WARNING:CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SUNSET AND THE POWER OF THREE! IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO READ ANY SPOILERS THAT WILL RUIN YOUR READING EXPERIENCE, THEN DO NOT READ ON. I SUGGEST YOU READ THIS, THOUGH. I ALMOST DIED WHEN I READ IT.
As you can see, I'm flipping out. I just finished the newest book in The Power of Three, Long Shadows, two days ago. I have only one word that will fully describe what I thought...

Yep... There you have it. To all that are under the risk of heart attack or stroke... Here's the frightful truth...
1.) This one is mild. Jaypaw finally gets his name and is now Jayfeather.
2.) Sickness raided the ThunderClan camp and Firestar lost a life!
3.) Jaypaw/feather had a dream that took him to when the ancient cats inhabited the lake. It turns out that they were the ancestors of The Tribe of Rushing Water. Also, it turns out that the three were reincarnated from the ancients. [You'll have to read the book to understand what the heck I'm talking about.]
4.) This is to anyone that read the Ashfur post by Blackie... I am sorry to say this...but...
ASHFUR IS CRAZY AND EVIL!
I couldn't beieve it! He did try to kill Firestar! And then later on in the book he attempted to kill Lionpaw/blaze, Hollypaw/leaf, and Jaypaw/feather! I couldn't believe it!
5.) The three aren't really Squirrelflight's and Brambleclaw's children! Squirrelflight--the cat we know and love--told Ashfur this so that he wouldn't kill her adopted children. zOMG!
6.) Then Ashfur threatened to tell everyone at the Gathering her secret and run her out of the Clan along with the three! But right before the Gathering Squirrelflight came into camp all wet and dirty and claimed she fell in the ShadowClan border creek collecting herbs for Leafpool. As they were heading out, though, they found ASHFUR'S body in the WindClan border creek! Though the book never said so, Squirrelflight killed Ashfur! Also, Erin Hunter has not revealed who the three's parents are... But I know who!

Everyone remembers that prophecy, right? Well, who is Firestar father of? Squirrelflight... And guess who else? She's the medicine cat of ThunderClan...
LEAFPOOL!

And who is she in love with, again?
CROWFEATHER!!!

YESSSS! I had to steal LS from my brother, who foolishly thought he could read it before me. Bwahahahaha! But anyways, discussion: 1) I knew that was coming, but after his little OOBE I was really hoping for Jaywing... You gotta admit, it would have been funny just to see his face. Leafpool: I give you your medicine cat name. You will be called... Jaypaw: Don't call me Jaywing...Leafpool: ...Jaywing. Jaypaw: AAAUUUGGH! NOOOOOO! Medicine Cats: o.O 2) Fun fun. How many's he got now? 3) I thought that was way awesome! I wonder if the other two will... nah. 4)  I figured that from the last of Sunset, but I was so hoping it wasn't true. Ashfur's my main man (cat) and...well...I feel betrayed. *sniffle* Ashfur: *is evil* Me: No. That's impossible. Nooooooo! It's not true!!! 5) ikr?!?!? I kind of figured that one of them wasn't hers, but all three? And they're not Bramble's either? OMG!! Okay, calm, calm. 6) I was thinking more like Lionblaze killed Ashfur. He's more of the 'let's-go-kill-something' attitude than the rest. But what you say makes sense. The three are acting all emo because they think they're not the prophesied ones now, but everyone is majorly overlooking Leafpool. Why? Because she's medicine cat. Wake up, people (cats)! Anything is possible! |

I am awestruck at the moments and plots of LS. The whole Jawpaw being Jay's Wing was a very new turn of events. I WAS LIKE HOLY @#$% WHEN I HEARD THAT SQUIRRELFLIGHT WASNT THE MOTHER OF THE THREE. but I knew that since, they had to be the THREE...Leafpool and Crowfeather got together and had them. Then squirrelflight took over the kits so that Leafpool could keep her duty of medicine cat. [/center] [/color]

I was so surprised when I found out Squirrelflight wasn't the mother of the three, but afterward it made perfect sense.
In regards to Ashfur: I still love him and Squirrelflight. I wish he hadn't died the way he did, and I wish his life could have taken a better turn, but you guys are right. Ashfur wasn't a good cat any more.
In regards to the ancients: I LOVE HALF MOON!!!!!!!!
There is no cat more perfect for Jayfeather than Half Moon! I hope he gets to see her again and tell her he's sorry.
In regards to Crowfeather: ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait till he finds out!
I finished LS last week, but I'm still geeking out about it. It's definatley my favorite ;D [/size] |

Amen. Long Shadows in indeed the best of the Warriors ever. I told all of my Warrior reading friends about it and my friends Diana and Abby were screaming in the cafeteria and everyone turned around and stared because they were making too much noise...

Technically, I'm sure Squirrel has lost her virginity to Bramble. So.
Fire is related to Squirrel. Who is related to Bramble. Who is related to Tawny. Who gave birth to three kits. It's entirely possible that it's not Leaf's ( I always knew they were her's and Crows ) kits who are the three. It's extremely unlikely, but lots of things are.
There is the small possibility that it's referring to Tigerpaw, Flamepaw, and Dawnpaw.

But Brambleclaw isn't really related to Firestar. He's... married...into the family. The logic doesn't work. Now if the prophecy was telling Tigerstar this, then it would make sense. Or if the prophecy went like this:
"There will be three...

Then we would wonder if it were Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, and Jayfeather or Dawnpaw, Tigerpaw, and Flamepaw. I must say I don't agree with that. [/size][/center] |

I'm pretty sure that it is not Flamepaw, Dawnpaw, and Tigerpaw. Brambleclaw isn't related to Firestar (AAAAH OMG I WOULD SOOOO DIE IF THAT WAS TRUE I HATE BRAMBLE TO THE END OF THE EARTH -pffft-), it's just that the kits are related to Bramble. If Squirrel never had kits, just pretended to, then really Brmble is related to Fire in no way whatsoever. (ha, just realized that Tigerstar must be pissed that bramble loves Firestars daughter xP) So thereore, Tawny is in no way related to Fire, so it couldn't be Flame, Dawn, & Tiger.
But on the other hand, the prophecy could have a different meaning. It could be talking about Jay, Lion, and Holly as the kin, then their kin would be Flame, Dawn & Tiger. So there it is possible that they are the ones. But I doubt it. I mean, what would the fun in having your POVs watch the prophecy go by without them?
So I'm convinced they're Leafpool's. That would explain why she's so affectionate with Jayfeather.
