Rivercreek So break me down if it makes you feel right... ... And hate me now if it keeps you alright Emerald orbs gazed with a hopeful tone across the river. The lone tabby tom wrapped his tail around his tiny paws, his long, lean-muscled legs stiff as the rest of him as he simply stared. After meeting the beautiful young apprentice, Icepaw, the river had become Rivercreek's favorite place. Here, he could clear his head, could take a breather without the stresses of every day life dragging him down. And, as a bonus, he could always wait and hope to see the beautiful fae again. The last time he had seen her was before his warrior ceremony. Was she a warrior now, too? Did she still have the heron feather he'd doved into ice cold waters for? Surely, she at least remembered him. That was all that counted.
Pumafang had grown distant from Rivercreek. Ever since he'd started seeing that loner, his brother had changed. Rivercreek missed talking to him, even if it was just to be hissed at or scolded. Now he didn't have the time for even that anymore. To top it all off, just recently the loner had given birth to River's brother's kits. Puma would have his paws full no doubt, as surely at least one of the kits would be staying. Personally, Rivercreek didn't want the loner (he refused to even call her by name, he resented her taking his brother's attention that much) to stay in ThunderClan. Sure, Rivercreek knew how happy she made Pumafang, but still, River needed his brother. He was still a young warrior. He felt that he still needed his brother's guidance as he grew up.
Rivercreek could see that the water had risen a bit, making him wary. Any cat could fall in, and most likely they'd disappear into the crystal blue depths. He shuddered at the thought, shaking his tabby and white pelt. Drowning was not on his list of things to do today. He cast one more longing glance across the river before settling further back into Sunningrocks, rustles and other sounds coming from behind him. He flicked his ear, signalling that he heard whoever was coming. Anyone's company would do at the time, even an irritating little apprentice or a cranky old elder. Anyone would be better then his own company. His chance of seeing Icepaw appear from across the river was too slim to hold onto.
"Anyone there?" Rivercreek called, not turning behind him. He didn't bother turning around. If he had, he would've seen that it was not a Clanmate watching him, but the firey red pelt of a fox. His whisker twitched impatiently, awaiting for whoever was there to show themselves.

A young apprentice walked through the leafy forest. Her large paws making nothing but a soft thudding noise against the ground. Tingepaw's lilac gaze wasn't focused on anything in particular but everything surrounding her. Tingepaw smiled as she padded through the dappled patched of sunlight. She loved to take walks in the forest, just to get away from it all.
The grey she-cat was on her way to Sunningrocks, where she was to meet Ashpaw. She smiled, she couldn't wait, even though she saw him earlier. Her heart beat for him, but she wasn't sure how he felt. She sighed as she emrged from the trees and onto sunningrocks. Her paws left the cool forest floor to be met by the warmth of the rocks. She noticed Rivercreek a few foxlengths away. "She padded over to him. "Hello Rivercreek" she mewed.

ashpaw,, I fell in love at the seaside Padding through the forest, Ashpaw swiped his tongue across his lips and scented the air for a hint of prey. He was given the rest of the afternoon off by one of the warriors for the amount of prey he’d brought earlier, and just as luck would have it, his friend Tingepaw did too. A little flurry of emotion swept through him when he thought about her; she was some she-cat. His heart fluttered in his chest and he tried to shake the feeling away. Ashpaw wasn’t one of those toms who just instantly knew that a certain cat was the one. It took him forever just to try and decipher what he wanted to eat, let alone figure out that his heart went all crazy because of a pretty fae. Stepping over a thicket of burrs, Ashpaw felt extremely optimistic. His day had been nothing short of wonderful so far, and there was no reason, at least in his mind, why anything should go wrong. His paws eagerly made their way up toward the sunningrocks where he and Tingepaw had planned to meet. Just thinking about her and a whole uninterrupted afternoon with her made his mind race with the possibilities of what they could do. He instantaneously began to wonder how mad she might get if he shoved her into the river. A little grin etched onto his features just thinking about it. He scrabbled over a large rotting log, a stray twig tangling itself in his tortoiseshell fur. He shook himself out, reaching back to pull it from his fur, grumbling just as he hoisted himself up to the sunningrocks. Upon arriving, he heard two voices and flicked his ears, just as Rivercreek and Tingepaw came into view. He felt a small twinge of irritation that Rivercreek would ruin their day, but also admiration for the warrior. Dipping his head respectfully, Ashpaw waltzed over to Tingepaw. ”Hey Tingepaw, Rivercreek.” He said cheerfully, his good mood unhindered.

Rivercreek So break me down if it makes you feel right... ... And hate me now if it keeps you alright The voice of Tingepaw, one of the apprentices, floated gracefully into Rivercreek's ears. He looked down at the young gray fae and smiled. She wasn't one of those annoying apprentices, at least as far as Rivercreek knew. He opened his mouth to speak, but another cheerful voice had entered the area of Sunningrocks before he could say anything. Rivercreek turned his head, seeing the other apprentice, Ashpaw, making his way over to Tingepaw. Rivercreek nodded to the two apprentices. "Hello Tingepaw, hello Ashpaw."
He could sense the attraction between Tingepaw and Ashpaw very clearly. Maybe it was because he felt it already for another cat, and he knew when others felt it for each other. Clearly, though, Ashpaw and Tingepaw each had feelings for each other. He smiled at the thought. For awhile he wondered if he should leave and give the two privacy, but as his emerald eyes strayed across the river he decided against it. Maybe he could help train the two of them, take them hunting or something. Play a bit of match-maker, perhaps? Rivercreek held back a chuckle. Still, he could feel his neck begin to prickle, as if the three of them were being watched, unaware of a danger in the shadows.
"You two don't have mentors yet, right?" Rivercreek mewed, getting to his paws and flicking his white-tipped tail. Why don't I take you both hunting? If you want, that is."

Tingepaw sat down by Rivercreek waiting for Ashpaw to arrive. Just then the tom bounded to them. "Hey Ash" she said happily. Her heart skipped a beat, he was finally there. She was lost in her own thoughts, preocuppied by thoughts of Ashpaw. She sat there smiling half hearing Rivercreek's question. She snapped out of it and looked at him with her lilac eyes. "Its fine with me, Ash?" she said, lookin gin the toms direction.

ashpaw,, I fell in love at the seaside Ashpaw nodded to the tom enthusiastically. How exciting! He really couldn’t wait to get a mentor so that he could become a warrior, and here Rivercreek was, offering to teach them a few things! He almost couldn’t contain the happiness in his limbs as he shuffled his paws in anticipation. He cast a glance over at Tingepaw that was both regretful and animated. He was a little upset that he wouldn’t be able to spend his afternoon with just Tingepaw, but training with her was the next best thing he could think of, and he even liked Rivercreek. He greatly admired the strong warrior, and he hoped he could one day be as successful and admirable as the older tom. ”That would be great!” Ashpaw exclaimed, his tail lashing with impatience. Rivercreek So break me down if it makes you feel right... ... And hate me now if it keeps you alright He'd known that Tingepaw would enjoy training, but Rivercreek had been a bit anxious to hear Ashpaw's response. He could tell that Ashpaw had wanted to spend time alone with Tingepaw, but hey, it would be rude not to offer a couple apprentices some tips. Though Rivercreek wasn't sure whether he wanted to be a mentor or not, it wasn't because he didn't like apprentices. He just didn't want to screw up anyone's training because of his mouse-brained mistakes. Still, both Tingepaw and Ashpaw looked eager to begin training, and neither had a mentor. Rivercreek didn't want them to end up like him, not getting much training at all before their warrior ceremonies and having to train themselves. Though Pumafang had been helpful, after he met Spook he distanced himself from Rivercreek.
He purred at the two apprentices' eagerness."Great!" Rivercreek mewed, scanning his emerald eyes across Tingepaw and Ashpaw. Well, where could they start? Rivercreek knew that he would also be playing a bit of matchmaker for the two of them as well, mainly to make up for him invading their time. Hunting would involve silence and very little interaction except for a "that was great!" or "good catch!" The tom frowned mentally and finally decided on having them do a play-fight, mainly to see what they already knew. Besides, every apprentice loved the play fighting parts of training, and it would show Rivercreek what Tingepaw and Ashpaw already knew."To start off, we'll have a mock battle," Rivercreek mewed. "It's mainly to show me what you've learned. Remember, keep claws sheathed. After this we can do some hunting." Rivercreek bit his lip, hoping that his choice wasn't disappointing for the two cats.[/blockquote]
