So i've loooking for some new teen dramas. I read the "ttyl, fftf, and l8g8" series and loved 'em, but now I want some new teen dramas-- it can be real life or "fairytale-ish".No Twlight. I'm not reading them. No Harry Potter. Not reading those overtalked about stories. I'm not into anything with wizards, worlocks, witches, vampires... etc.
I don't mind "fairies" and stuff. Ideas?
I'm so bored at my house, and just want to see what you guys reccommend.
Thanks!

I swear I have read every book on the face of the earth, but unfortunately I like all that other stuff. Here are a few books that I absolutely love:
All books by Tamora Pierce. She writes well and though there is magic involved, its usually not central. Most of her books revolve around mideval times, so swords, knights, that kind of stuff. 300-600 pgs.
The Books of Pellinor by Alison Croggon. There is magic in her books, but it is more a siries of self realization through trials and hardships. MY FAVORITE SEIRIES EVER!!!300-400 pgs
The Bloody Jack books by L.A.Meyer. One word. Amazing. No magic or that stuff. Takes place in the 1800's and the main character goes everywhere from England to The U.S.A., the Caribbean, France, etc. Often she is on the ocean. Historical Fiction. 300-600 pgs
The Tamir trilogy by Lynn Flewelling. Another mideval trilogy, about a girl who is disguised as a boy so she won't be killed. She(He) doesn't realize this until the second book. More knights and wars.... Third book is when she is a woman and goes through trials of love and such. 500 pags each
Books by David Clemente. I have only read The Sight and Fell, and Fire Bringer, but they are all wonderful. They are in the eyes of animals the first two listed in wolves and the last listed through the eyes of a deer. Slight magical reference. Inishgts to how the author sees the insticts of animals in relation to humans. 300-600 pgs each.
There are some. I could be typing for the next three hours. These are only books I have read in the past year. xD

I'm not into those kinds of books, sorry. But I have one or two ideas that I liked a lot that were about cats :3.
1.) Tailchaser's Song It's very interesting and kind of reminds me of the Warriors series. But it's one book and at a much higher reading level than Erin Hunter's style of writing.
2.) Any book by Stephen King! Okay, I'm a fan of America's best horror writer. I've recently read "Cell", which I would recommed for most people. It was so good that after I read it I barely use my cell phone anymore.
Not much. I might think of more ideas later.

Hmmness...I love vampire books and such....Twilight was good -nodd-
But anywho....here is a list of books I liked or loved:
Saving Faith: David Baldacci Good book if you like FBI/Action/Love stories. It is fast paced in some parts but overall is intriguing.
Velocity: Dean Koontz Gosh....a.m.a.z.i.n.g. Very, very, very creepy in some parts....especially near the end -is disturbed- but it is a very good book with lots of action, mystery and murder.
Phantoms: Deam R. Koontz SCARRY! One you won't read without someone else in the house and a light on. However it was brilliant. Scarry, but brilliant. -hugs-
Simple Genius: David Baldacci Fantastic, my first David Baldacci book, I recommend it. The two characters in this story are continued from two other books but it is still brilliant. You don't need to read Hour Game or Split Second to like the book. It has strange coincidences, as well as mind boggling characters.
I'd tell you I love you, but then I'd have to kill you & Cross my heart and hope to spy: Ally Carter You don't have to like spies to like these two books. It is a school drama story mixed with love and discovery, quite funny.
The Named Series: Clare Bell Unique... These books are about prehistoric cats and their clan. Very interesting....
The Alex Rider Series: Anthony Horowitz Yet another spy book series.....but still, very good. Teenager agent, interesting. If you like James Bond then you would like this series.
ALL Dan Brown books The Da Vinci Code, Deception Point....and so on. All brilliant books written by a brilliant man.
OTHER AKA Vamps and such. lol
City of Bones & City of Ashes: Cassandra Clare Faries, Vampires, Werewolves, Shadowhunters, all mythical creatures. Quite interesting.
Vampire Academy: Richelle Mead Ya I know vampires, -mumble- xD. Okay I like this book simply because it is interesting as well as because it is based in meh state, Montana! lol. Interesting book series though.
House of Night Series: PC Cast & Kristian Cast Interesting, vampires again, but this one is a vampire school.

lol I've been looking for new books too, and I don't read vampire stories either.
Some of my favorites:
Artemis Fowl series These are definately for younger readers, but I like them a lot. Arty!!!! -pats the odd-eyed and annoying super-genius on his raven-hair head-
Richard Adams novels Watership Down, Plague Dogs, and Traveller are classics, but every one should read them! Their wonderful stories. Plague Dogs is about two runaway dogs who were used for laboratory experiments (awesome) and Traveller is the Civil War from the view of General Lee's famous horse (very informative and fun).
Inheritance Cycle If you haven't read these, you should. Eldest ticks me off, but Brisingr will make you excited again.
The Oath and House These are thrillers by Frank Peretti. If you don't get scared, then your not thinking about what your reading. Trust me. I wasn't scared of Oath until I finished it. Then I realized, it's real.
Who wrote Tailchaser's Song? It looks interesting.
