{{ WHO SAYS YOU CAN GIVE IN }}{{ TO THE CORRUPTION AROUND YOU }} Life was quieting into paralyzing silence, like the moonless dark. All among this silence and stillness, there was something unnatural. An anomaly. Perforating the fabric of the peaceful by and by. It's green eyes glinted like malignant beacons, yet it wasn't calignous. It was pure and intelligent and naive. Rolling through the darkness, not giving in to the corruption around it. Sorrow lasting through the night as it spread a happiness, though it was only spreading in its heart and soul and being. A cheerful swagger was in the tom's step as he ambled through the undergrowth, not really hunting or patrolling, just enjoying the quiet peacefulness of life and reality and poetry. A beautiful poem was resting on his tongue, weaving itself into existence only with the work of imagination and thought and idea. How could such an intangible thing be so powerful? So powerful it actually caused tangibility? It--like the perforation of stillness--was an anomaly. But it reached out, reaching out to the minds of others. Stuck in its own barrier. What would it take to break down that barrier?

BROWNSTAR
The love for youngsters had always been a part of Brownstar's life. Although she had never had kits, she had trained several apprentices, one being Sprinkestorm, the last Deputy of ThunderClan, and another being Copperclaw, her adopted son after the death of her best friend and his mother, Greyheart. Brownstar loved the apprentices of the Clan-- their wild ideas and bright, shining eyes inspired her every day to move on forward after her accident. They were bouncy and youthful, just everything she wanted for ThunderClan. Brownstar could never imagine that one of them, one of these fine apprentices would some day be a leader, and if not them, one of their kits. The circle of life continued.
"Hello there, young one? Enjoying the view of the ThunderClan warriors. You'll be one soon," she said smiling, letting her eyes gaze upon the apprentice sitting in front of her own warm, brown body. Today was a calm, clear day. The sky was blue, a light crisp blue that was so dependable, you just felt as though it was never going to rain again. The sky was almost cloudless, except for a few white, fluffy specks that were floating around, hoping not to be noticed by the big sun in the sky. Brownstar just loved, fresh beautiful days. Besides the apprentices, the weather inspired her to live and feel wonderful. The air was just amazing.

{{ I'LL TAKE THIS PIECE OF YOU }}{{ AND HOLD FOR ALL ETERNITY }} Pumpkinpaw stopped for a second when a scent came to him on the light breeze; it was Brownstar. Trying to look as naive and apprentice-like as possible, the orange tom sat down and started grooming his dish-like paws, his sandpaper tongue rasping quietly. "Hello there, young one? Enjoying the view of the ThunderClan warriors. You'll be one soon."
Pumpkinpaw looked up with his big, round green eyes alight with an odd emotion. Of all things he didn't want to be, being a warrior was on his black list. The life as a warrior, fighting and killing others, did not appeal to the young tom one bit. He wanted to be a poet, a scholar if you want to call him that. Pumpkinpaw wanted to appeal others, not create rifts and conflicts. He wanted to solve them, to explore the minds of others and create solutions to their needs. Brownstar's words made him feel like Clan life was too simple, too vague. That it was so scheduled and obvious that he felt like there might be something better other than this life. There were so many different lands, different cultures and lives... That it made him question the authority that Brownstar had. "Morning, Brownstar. And how might you be on this fine, beautiful day? I was actually just planning on taking a stroll and catch some sustenance for the Clan. Care to join me?" The tom didn't even bother to answer the ThunderClan leader's questions. He didn't because he knew what she would think of his quite rude answers: mortified. If not enraged. But he didn't really care. All he wanted was to have these ignorant cats live in harmony with humans. To break down the walls that had been built over time.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

BROWNSTAR
Shocked at the young cat's response, Brownstar only stared at her for awhile, confused with the answer, but decided not to push the matter. She knew the apprentice had avoided the question, and the matter confused her. When she was an apprentice, her dream was to serve he Clan and be the best she could be for her leader, Brightstar. Brownstar's dreams had always been first on her priority, ever since a young kit, she wanted to be a warrior, she wanted to be influential on the Clans-- a remembered cats like the cats of old... and that she was. She was the oldest of all four current leaders. How times had changed.
"Morning, Brownstar. And how might you be on this fine, beautiful day? I was actually just planning on taking a stroll and catch some sustenance for the Clan. Care to join me?" " Well, yes... I actually think I would love a good walk. This morning has been surprisingly relaxing, a very calm day oddly... we have been so busy recently with rebuilding some sections of camp and of course, the usual border patrol and hunting... A warrior said she may have smelled a badger, the scent was so stale it didn't look like a problem... my oh my.. those badgers can be so pesky. " She smiled for a moment, pausing and glancing at Pumpkinpaw. I must be boring this poor apprentice, she thought to herself, still keeping the same, mellow smile on her face. The weather had improved greatly and a strong wind was hitting her back, making a rift in her fur, much to her enjoyment. Brownstar just loved the cool, crisp, outside weather of the forest. She loved the trees and their scents... the ground being beneath her padding feat. [/blockquote]

Pumpkinpaw tried his best not to yawn as Brownstar's wise voice droned on. Soon, her ramblings became just that and he tuned her out momentarily, sifting through the many ideas he had in his mind. First, he would lure Brownstar out of the camp and tell her of what they and humans could do! Second, he would then follow through with his plan, along with the help of some insistent, eager apprentices who decided to join his ranks. Pumpkinpaw had no intention of ruling--oh no--but he wanted to get his ideas out there among others, and to do that, he had to have some kind of grip on the situation. Much like a bar of soap. If you couldn't find a way to grasp it, it just slithered right between your fingers. With a slight sense of boredom, Pumpkinpaw mewed. "So--Let us take a walk, then. It's a lovely day and the forest seems quite peaceful." The tom tried to keep his dark emerald eyes calm as excitement crawled under his pelt. He couldn't wait to tell Brownstar his plans, his megalomanias. What would she think?[/blockquote][/blockquote]
