WindClan Apprentice
.i feel like i'm all alone. .all by myself i need to get around this. .my words are cold. .i don't want them to hurt you. .if i show you i don't think you'd understand. .cause no one understands.
The cool, crisp night air fuffled a beautiful she-cat's silver fur. It glimmered amazingly in the starlight. Large, emerald eyes blinked and blowed as the wind buffeted the WindClan cat's fur. She lay huddled in a dip on one of the boulders that formed ThunderClan's precious Sunningrocks. In her opinion, Sunningrocks should have belonged to all of the Clans. It wasn't fair. It was the neatest place around. It kept you warm after a sunny day because the smooth, gray rocks absorbed the heat and then melted back into you on such a cold night as this. She was waiting on enemy territory because she loved the enemy. Hummingbirdpaw sighed, her breath white steam in front of her muzzle. She loved Farsight. She loved her sister, Autumnbreeze. She had all she could ask for. Except being together truly with her love... Again, she sighed sadly. Sometimes the warrior code was ridiculous. Don't do this and don't do that! But what about love? There could be exceptions, couldn't there? Obviously not. But the two lovers could meet in secret until they came up with a solution. Clan matters could wait. But not Autumnbreeze. She left because she had a terrible secret that parted the two sisters. It was just the other day when they found Autumnbreeze. Hummingbirdpaw begged her sister to come home with her, but her long lost sister refused and told her to meet her on the edge of WindClan within two days. Tomorrow. The pretty she-cat shook her head, trying to wipe away all of the hornet thoughts that were stinging her brain crazy. Maybe a song would help? She took a huge breath of air, testing to see if her lungs could take the cold night air. "Who will save the war child baby? Who controls the key? The web we weave is thick and sordid, Fine by me." She finished the verse. Already, the song made her feel better and cheery in the dark. Yes, she should sing. Maybe it would bring Farsight to her. That was the sole reason she came. Again, she took another breath and kept singing, her voice weaving a song of heart and war and love. It was beautiful and it brought the night animals out of their burrows and out of the branches to hear the song sung by a she-cat in love. "At times of war we're all the losers, There's no victory. We shoot to kill and kill your lover, Fine by me. War child, victim of political pride. Plant the seed, territorial greed. Mind the war child, We should mind the war child. I spent last winter in New York, And came upon a man. He was sleeping on the streets and homeless, He said, 'I fought in Vietnam.' Beneath his shirt he wore the mark, He bore the mark with pride. A two inch deep incision carved, Into his side. War child, victim of political pride. Plant the seed, territorial greed. Mind the war child, We should mind the war child. Who's the loser now? Who's the loser now? We're all the losers now. We're all the losers now. War child..." she whispered. "We should mind the war child..."

.all the pain i thought i knew. .all the thoughts lead back to you. .back to what was never said. .back and forth inside my head. .i can't handle this confusion. .i'm unable, come and take me away.

She said let's change our luck This night is all we've got Drive fast until we crash This dead end life Sweet dreams that won't come true I'd leave it all for you Brick walls are closing in Let's make a run tonight
Blinded by the lights Hold you through forever Won't let you go
His life had changed completely in one day. From the time he had left Fourtrees and beyond the very moment he left camp, Hummingbirdpaw was stuck in his mind. He loved her. Love... How could something so beautiful be so... forbidden? Farsight had believed that Warrior Code was always right, but that was long before he met Hummingbirdpaw. Now it was just cruel. Ever since he had left Fourtrees, thoughts of what would become of their love swarmed in Farsight's mind. Would they forever meet in secret? Would one leave their Clan to join the other? A barely audible sigh escaped the tabby tom's lips, his amber eyes gazing toward the sky as if in search of an answer. Yet he knew that any answer he wanted would not come from StarClan. This was all on him, and Hummingbirdpaw.
Memories of the apprentice Sleeppaw flooded into Farsight's mind. He remembered how he had thought the apprentice had been selfish when he left to be with a WindClan apprentice. Now, Farsight was practically in the same situation. Now he knew how hard it must've been for Sleeppaw. If it came down to it, Farsight would leave. He'd do anything for Hummingbirdpaw, not matter what it was. "Who will save the war child baby? Who controls the key? The web we weave is thick and sordid, fine by me." Farsight's ears pricked, listening as the cat singing the tune continued on through the sound. The voice was angelic, the melody being carried away on the wind. Ears remaining pricked, Farsight followed the voice.
He felt only a little bit of shock as he found the source of the voice. Hummingbirdpaw lay atop one of the rocks, her silver and tan fur glistening beautifully in the cascading starlight. Farsight smiled, stepping out of the bushes and mewing to alert the femme of his presence. Farsight walked towards her, laying down beside her so their pelts touched. He smiled at her, still slightly surprised by the sound of her singing voice. "That was beautiful, amazing," he murmured. "You've been on my mind since we parted yesterday." Cause if you jump I will jump too We will fall together From the building's ledge Never looking back at what we've done We'll say it was love Cause I would die for you On skyway avenue(Lyrics from Skyway Avenue by We the Kings)[/blockquote]

.i feel like i'm all alone. .all by myself i need to get around this. .my words are cold. .i don't want them to hurt you. .if i show you i don't think you'd understand. .cause no one understands.
Hummingbirdpaw finished the song and looked around her. Small, glowing eyes of many colors blinked back at her. With a sigh, all of them broke free of the spell and scurried away to nestle in their dens. They can love without rules, she thought sadly. She tilted her small, angelic face to peer at the stars that pivoted above her head. The stars glittered coldly, maliciously, down upon her. StarClan's turned against me, she thought to herself nonchalantly. Hummingbirdpaw shrugged, though. She had Farsight and Autumnbreeze and life. That was as good as it will ever get. Love. Family. Life. Sounded about right. A cheerful, welcoming meow that could be no other's than Farsight's alerted the silver WindClan apprentice. Her ears pricked and she whipped her head around. Though she knew that there were no secrets between them, her face grew hot and she nodded at him with a sheepish smile on her face. Did he hear my awful singing? His strong form pressed up against her and she pressed herself closer to him. His scent wreathed her and she took it all in. It reminded her of ginger, cinnamon, lilac, and roses. How could such a being be so perfect? "That was beautiful, amazing. You've been on my mind since we parted yesterday." She murmured a nervous thanks and pushed her nose into his warm shoulder. Though she had enjoyed sitting on Sunningrocks, the warmth of her love next to her made her heart soar. A blissful sigh escaped her lips and she licked his ear. "And I you, Farsight... But there have been other things clouding my mind..." she whispered. Afraid to break the stillness of the night. "First, Autumnbreeze. What secret could have pushed her so far as to leave WindClan? Second..." she lingered on what she was about to say. "What about us, Farsight? What will become of us if someone were to find out? Will we end up like Sleeppaw? Like Eclipsepaw? Like my sister? Oh, Farsight... I love you. But I don't know... Are you ready to give up your family? Your Clan?"
.all the pain i thought i knew. .all the thoughts lead back to you. .back to what was never said. .back and forth inside my head. .i can't handle this confusion. .i'm unable, come and take me away.

Farsight felt his whiskers twitch with amusement at Hummingbirdpaw's shyness. He never thought he'd see the day when Hummingbirdpaw was embarresed. It was quite humorous. Hummingbirdpaw's words sounded in Farsight's ears, causing a small frown to form on his face. What could be bothering her? Was it Autumnbreeze? The thought wasn't surprising. Truly, Autumnbreeze was on Farsight's mind as well. Why had she left WindClan, and Hummingbirdpaw? All he knew was that Autumnbreeze knew something, something that could hurt Hummingbirdpaw. Farsight wrapped his tail around Hummingbirdpaw, almost protectively. Whatever endangered the two siblings, Farsight would stop it. Hummingbirdpaw's words continued to flow like a gentle melody into Farsight's ears.
"Oh, Farsight... I love you. But I don't know... Are you ready to give up your family? Your Clan?"The tabby tom's amber eyes fell, turning to gaze at his paws. A soft, yet slightly frustrated sigh escaped his lips. He wasn't frustrated with Hummingbirdpaw. Farsight was frustrated with himself. The decision shouldn't have been difficult for him. Was he really ready to leave everything? His mother, father? What about Beartail, his only brother? Farsight didn't have many friends in the Clan, yet he'd miss everyone. He'd even miss Blackpaw, no matter how often she'd get on his nerves. Farsight knew for a fact that he'd never be able to leave Clan life. He'd miss having cats all around him, going on patrol, the chance to become a mentor... He locked his amber eyes with Hummingbirdpaw's green ones. If it came down to it, he'd go to WindClan. "I'd do anything for you, Hummingbirdpaw. I love you more then life itself, and not being with you every day is torture enough. If it comes down to it, I will leave my Clan for you. I'd go to WindClan with you, if you'd feel more comfortable with that. Whatever you want." Cause if you jump I will jump too We will fall together From the building's ledge Never looking back at what we've done We'll say it was love Cause I would die for you On skyway avenue

Farsight's frustrated sigh broke Hummingbirdpaw's hornet thoughts and she look down at him. Though he was pressed up against her and she knew he loved her, his gaze was directed at his paws and the silver she-cat felt sadness choke her. It slithered down her throat and clutched at her chest with icy tendrils. A hot ball of fire lodged itself in her lungs and she too turned away so that Farsight couldn't see the tears leaking out of the corners of her eyes. I'm too selfish to leave WindClan, she thought. I want Autumnbreeze, Farsight, and WindClan. She shook her head. Thoughts were getting on her nerves lately. "I'd do anything for you, Hummingbirdpaw. I love you more then life itself, and not being with you every day is torture enough. If it comes down to it, I will leave my Clan for you. I'd go to WindClan with you, if you'd feel more comfortable with that. Whatever you want." She didn't know why, but his words made her feel worse. She was asking him to leave his family behind. Would she leave Autumnbreeze behind? Her home? Her parents' graves? She swallowed back her tears and the sobs. "Farsight... I don't want you to do that. I love you more than life, also. But maybe we..." Could she bring herself to say it? She didn't believe it. And neither would Farsight. Would he? Would he take it to heart and make it easier and hate her and leave? Without another word? It would make it easier. But it would also make it unbearable. "Maybe we... Maybe we could run away. Maybe join up with Sleeppaw and Eclipsepaw. I could come to ThunderClan with you. I'm not going to ask of you to come to WindClan. You have family here. They would be dishonored. Or..." she paused. "Maybe forget about each other and... Stay where we truly belong."

I don't want this moment To ever end Where everything's nothing Without you I'll wait here forever just to To see you smile 'Cause it's true I am nothing Without you
Hummingbirdpaw's last words stung deeply. They tore through Farsight's heart like claws, making his face fall and ears flatten at the same time. His eyes closed for a moment, trying to shut everything out. Could Hummingbirdpaw have really meant it? That they just... forget each other? Farsight's eyes opened once, sneaking a glance at the beautiful silver and tan she-cat beside him. It wasn't possible to forget about her. She was everything, everything perfect for Farsight. And he hoped he was perfect for her. His amber eyes again moved to his paws. Fierce determination shone in their depths. He didn't want to lose Hummingbirdpaw. Yet here he was, listening to her saying that they needed to forget each other. Farsight unsheathed his claws, digging them into the earth with frustration to hold back his angry temper. It wasn't working.
Farsight let out a soft hiss. "What are you saying? Are you saying that we should just stop seeing each other all together? Throw everything away? I don't think I could do that, and I honestly don't think you could either! We can make it work, Hummingbirdpaw. We can run away, I could go to WindClan. You could come here, to ThunderClan if you wanted! But don't say we should stop seeing each other. Don't say we should forget, because I know that I'll never forget." Farsight slowly sheathed his claws again, his amber eyes wincing with the silent pain Hummingbirdpaw had put him through. Wincing at how harsh his words had sounded. He sighed.
I want you to know With everything I won't let this go These words are my heart and soul I'll hold onto this moment you know 'Cause I'd bleed my heart out to show That I won't let go

So, when did he plan to take me patrolling? A thousand moons from now?
Severedclaw was Blackpaw's life.
He's much too busy for me, though, isn't he? No time to take me training, but plenty of time for her!
Her tail lashed. Severedclaw was her friend and family, the only cat that had let her rely on him. And she wasn't willing to share him. Not even if they were the love of Severedclaw's life.
I'll tear up Ivypaw the next time she keeps Severedclaw from training me. Who does she think she is, anyway? Severedclaw is my mentor! Why can't she go bother her own?
Eyes slitted to thin gold strips, the little black apprentice stomped closer to Sunningrocks. Since Severedclaw wasn't there, he wouldn't mind if she took a break, right? What he didn't know wouldn't hurt him?
Growling, Blackpaw started to climb up the rocks. "My Sunninrocks." she mumbled. Why? Who cared? But they were all hers now. "You hear me, you RiverClan fish-eaters! My Sunningrocks! Dare you to take them from me!" her voice carried out, frightening many birds into flight. Bursting with energy, the little cat ran up the rest of the way. She jumped onto the top, standing straight up with her head raised and her chest puffed out. For a moment, a glance of the warrior she would become shone out of her. The defiant glare bored into RiverClan's territory, the chin raised. Her ears were lain back in challenge and her tail swayed in rythum with her beating heart. Small but strong legs stood stiffly, but she still had a sense of dignity. Mabye it was just the dark pelt, but in the flash of vision she looked elegant.
Then the warrior senses actually started to kick in. Her ears pricked with surprise at a smell she new. Farsight? What was he doing out here? Eyes bright with curiosity, Blackpaw looked around for her Clanmate. But when she spotted him . . .
He was very close up to a strange cat. His tail was twitching and he was speaking harshly to her. An enemy! "Don't worry, Farsight! I'm coming!"

.i feel like i'm all alone. .all by myself i need to get around this. .my words are cold. .i don't want them to hurt you. .if i show you i don't think you'd understand. .cause no one understands.
The silver she-cat flinched when Farsight's gleaming claws scraped against the stone with a sharp, grating noise. It hurt her to put pain on Farsight. Her love. Her life. But it was best for them, no matter what they thought. It would eventually turn out to be a blood feud. Much like the war chid baby... "What are you saying? Are you saying that we should just stop seeing each other all together? Throw everything away? I don't think I could do that, and I honestly don't think you could either!" She flinched a mere inch away from him and looked down and away. She didn't want to admit it. But she would scarcly be able to live without him, either. Why did love heal? But why did it hurt, also? It crippled. It mended. It... Destroyed. "We can make it work, Hummingbirdpaw. We can run away, I could go to WindClan. You could come here, to ThunderClan if you wanted! But don't say we should stop seeing each other. Don't say we should forget, because I know that I'll never forget." Hummingbirdpaw got up and looked back at him. "Farsight, your home is here. ThunderClan. My home and what's left of my family is in WindClan and scattered." she shook her head. "Run away? It seems so...painful." She turned back to him, tears in her emerald eyes. The stars glared down upon them, illuminating the scene like the Christmas advent. Tears and stars mixed and mingled. "I won't be able to forget you, Farsight. So until we make a choice, I'll forever be with you and parted from you. As long as we stay in different Clans..." "Don't worry, Farsight! I'm coming!" Her eyes widened and she turned around to see a little black apprentice darting towards her. Oh, sh-- Her thoughts were cut off when she realized how much trouble Farsight will get into. Especially if this munchkin of an apprentice raised the alarm. Was she alone? Or on patrol? "Sssh!" hissed Hummingbirdpaw. "Stay quiet! I'm not an enemy." She exchanged a look with Farsight. Will she keep her yap shut?
.all the pain i thought i knew. .all the thoughts lead back to you. .back to what was never said. .back and forth inside my head. .i can't handle this confusion. .i'm unable, come and take me away.

Farsight ThunderClan Warrior I feel alive beside you and all at once I am whole again. We fall into each other Your atmosphere is all I'm breathing in and in this rush we are crushed.
Farsight cursed himself mentally as Hummingbirdpaw moved away from him, then stood up as she continued speaking. One look at her emerald eyes, normally bright and happy but now tear-filled, made him want to die on the spot. He had never wanted to hurt her. Farsight got to his paws as well, yet he remained where he had once been laying. He wanted to comfort her, to pull her close and never let go. Yet something held him back. He felt a prickling on the back of his neck, suddenly feeling like they weren't alone. As if on que, a loud yowling sounded in his ear. The tabby tom flinched, for he'd know that voice anywhere. Blackpaw... Farsight watched as Blackpaw sped toward them, preparing to "protect" him. Farsight hissed a warning to Blackpaw, yet Hummingbirdpaw was the one who spoke.
Farsight resisted the urge to glare at Blackpaw. He really, really wasn't in the mood for her right now. When she pieced it all together, she'd never let him hear the end of it. She'd tell Flightfall, or worse, Brownstar about it. She'd try and talk him out of it. Farsight had the whole scenario figured out. The tabby tom nodded at Hummingbirdpaw's words toward Blackpaw, signalling their truth. "Blackpaw, calm down. And keep quiet! She isn't an enemy, she's... well, don't worry about it right now, okay? Just don't start yowling again; you'll bring the whole forest here. Carry me down roll it in your arms 'cause I can't remember ever falling this hard Tell me tonight, all that we have been Was it nothin' more than a noise inside my head crashing down, crashing down, in your avalanche in your avalanche.

"Not an enemy? But . . . but she's not from ThunderClan!"
Confused, Blackpaw looked from Farsight to Hummingbirdpaw. The other apprentice was pretty and she looked nice enough, but who was she? Blackpaw looked at Farsight again, looked away again, then looked sharply back. Had he hissed at her? What was his problem? The little cat's golden eyes narrowed to fierce slits. So that's how it went, huh? Once a cat's a warrior, he can't be friendly with his fellow apprentices anymore. She lashed her tail and flexed her claws, mustering up some self-control to keep herself from leaping on the warrior.
"You don't want me to yowl? Trust me, Farsight, I'll keep quiet. But only until she leaves." Blackpaw indicated Hummingbirdpaw with a sweep of her tail. She was so mad, she had even forgotten to check which Clan the newcomer was from. "Once this whoever-she-is is out of here, I'm going to scream 'till your deaf. I'm going to tear you to shreds. I'm gonna batter you up so bad, then I'm gonna drag you to camp and throw you onto the fresh-kill pile. And then," she paused to decide what happened after the then. "Then I'm gonna get the other apprentices and we're gonna throw peices of you all around camp!"
By now Blackpaw was standing on her toes, every hair on her pelt fluffed up. She was angry, but more than that she was hurt. The pain glistened in her eyes.
"I thaught we could still be friends after you became a warrior, but if you don't want to then . . . then, fine!" she held back the whimper and whirled around to scamper back to camp.

Farsight ThunderClan Warrior I feel alive beside you and all at once I am whole again. We fall into each other Your atmosphere is all I'm breathing in and in this rush we are crushed.
Farsight glared down at Blackpaw as she continued with her speech, feeling his annoyance grow but still controlling himself. By now, after all the moons of training and being denmates with Blackpaw, he was used to her temper. Even through all their arguments, Farsight had always considered the young black she-cat to be his friend. When she wasn't hissing at him or yowling at him, she was usually fun to be around. Farsight looked down at Blackpaw, suddenly noticing the pain in her eyes. The tabby tom suddenly felt confused. What had he done wrong? Just as he opened his mouth to speak, Blackpaw's words sounded in his ears. Sudden realization made Farsight regret what he had said. Again he opened his mouth, hoping to get a quick apology in, but Blackpaw had scurried off.
Farsight started to run after her, then he remembered Hummingbirdpaw and turned to look at her with apologetic eyes. "I need to go after her, she's really upset. I'll be right back." Farsight nuzzled Hummingbirdpaw before he started running after Blackpaw. He called, "Blackpaw! Blackpaw get back here! You've got it all wrong. Let me apologize." Carry me down roll it in your arms 'cause I can't remember ever falling this hard Tell me tonight, all that we have been Was it nothin' more than a noise inside my head crashing down, crashing down, in your avalanche in your avalanche.

[shadow=silver,left,200]ĦŮmmĨйĝßïrDÞÄŴ[/shadow] WindClan Apprentice .i feel like i'm all alone. .all by myself i need to get around this. .my words are cold. .i don't want them to hurt you. .if i show you i don't think you'd understand. .cause no one understands."Not an enemy? But . . . but she's not from ThunderClan!" Hummingbirdpaw took a huge breath of air and held it for an extremely long time. The ThunderClan apprentice hadn't realized she was WindClan yet? That was odd... By the looks of it, I should be glad she can tell I'm a she... the silver and tan she-cat thought with amusement. But this wasn't a funny situation, she and Farsight's relationship could go down the drain if the black she-cat didn't cooperate. So Hummingbirdpaw shallowed her amusement and replaced it with an air of seriousness.
"You don't want me to yowl?" Oh, StarClan... Don't let this happen... thought Hummingbirdpaw."Trust me, Farsight, I'll keep quiet. But only until she leaves." Hummingbirdpaw tensed when the small cat's tail flicked in her direction. Maybe she could hold the apprentice down? After all, the black she-cat was not much smaller than her. The skirmish would be fair with no one getting hurt."Once this whoever-she-is is out of here, I'm going to scream 'till your deaf. I'm going to tear you to shreds. I'm gonna batter you up so bad, then I'm gonna drag you to camp and throw you onto the fresh-kill pile. And then... Then I'm gonna get the other apprentices and we're gonna throw peices of you all around camp!" The silver cat raised an eyebrow and studied Blackpaw with a look of amazement on her face. She had never heard so many words out of a cat's mouth in her life before. Dang... How could she do it? All in one breath?! Maybe she and Blackpaw could be friends? After all, it wouldn't hurt to befriend and ally someone in ThunderClan other than Farsight. She was broken out of her thoughts when the little she-cat took off into the forest. A pang of sympathy hit Hummingbirdpaw's heart and a frown tugged at the corners of her mouth. "I need to go after her, she's really upset. I'll be right back."Hummingbirdpaw nodded and returned the nuzzle. It hurt her to be away from Farsight for one second, but it was for Blackpaw. She didn't want the ThunderClan apprentice's feelings hurt anymore."Blackpaw! Blackpaw get back here! You've got it all wrong. Let me apologize."After a painful minute of standing atop the rock alone, Hummingbirdpaw shook her head and took off after the ThunderClan scents. .all the pain i thought i knew. .all the thoughts lead back to you. .back to what was never said. .back and forth inside my head. .i can't handle this confusion. .i'm unable, come and take me away.{{Lyrics from Take Me Away by Avril Lavigne}}

Blackpaw didn't want to stop. She didn't want Farsight to see how much she had hurt her. She knew she was small, and she was well aware she could be obnoxious, but she had never expected Farsight to treat her as if she were still a kit. When they were apprentices together, hadn't they climbed that stupid tree after dumb Firepaw? Well, okay, she climbed the tree after Firepaw, but Farsight had come up to save her when she got stuck. They had been friends then. But now he preferred cats outside of his Clan for his friends instead of his Clanmates. Just like Sleeppaw. Blackpaw gasped, turning to look over her shoulder.
With a squeal of pain, Blackpaw tripped and tumbled into a bush. Her paws stung, but she felt numb compared to what she was feeling now. Was Farsight in love with the strange she-cat like Sleeppaw had loved Eclipse? Would he runaway too? Was she the only cat standing in his way now? She swallowed hard, remembering the fight she had with Sleeppaw before he left. She had wanted him to stay in ThunderClan, but instead she only made him want to leave more. She let her temper get in the way then. But not this time.
Before Farsight reached her, Blackpaw picked herself up and settled into the dry forest leaves. She had to keep herself under control, that was the main thing now. Look sorry and pleading. Farsight's soft on the inside once you break past the shell, he could be convinced to stay. But what about her? She might already have a tight hold on him, like Eclipse had on Sleeppaw. Would Farsight be blind to his Clan because of this stranger?

Farsight ThunderClan Warrior I feel alive beside you and all at once I am whole again. We fall into each other Your atmosphere is all I'm breathing in and in this rush we are crushed.
Farsight raced after Blackpaw, determined to catch the young she-cat. Though he hadn't really admitted it before, Blackpaw was probably his best friend in ThunderClan. Well, other then Beartail of course, but Beartail was his brother. Farsight hadn't ever really had many friends in the Clan; his stubborn personality tended to drive other cats away. Yet Blackpaw was still the closest thing he had to a good friend in ThunderClan. If he ever did leave, he knew that she'd be one of the few cats he'd actually miss. It'd be her, Beartail, his mother Frostwing and his father, Aspenclaw. His parents were never around anymore though, so it'd just mainly be Blackpaw and Beartail. Farsight continued to run, wanting desperately to catch Blackpaw.
He found Blackpaw curled up in the leaves by the trees. His heart ached at the lingering pain in her eyes. He had never wanted to hurt her, though he wasn't sure how he did. Blackpaw had acted like this after Sleeppaw had left... Farsight remembered trying to comfort her after Sleeppaw ran off with Eclipsepaw. Did she know about him and Hummingbirdpaw, then? Farsight laid down in front of Blackpaw, offering a smile that he wasn't sure would be returned. "Hey," he mewed. "What's wrong? Did I say something? I was just warning you to be quiet... but I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. He waited. Farsight knew that there was something else wrong, but for now he'd wait for Blackpaw to tell him.
Carry me down roll it in your arms 'cause I can't remember ever falling this hard Tell me tonight, all that we have been Was it nothin' more than a noise inside my head crashing down, crashing down, in your avalanche in your avalanche.[/blockquote]

WindClan Apprentice.i feel like i'm all alone. .all by myself i need to get around this. .my words are cold. .i don't want them to hurt you. .if i show you i don't think you'd understand. .cause no one understands. "Hey... What's wrong? Did I say something? I was just warning you to be quiet... but I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings." Hummingbirdpaw was a silver bullet in the moonlight. Her green eyes were like two little flashlights as she looked up at the moon and back down at the path. The she-cat was born and raised in WindClan, but she was running her as if she knew where she was going. Maybe Hummingbirdpaw was supposed to be here all along. Should she come here with Farsight? For some reason, she had the feeling that she wouldn't be welcomed... In the slightest bit. After padding up next to her mate Hummingbird looked at Blackpaw. The little apprentice reminded her much of an owl, with large, wise, golden eyes that appeared to laugh at you. The silver WindClan cat smiled a heartfelt smile at Blackpaw. "I'm sorry if Farsight hurt your feelings. He can be a big meanie sometimes. When I first met him a few days ago, I ran into him and he looked like he got stung on the nose by a hornet. Ignore him. He means no harm." She giggled and shoved Farsight a little. "Actually, he's a big pushover baby!" The cat laughed and continued to harass Farsight and try to cheer up Blackpaw. .all the pain i thought i knew. .all the thoughts lead back to you. .back to what was never said. .back and forth inside my head. .i can't handle this confusion. .i'm unable, come and take me away.{{Lyrics from Take Me Away by Avril Lavigne}}

Confused by the young cat's cheery attitude, Blackpaw chose to ignore Farsight and give Hummingbirdpaw an uneasy glare. Blackpaw wasn't trying to be mean, but the emotions swimming inside her now and the fact that the silver cat was a stranger made it hard for Blackpaw to be exactly friendly. Still glaring fiercely, the little cat turned her head to look directly at her Clanmate. She didn't try to adopt the pitiful look that took her. The anger broke and shattered, all Blackpaw felt was lonely sadness. And mixed loyalty. Her first duty was to her Clan,but did that mean she would have to confront her friend? Even if it meant chasing him out of ThunderClan because of the silver cat who gently teased him now? She hoped not, but she had the feeling she would have to just that if she wanted to do her Clan duty.
"It's nothing you said, Farsight." Blackpaw finally mewed softly, ducking her head so the other cat's couldn't look her in the eye. "I just . . ." she shuddered and closed her eyes. "Let's still be friends, alright? I always want to be friends with you." Then, in an attempt to make Farsight happy with her, Blackpaw turned to the silver she-cat and managed to rasp, "Hi, I'm Blackpaw. What's your name?"

Farsight TC WARRIOR
Farsight rolled his eyes playfully at Hummingbirdpaw's words, returning her nudge in the same gentle manner. He was still distracted, though, as his eyes returned to Blackpaw. What had he said? Now that Farsight thought about it, Blackpaw seemed to get mad at him very easilly. Still, the two of them were friends. Farsight thought of Blackpaw as a sister at times; especially when the two of them bickered. He valued their friendship, probably more then Blackpaw knew. Farsight knew that, if he did eventually leave, Blackpaw would be one of the few cats he'd actually miss. Mainly it would be her and Farsight's brother, Beartail. If it weren't for them, Farsight would've felt free to leave at that moment.
Blackpaw's words jolted him back to reality. Farsight noticed his Clanmate duck her head, and suddenly felt a stab of concern. He nodded as Blackpaw said she still wanted to be friends, and he felt a smile pull at his lips. Of course we can still be friends, Blackpaw," he mewed. "We can always be friends." For a moment Farsight felt worried, realizing again that he might have to leave. For now, however, he wouldn't think about it. His eyes moved to Blackpaw as she introduced herself to Hummingbirdpaw, and again he smiled. It'd all work out eventually. It would have to.
((Sorry so short, I'm feeling a bit braindead))

WindClan ApprenticeI wanna break the mold. .wanna break the stereotype. .fist in the air. .im not going down with out a fight. .its my life. .and im not sitting on the sidelines watching it. .pass me by. .im leaving you my legacy.The small, pretty she-cat didn't know what to make of the glare that Blackpaw threw at her. All Hummingbirdpaw wanted to do was break through the barrier that had already been built between the WindClan apprentice and those that Farsight loved most. Everything that was contained in that one, uneasy look hurt Hummingbird so much that a small tear glittered in the corner of her eye. But she blinked, making it disappear into oblivion. She didn't want Blackpaw--no matter how much she wanted to befriend her--to see how much her anger hurt Hummingbirdpaw. Farsight's gentle, playful nudge made the silver cat glance at him and smile, washing away the worry that nawed at her consciousness. It will all end up okay... she thought. Everything will work out as long as Farsight is by my side. "It's nothing you said, Farsight. I just . . . Let's still be friends, alright? I always want to be friends with you... Hi, I'm Blackpaw. What's your name?" Hummingbirdpaw looked away from Farsight and stared at Blackpaw for a moment. She didn't know how to heal the wounds that would eventually be inflicted on the ThunderClan apprentice; for it really seemed that she and Farsight were close friends. She knew that inevitably, her mate will have to leave ThunderClan or bring Hummingbirdpaw away from WindClan. Was this the consequences of a forbidden love? The separations? The agony? She swallowed and smiled hesitantly at the small black she-cat. "The name's Hummingbirdpaw. It's nice to meet you, Blackpaw." .i gotta make my mark. .i gotta run it hard. .i want you to remember me. .im leaving my pawprints. .im leaving my pawprints. .im leaving my pawprints on you.

"Hummingbirdpaw? That's a nice name." and it was. Blackpaw looked the pretty apprentice up and down. No doubt Farsight had a wonderful reason to be meeting her. She shivered. But what reason could be good enough to give up his Clan loyalty? The shadowy apprentice was calm enough now that she could make out Hummingbirdpaw's Clan scent. WindClan!
"So, if you're friends with Farsight, why haven't I met you before now?" Not that Farsight told her everything about his personal life. Really, she just wanted answers, and she wanted them now. She didn't mind befriending Hummingbirdpaw, but she wanted the details.

That's a nice name." The small silver cat shrugged. She did like her name, it suited her. After all, she could barely sit still for two seconds. But Farsight's prescence soothed her, put a stop to her hyper personality. It felt odd to be so...calm. But it was a nice change. Also, she had the whole weird bird-tale...thing. Why did she have a bird tail? Even Hummingbirdpaw didn't even know. "So, if you're friends with Farsight, why haven't I met you before now?"
Why did that have to come up? But if Farsight trusted Blackpaw, then Hummingbirdpaw had to trust her, too. The WindClan she-cat threw a look at her mate and then looked back at the black apprentice. She was still sitting under the bush, and Hummingbirdpaw thought it uncomfortable since the dew was fresh on the leaves. She had to tell her... "Well... Farsight hasn't mentioned me because... Well, I met him only a few days ago and... We're in love." There! She said it. It felt so much better now that it was off her shoulders. The she-cat felt like doing a sommersault. Could cats do sommersaults? she wondered.[/blockquote][/blockquote] .i gotta make my mark. .i gotta run it hard. .i want you to remember me. .im leaving my pawprints. .im leaving my pawprints. .im leaving my pawprints on you. {{Lyrics from Fingerprints by Katy Perry}}

As the two she-cats chatted, Farsight allowed himself to relax. The tabby tom sat down, flicking his tail rhythemicaly as he awaited a chance to jump into the conversation. The two cats were obviously getting along; that fact made Farsight's eyes light up a bit more. What, he wondered, would Beartail think if he ever met Hummingbirdpaw? Surely he'd love her; Farsight saw no reason that anyone wouldn't love the beautiful WindClan femme. The thought suddenly made him feel a bit insecure. Hummingbirdpaw was gorgeous and young and had a bright and amazing personality. These thoughts made Farsight become protective of his mate, for any tom would surely jump at the chance to have her. That was one reason the seperation was so hard. Farsight needed to protect Hummingbirdpaw, yet how could he when she was across the WindClan border?
Blackpaw's words sent Farsight spiraling back into reality. He opened his mouth to defend himself and Hummingbirdpaw, to say that Blackpaw didn't' need to know everything about his social life, when Hummingbirdpaw's melodic voice interrupted him. Farsight's mouth remained open for a moment, but he closed it again. There, it was out, now Blackpaw knew. Farsight got to his paws, suddenly feeling anxious. Yes, it felt good to have it all out in the open, but how would Blackpaw react? He remembered how Blackpaw had reacted after Sleeppaw left. If Farsight were to leave, would it be too much for her? Farsight shook the thoughts from his mind and turned his golden eyes onto Blackpaw. "Can we trust you?" he asked. His voice, which almost always had the hint of a demand present, now was also a bit softer. It was almost pleading; if Blackpaw were to turn on them, what would happen?

It shouldn't have been any of her business. She didn't need to know. The fact that Farsight had introduced her to Hummingbirdpaw should have been enough for Blackpaw. She would be able to accept the pretty WindClan cat as a friend and been proud that Farsight had chosen to let them meet each other. It proved that Farsight's friendship really had gone past his warrior ceremony like Blackpaw had been afraid it wouldn't. But she had to be nosy, had to know why the pair were hiding. She had to take the whole thing personally. And now she knew the details.
In love. The words echoed in Blackpaw's ears. The shock reflected from her entire body. The way she had pulled back sharply, ears turned flat and gold eyes flared wide. Her whiskers stood stiff in their places, rising with her ebony coat. Was it true? Love? Blackpaw had felt love, but not like her friends felt it. She didn't know what it was like, but she couldn't believe it was stronger than what she felt for her Clan and friends. The love Sleeppaw had spoken of for Eclipse couldn't be fiercer than the pain she had felt when she failed to keep him in his Clan. It couldn't be, because Blackpaw had never hurt so much before.
"Can we trust you?"
Farsight was gentle when he spoke, but the question put Blackpaw on immediate defense. Her expression turned from horrified shock to bitter anger. Her eyes turned to slits and she hissed fiercely.
"What kind of a question is that? I'm not a tattler!" she snapped. She glowered at the warrior, tail lashing behind her. For a moment the only sound were the upset leaves that her tail disturbed. "I won't tell." she growled. And then, as an after thought, "But what am I supposed to do? If you leave, the rest of the Clan will want to know why. Am I supposed to lie to them for you, you mangy piece of crowfood? Why do I have to be in the middle!" Her temper was mounting to a dangerous temperature. It wouldn't be surprising if she lashed out with tooth and claw. She had gotten mad at Sleeppaw, too. It had made things worse, and then he really did run away. Frightened that she had ruined everything, but too stubborn to apologize yet, the little apprentice ducked her head. Softly, so she could barely be heard even by herself, she murmured, "Your not going away, really, are you?"

WindClan ApprenticeI wanna break the mold. .wanna break the stereotype. .fist in the air. .im not going down with out a fight. .its my life. .and im not sitting on the sidelines watching it. .pass me by. .im leaving you my legacy.Hummingbirdpaw watched Farsight out of the corner of her eye. She noticed the subtle calm of relaxation overtake him. The she-cat's eyes sparkled as she took in the situation. Maybe all would end up okay... Life will end up alright. Maybe Hummingbirdpaw could join ThunderClan? After all, she didn't have much to leave behind. Their was Autumnbreeze; but she was living the quiet, soothing life as a rogue. That was better for her. Hummingbird always knew that her sister didn't want to fight. She was too analytical and quiet. The silver she-cat's emerald eyes flicked over to Farsight's and lingered there, grasping every sense she could over his amber gaze. She loved the unusual faraway look he got whenever he was in deep thought. Maybe that was why he was named Farsight... Anyways, Hummingbirdpaw loved his name. Just as much as she loved him. But her thoughts were broken when her mate spoke: "Can we trust you?" Uh-oh... she thought. I have a bad feeling that was the stupidest thing he could say to Black--
"What kind of a question is that? I'm not a tattler! I won't tell. But what am I supposed to do? If you leave, the rest of the Clan will want to know why. Am I supposed to lie to them for you, you mangy piece of crowfood? Why do I have to be in the middle!" The WindClan apprentice leapt back in fright at the sound of Blackpaw's seething hiss. She really did feel bad about this. Blackpaw was right, why did she have to be dragged into this? Hummingbirdpaw could have left the instant she knew Blackpaw was coming. She could have come back to see Farsight the next day. Or possibly have met him again at fourtrees. But no, poor Blackpaw was dragged into this. Sympathy clouded Hummingbird's green eyes and she took a step to the ebony apprentice. She wanted to reach out and tell Blackpaw everything. Explain to her what it all really meant. But she was afraid the angered ebony she-cat would strike her, so she waited for her to calm down. "You're not going away, really, are you?" Hummingbirdpaw knew that the question was directed to Farsight, but she calm closer to Blackpaw and pressed her muzzle against the other she-cat's. It was a sign of apology and pain. She didn't really want this, but her heart had led her to Farsight. He had patched up her life and made her feel better. The silver cat hoped that Blackpaw would understand this, too, in this one, simple touch. "Farsight won't leave you, Blackpaw," she whispered so quietly into the black cat's ear that only she could hear. "He loves you. He really does. And it hurts him to see you in pain. No, he won't leave ThunderClan. He won't leave you, Blackpaw. Because he cares about you. Yes, he loves me. But if I asked him to stay in ThunderClan for all of our sakes, he'll do it. Maybe I'll join. Or maybe he and I aren't meant to be. But I won't let him hurt you, Blackpaw. I swear on it."[/blockquote][/blockquote] .i gotta make my mark. .i gotta run it hard. .i want you to remember me. .im leaving my pawprints. .im leaving my pawprints. .im leaving my pawprints on you.{{Lyrics from Fingerprints by Katy Perry}}

By the time Farsight realized how Blackpaw would react to his words, it was too late. The young black apprentice's outburst didn't surprise him, yet he did recoil back. Immediately he felt sorry that he had even said it, but he had to be sure. Farsight loved Hummingbirdpaw more then anything, and the chance that he'd lose her because the Clans found out was something that scared him. "I didn't mean it like that," Farsight mewed sincerely to Blackpaw, trying to calm her down. "I should know by now that I can trust you, Blackpaw, but you have to understand why I reacted the way I did. If we're not careful... Listen, I am sorry, Blackpaw." His golden gaze was perfectly sincere. Farsight's eyes moved to Hummingbirdpaw, and he watched his mate walk over to Blackpaw and begin to whisper in her ear.
Farsight fidgeted uncomfortably, like a kit becoming impatient when being punished. Hummingbirdpaw's voice was so soft that Farsight could only pick up a few words, yet they weren't enough to explain what the two she-cats were whispering about. This made Farsight uncomfortable, and his tail started to flick back and forth uncomfortably. Farsight flattened his ears, trying at his hardest not to interrupt the she-cats and wait for them to bring him back into the conversation.

Blackpaw was about to spit in reply to Farsight's apology. She wasn't ready to let the warrior calm her down. There were times when her hot temper was like a safe haven for Blackpaw. She was able to speak her mind. Sure, it did her more bad than good, but in the heat of it it was almost normal to be angry. Then Hummingbirdpaw was coming to her. The black apprentice didn't get a chance to say whatever it was she wanted to because the WindClan cat had come uncomfortably close. Blackpaw drew back a ways, her gold eyes wide with curiosity. She accepted Hummingbirdpaw's friendly touch and listened to her quiet voice.
Farsight's my friend, he always will be. He's proved that over and over. He won't leave me. Hummingbirdpaw could come to ThunderClan. A WindClan cat in ThunderClan?
Blackpaw looked at the silver she-cat with genuine shock. Why would any cat ever want to leave their own Clan? "No, you can't leave!" Blackpaw whispered urgently. "You might be an enemy Clan cat, but I don't want WindClan to lose a good cat any more than I want ThunderClan to lose Farsight. Don't you understand? I don't care that you two , erm, love each other. Farsight's my friend, not my apprentice. He can do what he wants. I just don't want him to ruin his life, like . . ." she almost said like Sleeppaw might have, but she held her tongue and ducked her head. Sleeppaw wasn't any of Hummingbirdpaw's business. Besides, Blackpaw didn't like to talk about the former ThunderClan cat. It hurt to much to wonder if her fiery criticism might have had a part in driving him away. Blackpaw flicked her tail apologetically and brushed her muzzle against Hummingbirdpaw's awkwardly. "I want to be your friend, for Farsight's sake. I think we can get along. I'm just having a hard time controlling myself, that's all."
The tiny cat got up from her spot beneath the bush and went to Farsight in a single bound. Without so much as a brief hesitation, Blackpaw thrust her nose under the warrior's chin. Her eyes were tight shut and her ears laid back. She trembled with sorrow. "I'm sorry, Farsight." she mewed, her voice shaking with strength. "I'm sorry. It's just that I'm not much good at making friends, and I don't want to lose you. You and Severedclaw are the greatest cats I've ever known." She whimpered, and repeated again, "I'm sorry."

WindClan ApprenticeI wanna break the mold. .wanna break the stereotype. .fist in the air. .im not going down with out a fight. .its my life. .and im not sitting on the sidelines watching it. .pass me by. .im leaving you my legacy.Hummingbirdpaw's eyes glittered with a silent emotion that put all of her soul into it. She was so happy that she and Blackpaw were going to be friends. Though the ebony apprentice did have a point, Hummingbird was still greatly considering joining ThunderClan. But whatever the case, she knew deep down in her heart that everything would be alright. Life will perforate and then settle down into a deep slumber that would be peace. She just knew it. "I didn't mean it like that. I should know by now that I can trust you, Blackpaw, but you have to understand why I reacted the way I did. If we're not careful... Listen, I am sorry, Blackpaw." "No, you can't leave! You might be an enemy Clan cat, but I don't want WindClan to lose a good cat any more than I want ThunderClan to lose Farsight. Don't you understand? The silver she-cat tensed slightly when Blackpaw brushed her muzzle against hers. She knew that she had to act like it was all fine, for all of their sakes. But the idea of getting so close to another cat that she might lose or hurt... Well, Hummingbirdpaw just didn't know what to do. She backed away, allowing Blackpaw to bound to Farsight. The WindClan apprentice turned her head slightly and watched as her mate and her newfound friend talked. A surge of sadness unexpectedly came up in her chest. What if she had to leave Farsight anyways? Would she be able to bear it? Would he be able to bear it? "I'm sorry, Farsight. I'm sorry. It's just that I'm not much good at making friends, and I don't want to lose you. You and Severedclaw are the greatest cats I've ever known. I'm sorry." She bit her lip and said not a word. This scene before her was going to be imprinted in her mind for the rest of her life. If only she could hold on to it tangibly for that long.[/blockquote][/blockquote] .i gotta make my mark. .i gotta run it hard. .i want you to remember me. .im leaving my pawprints. .im leaving my pawprints. .im leaving my pawprints on you.{{Lyrics from Fingerprints by Katy Perry}}

It seemed like ages before the two she-cat's conversation had ended. An instant after, Farsight saw Blackpaw bounding over to him. He didn't flinch when Blackpaw shoved her nose under his chin, but his eyes showed his surprise. It was odd to see Blackpaw appearing so vulnerable to him. Her shaky voice did hurt him. Blackpaw was his best friend, like a sister to him. If he ever did have to leave... well, he didn't want to think about it anymore. Farsight loved Hummingbirdpaw, more then anything that he'd ever known, but he loved Blackpaw too, even though it was a different type of love. Blackpaw's words placed the tabby tomcat in a dilemna. He didn't want to lose Blackpaw either, but if in order to stay with Hummingbirdpaw he'd have to leave, he would. Still, he'd stay close, if he ever left it would simply be to go to WindClan.
"You don't have to be sorry, in fact you shouldn't be sorry," Farsight mewed gently. "You will never lose me completely, Blackpaw. I'll always be your friend, wherever I am. You're like my sister, my best and really only true friend here in ThunderClan. And no matter what happens, that won't change. You'll always be my best friend, no matter what is to come." His words were completely true. Whether he was in WindClan or here, he'd always think of Blackpaw as his best friend, his sister. Still, he needed to be with Hummingbirdpaw. Not having her was like not having air, impossible. It was impossible to even consider letting her go. Farsight turned his golden gaze to Hummingbirdpaw, his eyes spilling out his feelings for her without words. After a moment, he returned his attention to Blackpaw, and he gave her a gentle, playful nudge, trying to lighten the mood. [/blockquote]

Blackpaw's eyes widened and she turned her head up to look at Farsight's face. He would never know how deeply his words moved into the tiny cat. Coursing through her like fresh new blood, ready to make her alive. A sister . . . Blackpaw had never known that he would think of her that way. Always, she had been alone. The orphaned runt of ThunderClan who had barely the strength to survive the death her two littermates suffered. And now she, the kitten who had grown into a head-strong, bad tempered young she-cat, she had a brother. Just like she had a father in Severedclaw. Suddenly, but oh so softly ad sweetly, Blackpaw's world had grown. And with that simple world, the youngster who possessed it grew. She grew inside, becoming something she had never expected. Part of a family.
Blackpaw swallowed hard, not completely understanding all the emotions swirling inside of her. She was twice as jealous of Farsight now that he had stepped into the light of a brother. She didn't want to share him with Hummingbirdpaw no matter how wonderful the pretty WindClan cat might be. Yet, she made Farsight so happy. Even that was obvious to Blackpaw; it showed in the tabby warrior's face, the way he longed after the enemy apprentice. He wants to be done with me so he can go to her. Blackpaw looked back at Hummingbirdpaw, who was waiting for them to finish. They're perfect for each other. Just like Eclipse was perfect for Sleeppaw. I'll never have a perfect. But if I did, would I be willing to cross borders for them? Would they be a "perfect" if I had to do something wrong just to have them? Blackpaw didn't know, but deep inside she couldn't make herself believe that the cat she chose to love would be a cat that made her do something wrong.
Sighing, the dark apprentice stepped back from her friend. She gave him a long look, trying to put all of her acceptance for his decision in it. Than she nodded to Hummingbirdpaw.
"I'm glad I met you, but I'm sorry I was so mean. Don't be angry with me. I'm going to go back to camp now, unless you want me to stay, but I didn't think you would. And Farsight," she turned to him, pleading with her expressive gold eyes. "Please be careful. I don't like this very much, and the rest of the Clan will be really upset if they ever find out. I don't want you to get in trouble . . . You're my brother, more than any real brother ever could be." She choked slightly on the words, not used to being filled up with so much emotion. Her voice wavering and soft, barely above a whisper, she finished, "I love you, I don't want you to get hurt. Please, please be careful."

{{ FIST IN THE AIR I'M NOT GOING }}{{ DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT }} Small, sweet tears budded in the silver cat's eyes. Holding back a sob and a sad, sad smile, Hummingbirdpaw turned away but listened to the emotional conversation between Farsight and Blackpaw. Her ears were relaxed but slightly angled in their direction, showing that she was listening. How rude it was... But the curious side always took over, the interested part was always stronger. You don't have to be sorry, in fact you shouldn't be sorry... You will never lose me completely, Blackpaw. I'll always be your friend, wherever I am. You're like my sister, my best and really only true friend here in ThunderClan. And no matter what happens, that won't change. You'll always be my best friend, no matter what is to come."
Why am I doing this to Farsight? Ripping him away from his loved ones and family? the she-cat thought bitterly. I should be happy when he's happy, and I'm making him miserable. Because I'm making him care more about me than those that matter most... "I'm glad I met you, but I'm sorry I was so mean. Don't be angry with me. But the acceptance and the sad, yet reassuring support was there in the small apprentice's voice. When she was addressed, the silver she-cat turned to see Blackpaw looking at her. It was then that she felt like crying with hysterics when she heard what Blackpaw said to Farsight. "I love you, I don't want you to get hurt. Please, please be careful." Oh god... Oh god... Why am I doing this? Why am I so terrible and evil and sick? I shoudn't be doing this... This is wrong... So wrong."Wait..." she started lamely, twisting her body around and getting up to pad to the ebony she-cat. "...If--if you want to... You can stay with us for a walk or something. I-I mean you don't have to if you don't want to. But... Since you're part of the family... I might as well get to know my newfound friend." On the last few words, a beaming, beautiful smile lit up the apprentice's face. Her green eyes were bright and cheery, odd compared to the small tears that were still nestled in the corners.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
