gray tail waving back and forth slowly behind him Paddingsoul slink through the undergrowth, eyes searching for any movement. When was the last time I talked to Soaring? Or his siblings? He haden't spoken with any of his kits, now apprentice aged, in a long time. Actually, he had only seen Soaringkit, where were the others? He ground his teeth together and slowed his pace, he needed to forgive and forget. Parting his jaws he breathed in and perked his ears, someone was nearby. Turning he gazed through a light wall of brush, peering at the beautiful she-cat on the other side.

Evermist's thoughts were elsewhere unlike Paddingsoul's. They were fixed mostly on her brother, Severedclaw. He had left, then decided to come back after being exiled by Meer. Who would have heard of such a thing? she thought to herself. Being exiled by a rogue group?! It's absurd. And then there's to think about why Severedclaw's acting all strange...
Once Severedclaw had come back, he never spoke to Evermist. He just went on to the Training Hollow and sat down and started talking to Flightfall like they were bestest of friends. That didn't make sense, though. Severedclaw hated any other apprentices they trained with when they were younger because he was so quiet. Don't forget Ivypaw, also. He has never left her side since he came back. Especially after she got injured. One: he would never talk to anyone out of pity. Two: Could he be in love with her....
"No. Absolutely not, Evermist. You're thinking too much into this."
She heaved herself up and moved a little over so that she could be in direct sunlight. The warm sun enveloped her in a heavenly light, making her gorgeous brown fur shine and her emerald eyes sparkle. The lovely scent of her seemed to radiate throughout the whole clearing and she narrowed her eyes in content. This was when she was most happy, when she could just enjoy the sun and warmth and forget all of her worries.[/shadow]

Finaly Soaringkit is old enough to become an apprentice! He will be a great warrior. His thoughts drifted from his mind as he lifted one soft paw and took a slow step forward. It's Evermist right? One ear flicked back as he pushed his head through the large berry bush, his right paw, then body followed suit. Stepping into the area Evermist was standing he shook himself "Heeello Evvermst" he mumbled as clearly as he could as he shook his pelt. His gray tail waved wildly behind him. Some would explain Paddingsoul as, not worth talking to, Why? Because he wasn't interested in talking to anyone else. The truth? He was shy, but once someone got to know him he would open up, in truth he was a happy free type spirit.

I wonder if Severedclaw just has changed. Maybe he really just feels sympathy to Ivypaw and wants to help her....But I mean there could still be the chance that he... Stop it! she scolded herself, not knowing of Paddingsoul's prescence behind her.
"Heeello, Evvermist."
Evermist turned her sparkling green eyes to the cat that spoke her name. Paddingsoul, correct? A burning itch at the base of her neck made her break out of her thoughts and gasp. She threw an apologetic glance at Paddingsoul and bit at the itch until it became a throbbing sensation and faded away until she almost forgot it was there. The taste of blood was faint on the roof of her mouth but she ignored it and smiled brightly at Paddingsoul.
"'Ello, um...Paddingsoul. Enjoying the nice sunlight?"

Paddingsoul stopped shaking his fur, pieces of bramble bush fell to the ground. Behind him the bush, and bramble bush, where he passed through, slowly molded back to what it used to be. I hate those things he thought with a quick glance backwards. Why did those things have to have so many thorns? Turning he bit at a thorn stuck in his fur on his side. Bloody things. He flicked his tail trying to throw a few lose thorns out, the rest he nibbled at.

He then heard Evermists gasp and turned to look at her. She was a beautiful cat, mabey only in his eyes but that didn't matter. He flashed a half smile and looked away nervously as she bit at the spot at the back of her neck. He sat himself, swishing his long gray tail around his pearly white paws he waited for her to finish speaking. The sun? He looked up at the streams of light filtering through the tree branches. Oh right, the Sunlight. "Uhh, ya." I suppose. "The sunlight is lovely."

Evermist flashed her stunning, full-blown smile back at Paddingsoul and hissed a little crossly as another burning itch--as scalding as a white flame--flickered into life on her left leg.
"I'm glad to hear that someone else enjoys the sunlight, today." Yeah, but I'm not glad to know that something's just not right.
She turned her attention back to the itch and nibbled at the one on her left leg. After a minute, she examined it, her green eyes gazing sightlessly at the terrifying growth under her bloodied fur.
Blood seeped from the open wound stickily, but the coloration and thickness of it was wrong. It stank of carrion and the blood was watery and yellow. Fur only hung it patches where the growth was and the skin under it was inflamed and slightly puckered. Evermist held back a cry of grief. What was wrong with her?
"Paddingsoul, come and take a look at this," she gasped. Fear almost making her choke on her words.

Paddingsoul sighed and looked away into the forest. Hunting would be good today, maybe I can go hunting later? He blinked and looked back to Evermist, she was nawing on her leg now. Does she have bad fleas? He thought in confusion. He was about to sit down and look away but then he heard a gasp. Perking his ears he turned and looked over to the she-cat. Padding forward Paddingsoul looked down to her leg, his eyes widened. "I...I don't know." He took a step back and looked up to Evermists eyes, "Maybe a thorn is embedded in your leg? We should get you back to the camp".

Evermist shook her head. Severedclaw knew enough about remedies and all that medicine cat stuff to have shown her what any type of wound looks like. "No. That's not it." She looked deep into Paddingsoul's eyes for a moment and craned her head to look at the one on the base of her neck and the on her hind leg. "Oh, no." This wasn't thorns. Unless some cruel apprentice decided to put thorns in her bedding. For some reason, Evermist highly doubted that. Her green, jade gaze looked back up at Paddingsoul and shined with fear. "You're right, we need to get to the camp immediately."

A shiver ran through his body as he gazed at Evermist's wound. What's happening? he asked himself silently. He wasn't a medicine cat, wasn't even close, but even he knew they had to get back to camp. If some cat did this I'll personally rip their fur off. He flicked his tail on her shoulder and nodded towards camp. "Alright, come on, I'll help ya out" He placed his tail over her shoulders as if she was a blind cat, wanting to help guide her back to the medicine cats den. But he knew she could handle herself, but if he had his tail on her shoulders he would be able to tell if she was going to topple one way or the other.[/color]

Evermist was a cat much unlike her brother. If any cat had offered to help him, well... Let's just say he would have released what would seem to be StarClan's wrath on whoever it was. But Evermist took comfort from Paddingsoul's gesture. Though it did annoy her in the slightest bit that Paddingsoul was treating her like an elder, she didn't show it.
Evermist walked besides Paddingsoul, her havana brown pelt glimmering like a soil colored gem. Her eyes were like emeralds radiating light from within as she gazed up at Paddingsoul. Though Evermist was not a small cat, she was the size of an apprentice compared to the tom. Her muscles were lean and feminine, while his rippled under his cloud-gray fur. Blinking her eyes sheepishly, Evermist tore her gaze away from Paddingsoul and looked ahead. "So, how old are you exactlly, Paddingsoul?" Evermist's words didn't sound right coming out of her mouth and she tried to draw a breath in. The air tasted stale in her burning mouth as it went down her inflamed throat. She shivered as beads of sweat ran down her forehead and into her eyes. A fever was raging its way through Evermist's body. We must find Severedclaw! He'll know what to do!
Gasping for air, Evermist halted and collapsed to the ground. "Paddingsoul... We. Have. To. Find. My. Brother..."
