Snowbird
"Then let him have my apprentice!" Snowbird yowled, inclining her head in defiance. Her heart thudded, as if it did not agree with what she had just said, but she ignored it. "If he must have an apprentice to be deputy then so be it. He can have my apprentice, and will officially be allowed to become the deputy." She looked down at Ferretpelt with a smug expression as she stood next to Cheetahpelt. "Is there anything else you wish to complain about? Or shall we declare this argument over?" The white-pelted warrior stood stock-still, still glaring at Ferretpelt as she waited for his repply, all the time her heart thudding at the thought of losing her apprentice, or losing this argument.

ooc:Snow, I love you, but Ferretpelt doesn't ^^ Please don't get insulted here.
Great StarClan, these cats are a horror!
"Look," Ferretpelt meowed, rolling his eyes. He couldn't help it. Obviously, some cats were a little passionate here. A little too passionate. They'll have to be removed. "I'm not suggesting that every mentor give out thier apprentices. That's mouse-brained. I just think that Windstar needs to change something." Ferretpelt glared at Snowbird. All the Clan hated him, but Snowbird seemed to be the most determined to argue with him. Oh, we'll argue later, don't worry.
Turning to Windstar, Ferretpelt, for the thousandth time, repeated what he was trying to make his Clanmates see. "Let Ravenquill be deputy, but give him an apprentice. The warrior code must not be broken." He met his leader's blue eyes with his own. If she wants to do her best for this Clan, than she'll listen to reason and give Ravenquill one of those stupid kits to train.

ooc| Haha, tis fine~ I think this fight between them is quite interesting.
Snowbird Snowbird looked at Ferretpelt with equal hatred and defiance. "You're the mouse-brained one." She whispered, turning away and letting her fur lie flat. Shaking her head, she stepped back to sit just outside the circle, a sudden feeling of sorrow washing over her. Maybe she would have to give up her apprentice. But, it would be worth it to prove Ferretpelt wrong. This victory, if it could be called that, would be bittersweet for the young warrior.

r o s e y Anger can only consume... never heal
A tiny smirk grew upon Rosepelt's face as she stared, coldly, at Ravenquill then glanced at Ferretpelt. None of these unloyal cats deserve this, she through angrily to herself. The only one that deserves it is my father... A tense feeling flowed into Rosepelt as she remembered how her loving, dear father left her at such a young age-- she barely remembered him besides his strength and power-- not to mention her partial hatred for him not being there for her.
It had been an ongoing battle with Rosepelt ever since both her parents passed away-- or so she thought. Rosepelt had always respected the warrior code. Wingstar had always respected the warrior code. How dare she defy Wingstar's name! My beloved friend and mentor.
"You don't think Wingstar and before her Silverstar might have broken it?"
"NO! Wingstar always followed the warrior code!" she screamed, detesting the very words that came out of her leader's mouth. "My mentor and friend was loyal to this Clan. All she ever did was love and protect you all." Wingstar had always been her closest friend. Why, when she went to the moonstone, it was Rosepelt who was asked to accompany here and stay outside the den-- not anyone else. It was not Windstar. Sure, she was not named Deputy, but only because Wingstar knew she was young and still pained by the loss of her parents-- only Wingstar knew.
Rosepelt now only glanced at Ferretpelt, who was apparently getting bombarded with rude remarks. "Ferretpelt has spoken the truth. Wingstar only taught us not to defy the warrior code-- please do not dishonor her name by doing so. Give her an apprentice." The tension in her muscles began to relax as she once again sat down.

The tan colored she-cat moved to the edge of the growing group, away from all of the shouts, she needed to think. She sat behind the group, head tilted towards the sky and eyes closed. Evey cat makes mistakes, we all learn. She sighed, Take my apprentice! Snowbird's words slashed through her peaceful silence, however peaceful it could be. But she pushed it from her mind and flicked her ears back, the daylight around the camp had faded to a darker, evening sky. She opened her eyes ever so slightly, stars began to show.
Rosepelt spoke, but what she said did not rattle Windstar. The past leaders changed the means of apprenticeship I was assigned four apprentices at the same time, isn't that a little past the warrior code? She felt Ferretpelts eyes burn into her fur, but she simply opened her eyes and calmly walked over to the highrock and jumped atop it. She turned around and gazed down onto the cats below. "Enough!" She waited a few moments for every cat to turn to face her. She watched as Snowbird stepped back and sat down, the poor she cat. It wouldn't be right for Snowbird to loose her apprentice.
"Every cat will break a rule one time or another," she looked to Ferretpelt "They'll cause a fight between the clans cats." She looked to Ravenquill "Or they will be denied apprenticeship." She let her gaze fall on every cat in the clearing. "Ravenquill will be deputy, flat out, that will not be changed. However, there are not enough apprentice's to go around. By saying that I mean Windclan's numbers are low." She paused, Where am I going with this? She seemed to freeze, staring blankly around, then she sat and turned her face towards the sky. "Some of you were at Wingstar's right paw, her best friends. You were either with her when she got her lives, or you talked to her and were raised with her. I didn't get the honor of being so close. In fact," she paused, looking down to the clan cats again "I'm not quite sure why she chose me." Her eyes fell upon Rosepelts pelt. "She had other worthy friends to pick from." She flexed her claws, scrapping them against the stone. "What I'm trying to say is sometimes the cat you least expect, the unpopular one will be picked for something they were born to do." She looked to Snowbird "I am not taking your apprentice away, you deserve it, however I will say one thing" She then turned to Ferretpelt. "Ravenquill will sit in on the apprentice training sessions, helping every cat with an apprentice train their apprentice, so in saying this Ravenquill now has an apprentice, more than one in fact."

r o s e y You must stand by what you believe in-- even if it gets you in trouble
"Some of you were at Wingstar's right paw, her best friends. You were either with her when she got her lives, or you talked to her and were raised with her. I didn't get the honor of being so close. In fact...I'm not quite sure why she chose me...She had other worthy friends to pick from."
Rosepelt only glared back into her leader's eyes, her frustration showing. However, her mouth remained closed as her new leader spoke her words of "wisdom." I was a better friend to her than you ever were she thought angrily to herself, still gazing up her leader with contempt. But fear not, Wingstar will make sure the warrior code is upheld. She always has, and always will be the guardian of this Clan, along with Silverstar. Her smugness made her only smile and nod to the leader-- more of a mockery than respect to her-- but a normal nod all the same that looked like every other cat's nod. This was not the right battle to fight. Wingstar had always taught her to be above her enemies.
Her gaze now softened upon Windstar as she thought her last thought which made her happier. She had to have faith in her dear friend and leader-- she just had to believe StarClan was going to punish the Clan if they did something wrong. Hollowheart and her mother were always stickler for the rules, they wouldn't let anything happen to this Clan. A pang of shame came over her as she imagined her father looking down on her, listening to her dark, inner thoughts. She shook her head, only partially listening to the rest of Windstar's words. I won't let them down. Not again.

At least someone's on my side now.
While Windstar was speaking, Ferretpelt padded to Rosepelt. He forced his blue eyes to soften. Gratefully, he nodded to her. "Thank you," he meowed in a soft voice. "Windstar means well, but sympathy toward a cat does not qualify them to be a deputy." With another respectful nod to the senior warrior, Ferretpelt turned to look back at Windstar.
"Who says Ravenquill is unpopular? I didn't!" Ferretpelt meowed when Windstar was finished. "Ravenquill, as I've said before, is a good deserving cat." he paused, thinking about Windstar's decision to give Ravenquill the chance to help with all the apprentices. Pacing now, the cream and brown warrior shook his head. "It's not the same, letting Ravenquill take part in all the apprentice training. A deputy should do that anyway. Where's Badgersoul? We need to talk to StarClan about this, even you must see that, Windstar."

Windstar sighed and shook her head, why wouldn't Ferretpelt just settle for what was going to happen? "Yes, you're right Ferretpelt" A small voice in her mind sneered at her, Oh right, just give him the satisfaction of being right. Nice going. "A deputy should sit in, I guess I should have said it differently. Ravenquill will be a second mentor to the apprentices', not only sitting in but training them as well. If Snowbird can not train her apprentice, Ravenquill will, if Demonheart can't then Ravenquill will." She narrowed her eyes and looked to the medicine cat den. We need to talk to StarClan about this, even you must see that, Windstar
"Fine, do what you with Ferretpelt. Talk to Badgersoul, talk to Starclan, talk to the other clans if you wish." She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. "The stars are out, do you wish for Starclan to watch us fight? I'd rather not. But Ravenquill will have every right to take out any apprentice for a training session. However, Brightpaw will be his main apprentice." She looked to the apprentice's mentor. "You don't mind right Zerrowing?" Her gaze rested on the young tom, she pulled her gaze away and looked to Rosey, her eyes soft and kind. But she said nothing. She looked to Ferretpelt, "Brightpaw is Ravenquill's apprenitce. If you think Starclan has a problem with my choice tell me why this night is so clear?"

Ferretpelt looked up sharply, pausing in his tracks. Did she just give in?
"Yes," he mewed slowly, searching Windstar with genuine surprise in his blue orbs. He glanced at Zerowing. "I suppose if Zerowing doesn't object. The stars are clear, aren't they?"
Ferretpelt studied the sky, growing darker and darker as this meeting stretched on. Strange, that would end somewhat in his favor. The stars seemed to dance as they glittered up above thier heads. He could imagine ranks of starry cats glaring down at him. Their pelts bristeling, their eyes narrowed in cold fury. Did their claws dig into the night while they raged over the ambitious warrior below them? Ferretpelt swallowed a hard lump. Or was the sky clear because they agreed with him? Would they defend their warrior code?
"I think," Ferretpelt mewed carefully, tearing his gaze from the sky and looking at Windstar. "I think that you should talk to Badgersoul about this. That's my advice."

((This'll be short, watching a movie))
Windstar gazed down at Ferretpelt, silently, her eyes guarded. She sheathed her claws, luckily she was atop the rock, no one noticed. She shifted before sliding off of the rock to land on the ground in front of it. "I will" You can be sure of that. She looked up at Zerowing for a moment, seeing if he was going to respond to the apprentice conversation. But instead she turned away, her eyes watering a little bit. The first meeting I call turns to shambles, of course, why not? She was probably going to beat herself up over this. She swished her tail to her side with her back half-turned to the cats. "Meetings over!" she called, and turned her face to the rock.

</3 ....... Zerowing's amber eyes were dark. Why was Ferretpelt such a pestering cat? Starclan seemed to be fine with Windstar's choice for deputy. The ebony tom narrowed his eyes as he watched the cats of Windclan argue more. Ferretpelt continued against Windstar. Every words she had had another argument from Ferretpelt. Zerowing glared coldly at the other tom. What was his PROBLEM. The long limbed feline stood up and flicked his tail. Zero nodded as Windstar said Brightpaw would be Ravenquill's apprentice. He didn't care so long as the deputy was given his rights.
Zerowing growled as the fight heated up a bit more. He slid his claws out slowly but slid them back into place when Windstar declared the meeting over. He watched her whip around and faced the tall rock. His amber orbs softened as he realized this was windstar's first meeting with the clan. Of course bitter Ferretpelt had ruined it with yet another argument. Zerowing glared once more in Ferretpelt's direction and padded softly over to Windstar. He gently rested his tail tip on her shoulder. Just forget what ferretpelt said. He's only trying to get under your skin. He's just a big mousebrain...we all know that. The rest of the clan believes in you Windstar. I've heard many of them say ow glad they are for you to lead them.

and so the plot starts xD
Windstar stared at the rock for a long moment, and as she always did she held her breath, staring ahead. She sat there, not breathing, as she followed the gentle curves and lines in the rock. She saw the lighter parts, where the moonlight shadowed parts of the rock. She saw the deep impressions and the shallow dips, all giving the rock it's beautiful, powerful, look. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment, listening to murmurs of the cats around her, or something else, she wasn't sure. Then a tail rested on her shoulder and she lifted her head, turning her gaze to spot Zerowing. A faint smile crossed her face, "Thank you Zerowing." she paused and pushed herself to her paws, glancing back at Ferretpelt. "Some cats. Some cats just don't know where to stop."

Snowbird The white pelted warrior stepped forwards, moving away from the other warriors as she came to sit beside Windstar. "I am sorry." She whispered, staring up at the sky as her shoulders sagged. "This wouldn't have happened had I not tempted him into a fight." She looked at her leader apologetically. "I'm positive he'll have words with me later..." Shaking her head, Snowbird let a small smile brighten her face. "And...thankyou. For letting me keep my role as a mentor. It means so much to me to be recognized." She dipped her head to Windstar, looking at her with bright eyes.
