((Alright, all Windclanners please respond to this ok? I will respond once most cats have come to her call.))
I can't remember the last time we had a ceremony. Light tan ears flicked back as the new, young, leader gazed around the barren Windclan lands. Overhead the Sun was beginning to set in the sky. Evening, one of the best times of day. With a flick of her tail Windstar moved towards the highrock, her deep blue eyes shone with a hint of determination. She flexed her claws before she crouched low and launched herself atop the rock that overlooked the camp. It wasn't the same as Thunderclans rock, but she wouldn't know that. She gazed around the camp with a guarded expression. She was nervous, this would be her first meeting.
Taking a deep breath Windstar called out to the clan "Let all cat's old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!" She hoped silently that the clan would accept her, Of course they will. I was the deputy, I deserve this She sat down and pulled her tail around her hind paws and waited silently for the clan to respond to her call. In the back of her mind she knew she had to appoint a deputy, give kits mentors, and make a warrior. The young tan leader gazed out over the camp, waiting for a response.

Grey tipped ears pricked at the call of her leader, rousing Snowbird from her doze at the back of the warrior's den. She was quick to her feet, a wave of excitement tempered with a nauseating worry washing over her. There was the possibility that some kits were to be apprenticed, and that could mean she might become a mentor, though she refused to get her hopes up. She was only a young warrior, and probably not suited to be a mentor just yet. A pang of sympathy went out to Windstar, the new Windclan leader, as she stepped out into the open. This would be her first meeting, and it wouldn't surprise the snow pelted warrior if Windstar was nervous. Rubbing a grey paw over her soft white coat, Snowbird quickly trotted over to the highrock, her deep blue eyes sparkling with respect and sympathy as she stared up at her leader.

Cheetahpaw's tall, rounded ears pricked at the sound of Windstar's call. She felt her paws, pricking with excitement at the thought that it was time. She couldn't help but wonder if today was the day. The day they'd get a new deputy, and the day she'd finally become a warrior. After all, Cheetahpaw was around thirteen-moons-old now, a moon past the usual warrior age. A wide grin formed on her face as the long-legged she-cat got to her paws. Her amber eyes were bright as she made her way out of the apprentice den, the black dapples on her tawny pelt shining against the flame-like tawny base. Cheetahpaw looked up at Windstar, respect glinting in her eyes. Though she mourned the loss of Wingstar, Cheetahpaw still respected her new leader, and would follow her anywhere. Her amber eyes moved throughout the camp, searching for Creek or even Singedpaw but not seeing either. Her whiskers twitched in disappointment, hoping to see one of them later on. The only cat gathered that Cheetahpaw could see was Snowbird, one of the younger warriors. Cheetahpaw padded forward, taking a seat near where Snowbird was. She offered the gray and white warrior a smile before her eyes returned to Windstar. Cheetahpaw's mind was moving quickly. She hoped desperately that the other cats would come soon, for she wasn't sure how long she could wait. [/blockquote]

The leader's voice found it's way to the warrior's den. The cream tom's dark brown ears flicked with mild annoyance at being woken up, but he lifted his head curiously. A ceremony? Well, this should be interesting.
Lifting himself to his white splashed paws, Ferretpelt allowed himself a long stretch before he slipped out of the den. Yawning and blinking as he came out into the light, Ferretpelt sought out his leader. Windstar was waiting for her Clan to come to her call. No doubt she'll be apprenticing some kits. His cold blue gaze stared long and hard on Windstar, his thaughts swimming like minnows in his mind.

RavenWindclan tom---------------------------------
Shadow ringed the camp walls, shading the charcoal black tom that basked there beneath the towering gorse bushes. The sharp thorns barely pricked the surface of his sleek pelt as he observed the cats pooling around the high stone like ducks crowding a twoleg kit with bread. He almost sneered as he watched them, eyes wide and curious swarming around each other, pelts brushing and quick whispers passing in between each of them. Raven had no desire to push his way through them, and though he knew he must go over there eventually, he would stay around the outside of the dense sphere of cats. His small size may make others consider him as a large kit, and he didn't want to be swept aside like a stray piece of moss.
He finally rose, stretching out his back and clawing up chunks of compressed dirt, mumbling with satisfaction as the kinks in his spine relaxed. curling his tail around his hind legs, she drew his tongue over the bulk of his pitch black pelt, grimacing at the grimy taste that stung his taste buds. Normally, he would allow his pelt to go for days before ripping out stubborn knats and burrs, but today was special, today wasn't just like any other day that he had experienced. What made today special, was that he would become a warrior, even more important to him seeing as he had had no mentor to guide his first clumsy practice sessions. It was only himself that had brought him to this day. Himself, and of course, Windstar. With a wide grin on his face, he sauntered forward to drop himself down a few kitten steps away from Ferretpelt. He glanced at the creamy pelted warrior with barely veiled annoyance. Another cat younger then him. Another cat a warrior before him.
Raven drew in a breathe to quickly, choking as the sharp intake stung his lungs. He was sure the tom in front of him would fix a glare on Raven's dark amber eyes. But he had to remember, It wasn't Windstar's fault that he hadn't been made a apprentice. It wasn't her fault. Whatever Silverstar, and then Wingstar had thought to deprive the dark tom of his apprentice and warriorship, it wasn't the tan pelted she-cats fault. He had to remember that. She was the one that would finally free him from the shadows of the nursery.

Ferretpelt's ears angled back. Another cat was approaching. He turned to look, peircing the dark tom with icey blue eyes. Raven. The cream and seal-pointed warrior sighed irratibly and turned to look up at Windstar. This Clan needed lots of adjustments made. What would it look like to the other Clans if they knew WindClan was home to a full rown cat with a kit's rank? We need better leadership. Ferretpelt rolled his shouders a little and flexed his calws. His tail tip began to twitch with impatience.

Snowbird glanced up, narrowing her eyes at Ferretpelt as she caught his glare to Raven. She turned her gaze to him, eyes full of sympathy as she thought of just what he had endured. Maybe today will be his day she thought, giving him a quick smile before averting her gaze. Maybe today he will join us as a warrior. He deserves it so much.

r o s e y My love shall not falter
Rosepelt looked up at the highrock. it's certainly high, she thought to herself as she peered up wards, her big brown eyes staring at her leader who she dearly loved. Rosepelt had always loved the Warrior Code and the system by which the Clans ran. The older warriors had always been the cats she admired. And although her sadness that her old mentor and dear friend was gone was painful, she had to move on... just like she did after Amberwind left, and Hollowheart, and Brownclaw... it was time to move on.
Rosepelt was moving up in the ranks. Like her father before her, she was becoming the respected warrior as her age increased. It was nice, and she enjoyed the complements and power-- her goal was always to be the center of attention, but there was still something missing, some dark, hidden pain she just could not face.
"Oh, well, it doesn't matter," she confirmed to herself as she kept gazing up at the highrock. I wonder if the day will come that I shall be the one up there, announcing to the Clan the news...

A dark hued tom padded lightly under the high rock as Windstar's strong voice reached his audits. Zerowing flicked amber orbs up towards the leader. How ironic, the same name as the past leader who founded Windclan. No doubt Starclan didn't make this cat leader by accident. The tom's long tail flitted back and forth slowly and he let out a soft purr as he saw a lot of cats had already gathered beneath the tall rock that adorned the camp. Zero smiled towards Cheetahpaw, she would be a warrior soon. She deserved it, she was a loyal cat. Zerowing then sat down near Snowbird. He had too seen the glare Ferretpelt flashed at Raven. Just ignore him. He is always glaring or yelling at some cat. the older warrior said casually.
A streamlined, beautiful she-cat padded from the warrior den. Her pale grey pelt glimmered as if raindrops adorned it. Her name fitted her though - Rainshowers. The femme let out a happy mew to see Windstar perched upon the tall rock to announce something. She grinned and flicked her tail as she padded up to the other cats gathered around. Maybe today she would be made a mentor. Rainshowers sat down next to Cheetahpaw. She knew the feline pretty good and she nudged her gently on the shoulder. Maybe Windstar is going to make you a warrior today. That would be great, then you would get to go into the warriors den - it's a lot more roomy in there than the apprentice den. Rainshowers smiled kindly at the spotted cat.
A tortoiseshell tom padded slowly from the apprentice den. His coat puffed out in a few places and his green orbs shined brightly. Singedpaw let out a small yawn and then stopped. Windstar stood on top of the tall rock. He let out a squeak and then groomed his pelt quickly. If this is my warrior ceremony I don't want to look like a dirty rouge. What's wrong with you? Singedpaw bounded over to the group and settled next to Zerowing, the tall black tom. He hoped he could become strong and proud like the other warriors...maybe even like Windstar.
A long haired she-cat's soft paw steps sounded through the entrance. She had heard Windstar's call and she raced home. Her paws guided her to the apprentice den where she awoke her daughter, Noel. The little she-cat's hazel orbs flickered open. Come on dear. The clan is called to a meeting. Creek's gentle voice spoke. Why do we have to go? We never did anything like that before. The small she-cat said. We were loners before, Noel. Come on now. Windstar is calling. She won't wait forever. The older she-cat's voice was a bit harder this time. Slowly the cream hued she-cat stood up and padded to the group of cats with her mother. They sat towards the back. Creek gingerly washed her kit's pelt. It was time she was made a true apprentice of Windclan.

((Owly you wanted Noel to get an apprentice name right? If so any Ideas?))
Brilliant blue eyes gazed out over the gathering cats as slowly more arrived. She smiled and shifted the slightest to give her a better view of the cats sitting close to the highrock. Nervous? Yes, scared? Maybe. She took a deep breath as Creek bounded into camp and moved to the apprentice's den. Noel needs to be apprenticed too. Her whiskers twitched in anticipation, this was going to be a big meeting for the clan. As Singedpaw sat, pulling at his fur attempting to make it look nice she pushed herself to her paws. She watched with warm eyes as Creek and Noel moved into the clearing and seated them selves. Alright, lets start this meeting.
Soft tan paws pulled the she-cat to the edge of the highrock, but not the very edge, just close enough to gaze down upon the clan while standing. She smiled and nodded towards Raven, it was not only the true apprentice's time to receive their warrior names, it was his time too. "Cheetahpaw and Singedpaw please step forward." She flicked her tail to her side and looked to each apprentice in turn. She paused a second before continuing, she looked to Cheetahpaw first. "I, Windstar, leader of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Cheetahpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" She gazed at the apprentice waiting for an answer, after that she turned to Singedpaw. "I, Windstar, leader of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Singedpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Cheetahpaw looked up at the sight of Rainshowers. She smiled at the gray warrior, flicking her tail in greeting. Everyone was here, the ceremony would start soon. Her smile deepened as she listened to Rainshower's words, and the tawny and black she-cat nodded her head eagerly. "I hope so," she purred, voice shaky with how anxious she was. "I can't wait to join everyone in the Warrior's Den- if my ceremony is today." Her eyes moved to Raven for a split second, right after Ferretpelt had glared at the black tom. Cheetahpaw's amber eyes clouded with sympathy. Raven definitely deserved to be a warrior more then anyone. She hoped that today was his day too. Cheetahpaw wanted to snarl at Ferretpelt for the look he had shot Raven, but before she could do anything Windstar called for her and Singedpaw forward. Paws shaking with excitement, Cheetahpaw stepped toward Highrock. Her tawny pelt glistened like a flame, the black dapples glittering across it in an amazing pattern. She moved toward highrock gracefully, taking long strides. The long-legged she-cat sat before Highrock, nearly shaking with excitement. This was it. Finally, it was her time. "Cheetahpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Paws shaking, Cheetahpaw nodded. "I do." Her voice came out strong, determined. She was ready. [/blockquote]

The tortoise shell tom's heart stopped beating as he heard the leader speak. Her voice was strong and vibrant. She was perfect, the new leader of Windclan. The one cat who would determine his destiny in the clan. Singedpaw listened intently. Windstar called for him and Cheetahpaw. The feline held his breath and padded on long, thin legs with a strong gait up to her. He looked straight into her bright eyes. The tom's own pelt glistened in the bright sun and his ivy hued orbs glittered. His heart beat around in his chest like a caged bird. The tom let out a deep sigh of excitement to stop himself from yowling with joy.
Singedpaw flicked his fluffy tail as he stepped up beside Cheetahpaw. He remembered how they had pretty much hated each other when they first met for real but that hate and turned into a tight friendship slowly. Uphold the warrior code...protect and defend this clan... Singedpaw listened to the leader and then looked nervously at Cheetahpaw before turning back to Windstar. He quivered a little and then looked straight into the leader's proud eyes. I do. His voice came out strong despite how excited and nervous he was.

With a swift movement Windstar let herself drop down off the highest part of the rock and stand before the apprentices. Her tan coat shined slightly in the sun, the faint black and white ticking that covered her shoulders was more visible now. Her brilliant blue eyes, her eyes shone an icy blue hue, glinting ever so slightly. She smiled and stepped forward towards Cheetahpaw. "Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior name. Cheetahpaw, from this moment you will be known as Cheetahpelt. StarClan honors your courage and personality, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan." She leaned forward and set her muzzle on Cheetahpelts forehead. She then stepped back, nodded to the new warrior and turned to Singedpaw. "Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior name. Singedpaw, from this moment you will be known as Singedsoul. StarClan honors your bravery and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan." She, yet again, leaned forward and rested her muzzle on Singedsoul's forehead. Taking a step back she nodded to him.
She moved back to the top of the rock so she could see the rest of the clan. Turning to the two new warriors she smiled "You two will sit vigil tonight while the rest of us sleep. Congratulations." She swished her tail to her side and waited for the clan to stop shouting the new warriors names, she even joined in for a moment or two. [/blockquote]

Cheetahpelt...
Cheetahpaw- No, Cheetahpelt stood proudly before her leader and her Clan. Finally she was a warrior. A huge grin appeared on her face as she turned to look at Singedsoul. She nodded at the tortoiseshell tom with joy, still smiling. Sure, the two had their disagreements at first, but now they were friends. Cheetahpelt wanted to yowl out her joy, wanted to sprint around the camp at top speed. But there was still more to the meeting, she knew that for a fact. Noel still needed to get her apprentice name, and she hoped Raven would get his warrior name as well. Cheetahpelt looked up at Windstar, dipping her head respectfully and smiling at her leader. She listened to the roar of the crowd as they called her and Singedsoul's new names. Joyfully Cheetahpelt returned to the crowd as they stopped cheering, waiting for the rest of the ceremony to continue. The vigil would be after the ceremony, and though she didn't look forward to being silent all night, Cheetahpelt was still happy. She returned to her seat beside Rainshowers, waiting for the rest of the ceremony.

Singedsoul held himself to keep from letting out a loud yowl and running about the camp screaming out his new name. The orange, copper, black, and other hued male grinned and turned to Cheetahpelt. He was happy for her. They could both be warriors together! It was a good thing one of them wasn't left behind in apprenticeship. Singedsoul was about to let out a mrow of joy but held his jaws shut. He followed Cheetahpelt by Rainshowers and sat next to her. His bright eyes sparkled with pride and happiness. He couldn't believe he was finally a warrior. Maybe he would someday be like Windstar - sitting atop the highrock, proud and tall. The tortoiseshell tom flicked and ear though and cast his eyes up towards the high rock again. What was there to do now? Then his green gaze caught Raven. He was never given a warrior ceremony. It was about time. Wingstar had long put off her duties as a leader and Windstar was fulfilling them. Singedsoul turned his gaze back to Windstar.

Windstar watched the two apprentice's move towards the back of the group, to sit next to Rainshowers. She flexed her claws and cleared her throat before speaking again. "Noel, Eclipsekit, Tanglekit, and Brightkit please step forward" She shifted slightly as the apprentice's moved forward. She took a deep breath and spoke again, "From this day forwards, until he has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Eclipsepaw. Rainshowers, come forward." She paused for a moment, "Rainshowers, you have proved your loyalty and bravery. I hope you will pass on some of those qualities to Eclipsepaw." She turned to Tanglekit, "From this day forwards, until he has earned his warrior name, this apprentice will be called Tanglepaw. Snowbird, come forward." She looked to the young warrior, "Snowbird, you have proved your kindness and willingness to learn. I hope you will pass on some of those qualities to Tanglepaw." She swished her tail to her other side and shifted her position slightly. "From this day forwards, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Brightpaw. Zerowing, come forward." She turned to Zerowing, "Zerowing, you have proved your intelligence and bravery. I hope you will pass on some of those qualities to Brightpaw." And finally she paused and turned her bright blue eyes on Noel, the young loner. She smiled a warm smile, "From this day forwards, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Hazelpaw. Demonheart, come forward." She looked to the older tom. "Demonheart, you have proved your quickness and loyalty. I hope you will pass on some of those qualities to Hazelpaw." [/blockquote] ((This was quick, sorry guys))

Snowbird The young warrior felt her heart shudder as her leader called her name. Quickly rising to her paws, the white pelted she-cat trotted forwards to stand beside the newly named apprentices. As her leader declared Snowbird to be Tanglepaw's mentor, she shivered with sheer delight. Steadying herself, Snowbird stepped forwards to press her nose against the young male's forehead. "I promise to be a good mentor." She whispered, finding it hard to believe that she was able to be a mentor even though she was so young. Snowbird stepped back, eyes bright with pride as she looked down at her new apprentice.[/sub]

Raven Windclan tom
----------------------------- ((Hey Ferny, I just thought i'd say that, I don't play Soaringfeather now, shes up for adoption, so maybe another cat should mentor Brightpaw?C=)) ----------------------------
Raven turned his head upward toward Windstar, trying to tune out all other sounds. He faintly heard Zerowing meow something to him, and turned his head to give the dark tom a long, blank stare before nodding his head absently, though he hadn't heard anything of what he had said. But what did that matter? No one had actually listened to Raven before now, not anyone in the nursery, not anyone except Drizzlekit and Windstar. Raven let out a restless and agitated breath that whooshed out of him painfully and swirled through the air, laced with frost. He glared at the back of Ferretpelt's head, imagining that the intensity of his gaze would turn to flames and singe a dark furrow right through the larger, yet younger, cat's head. He was so busy glaring at the creamy tabby that he only slightly noticed Snowbird fixing a sympathetic gaze on him, but reacted to slowly to return her glance. lowering his head, finally satisfied with the imaginary hole in Ferretpelt's head, he lowered his head to his paws, slumping onto the ground.
He knew it was only a short time before Windstar would announce his name, and finally grant him his deepest wish, that of warriorship. Would there be a special ceremony for an apprentice, no, a 'kit' who had been denied warriorship for moons? Raven didn't really think so, after all; He thought bitterly; Why would a cat get a special ceremony, when he hadn't even been important enough to be let out of the nursery. He felt a burn of envy as Cheetahpaw and Singedpaw got their warrior names, yet another pair of cats who had probably been kits when he was old enough to become a warrior, becoming warriors before him. Feeling a burn of guilt through his spine, he reminded himself that Windstar was the one who would finally make him a warrior, and he shouldn't take out his anger on her.

((lol alright Burneh ^^.....also normally I'll wait for more people to respond...but I really want to post now xD I actually have muse!)) The tan and white ticked she-cat gazed at the new apprentices with a sense of approval. She smiled, finally the clan would grow. Finally the clan could prosper and maybe develop into something better, beautiful maybe. Her brilliant blue eyes moved from the apprentice to Raven, slumped down at the back of the group. "Raven!" she called out above the murmurs of the clan cats sitting in the clearing. "Please, come forward" As far as I know there isn't a ceremony for a kit who is becoming a warrior and had no warrior training. She let the thought tumble around in her mind as the Warrior aged kit moved forward. She was picking out words to make her own, brand new ceremonial words.
She looked back to Raven and shifted herself slightly, taking a deep breath before speaking. "As we all age we go through the process of training and through training we all become strong warriors". She paused, turning over her next few sentences in her mind. "However, some cats start training late, or finish it late, all because of one reason or another. But eventually we are all made warriors." She looked into Raven's eyes, "Raven has been denied the option to train, to this clan everyone has called him Ravenkit for as far as anyone can remember. Raven is as old as I am, he is strong, a brilliant fighter, and even though he has never been granted apprenticeship, I will not let this continue." She searched the faces of the clan cats for a moment before continuing, "Raven, I know you seek your warrior name, to sleep in the warriors den. You have proven your loyalty and intelligence over and over. From this moment on you will be known as Ravenquill. The clan welcomes you as a full warrior."
She waited a moment, just in case the clan was going to cheer for the new warrior. But she wasn't done. "The clan needs a new deputy!" She paused letting all the attention turn back to her. "I say these words before the spirit of Wingstar, so that her spirit may hear and approve my choice. Ravenquill will be the new deputy of Windclan" She smiled and dropped off of the highrock, indicating the end of the meeting. She stepped forward quickly, nodding to Ravenqull, her eyes shining with happiness. [/blockquote]

Snowbird Snowbird beamed, yowling Ravenquills' name along with the rest of the clan. Her eyes glinted with sheer delight, what a fantastic day for the clan! She kneaded her paws into the earth, looking around at the other cats with great pride. How happy she was to be part of Windclan, to be a warrior and protector for this clan, and now a mentor for a Windclan apprentice. Nothing would ever ammount to the joy she felt at this moment.[/sub]

WHAT?!
Open mouthed and horrified, Ferretpelt turned to look at the newly named Ravenquill in utter bewilderement. Deep in the color-points mind, sense was clicking slowly telling him the warrior was older. Another clicking told him Windstar was also trying to show him favor and make up for past mistakes. Ferretplet's icey eyes regained their angry pierce, aiming deep into Ravenquill. I now have a real enemy.
Jaws set firmly together, Ferretpelt turned his glare on his leader. He wanted to accuse her of favoritism, that she only chose Ravenquill because of his past. However, a stronger argument came to mind.
"Ravenquill can't be deputy, Windstar." Ferretpelt mewed cooly as he stood up. His tail swayed subtly, he couldn't help it. "For one, he was never properly apprenticed. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be a warrior," he swept his gaze over his Clan mates in case they felt like arguing. "But it won't look good to the other Clans. Besides that, he's never had an apprentice. The warrior code says a cat must have trained, or be in the process of training, at least one apprentice before they are even alowed to be deputy. Your breaking the warrior code by choosing Ravenquill." Get around that one...

Ravenquill can't be deputy. Windstar's bright eyes shined in astonishment as she heard an argument rise. She sat down and pushed her front paws off the ground, sitting up to gaze over the heads of the clan cats to see Ferretpelt. She narrowed her eyes, anger rising in her chest, utter dislike burning through her veins. Ferretpelt. She dropped back down and stood, pushing her way through the cats to face Ferretpelt. "I'm breaking the warrior code?" She fought back the urge to unsheathe her claws and bare her teeth, so she didn't. "You don't think Wingstar and before her Silverstar might have broken it? Have you broken it?" She lifted her head and gazed into Ferretpelt's eyes. "Do you feel you could do a better job Ferretpelt?" Her tone wasn't kind, but it wasn't harsh either. It was simply normal. "It seems to me that Ravenquill has had an apprentice. Himself." She smirked, letting a cool tint enter her voice. "As far as I know Ravenquill is a fine cat, he will do the clan good". [/blockquote]

"The last thing I want to do is give Ravenquill a bad name." Ferretpelt mewed, dipping his head politely as Windstar made her way to stand before him. I must be getting under her fur, if she's going to honor me with a face-to-face conversation. "Ravenquill's a good deserving cat, the whole Clan knows that. But what about the warrior code? How is our Clan supposed to survive if we don't obey it?"
Ferretpelt's voice was smooth, calming. He didn't want to fight with Windstar, especially in front of the Clan. No, his goal was to win his Clanmates, even if they did hate him. Looking at each one in turn, the cream warrior began to pad around the assembled cats.
"Windstar and Ravenquill are both good StarClan-loving cats. No cat deserves to be deputy more than Ravenquill, and everyone knows Windstar is the best thing that's happened to the Clan in moons. But I can tell you now, StarClan would disapprove of Ravenquill's promotion. It's against the warrior code, every cat knows it." Ferretpelt stopped in front of Ravenquill himself. The toms insides were screaming with rage, but he remained calm and hid those emotions well.
"You don't want to break the warrior code, do you, Ravenquill?"

Snowbird
"Oh shut up, Ferretpelt!!" Snowbird hissed, rising to her feet and stepping towards him. "You make it sound like you've done nothing but good for this clan, but I'm sure that you've broken the warrior code at least once!!" The white warrior narrowed her eyes, intense fury channeled through those same bright brown orbs. Her fur stood on end, and her claws sheathed and unsheathed upon instinct. "Ravenquill is more than deserving of the title deputy, and going against the clan leader is almost like breaking the code in itself!" Snowbird's lip curled as she stood but several kit-lengths in front of Ferretpelt. Frustrated and furious beyond belief, it was taking every ounce of her self control not to rake her claws across his face.

The midnight black tom pricked his ears to Ferretpelt when the whole arguement started. His long tail flicked gently from side to side. This wasn't going to turn out pretty. Zero knew Windstar was a calm cat most times and would keep her cool for a while. The tom's amber orbs flitted from one cat to the other as they spoke. The conversation went from anger to more of suggestions in a sly way to get Ravenquill out of being deputy. Zerowing rested his tail tip on Snowbird's shoulder. Calm down Snowbird. The dark hued tom let out a growl and stalked over to Windstar's side. His tail whipped back and forth now. Zerowing growled and then turned angrily to Ferretpelt.
Break the warrior code? Ravenquill is doing no such thing! If he wasn't the right choice for deputy wouldn't Starclan have said something to us by now? And since when are you medicine cat Ferretpelt, Starclan rarely tells things to cats other than leaders and medicine cats. I don't think you're one of those rarities.
Zerowing called out to the color pointed tom. His golden orbs burned with anger but he contained himself. Zero wasn't a cat to lose his temper easily. He thrashed his tail still but let out a quick breath. What would Ferretpelt say to this? Probably some quick and angry comment. He wasn't a big fan of Zerowing.

Cheetahpelt had always been one of those cats to speak her mind. Right now, she was furious. Ferretpelt had absolutely no right to say those things about Windstar and Ravenquill! Cheetahpelt let out a small hiss under her breath, paws practically shaking from holding back her infuriated words for so long. No way would she let Ferretpelt get away with something like this. Why in StarClan's name did he think he was so special? She knew her vigil hadn't started yet, and didn't plan on holding her tongue any longer. "Oh get over yourself, Ferretpelt," Cheetahpelt hissed, neck fur rising and pelt bristling. "You don't have the authority to talk to Windstar like that. Ravenquill is ten million times better then you for this job! He has the respect from most of us, unlike you!" Cheetahpelt was now on her paws, claws digging into the ground with frustration. "Don't you dare accuse Windstar or Ravenquill of breaking the Warrior Code!"

Windstar's heart beat rapidly, and the normally calm she-cat was on the verge of loosing it. She whirled around to watch Ferretpelt move towards Ravenquill. She caught herself at the beginning of a growl and immediately choked it back, she didn't want to look like a fool in front of her clan. She watched as Cheetahpelt, Zerowing and Snowbird snap back at Ferretpelt, It's a good thing I know they are on my side she thought as she moved forward a few steps, allowing herself to get a clear line of site on Ferretpelt. "Ferretpelt". She paused, thinking for a moment and weeding out the words that could set her in a bad place. "Ravenquill is deputy like it or not Ferretpelt. We all dislike certain cats, just because you do not like Ravenqull doesn't mean you have to take it out on the clan". Her eyes were like ice picks, sharp and cold looking, "I suggest you stop this instant." [/blockquote]

Mouse-brained idiots. Didn't they listen to what I just said? No, of course not. You've got a bad reputation. Time to redeem yourself.
Sighing, and trying not to roll his eyes, Ferretpelt spoke calmly and slowly.
"Listen, I am not the medecine cat, and I never wanted to be." He glanced specifically at Zerowing. "Besides that, of course Ravenquill deserves to be deputy! I said that already, didn't I?" Now his gaze turned irratibly to Snowbird and Cheetahpelt. "All I'm saying is that this decision is threatening the warrior code. What if StarClan were upset about it? I suggest we let Ravenquill be deputy under a trial. That way we have a deputy, but Windstar has the chance to change her choice if StarClan disapproves. We could wait for a moon for a sign from StarClan. They'll tell us if they disapprove, I'm sure."
Ferretpelt looked at Windstar, trying to appear suggestive instead of threatening. Come on Windstar. You've got to see how the warrior code is being broken, at least. You don't want me as an enemy.

Cheetahpelt snarled at Ferretpelt, not buying a word he said. Bright amber eyes were narrowed into slits. She didn't want to start a fight, especially just after she got her warrior ceremony, but for some reason Ferretpelt was truly getting on the tawny and black she-cat's nerves. From past conversation Cheetahpelt knew that Ferretpelt hated cats born outside of WindClan, and she knew that made her an automatic enemy to him. After all, she had been adopted by WindClan at the age of three moons old. Cheetahpelt had been born a loner. If Ferretpelt knew that, she knew she'd have a hard time with the tom. "If StarClan disapproved, they'd tell us now," Cheetahpelt hissed. "What reason do they have to wait?" She glared at Ferretpelt, standing tall although she was a young warrior. Cheetahpelt never backed down, and now was now exception. I don't trust him, she thought to herself, digging her claws into the earth. Honestly, I don't think any of us should. Something doesn't seem right here... [/blockquote]

"Who am I, to know the ways of StarClan?" Ferretpelt rounded on Cheetahpelt, but kept his cool. He padded to her, keeping his voice gently calm. "I can't predict what StarClan will do, but listen to me. The warrior code says this is wrong. At least, Ravenquill should be given an apprentice." He managed not to growl. He hated providing the obvious answer to these mouse-brains, but somehow he had to earn their trust.
