[shadow=gray,left,200]Severedclaw ///
Blue eyes blinked lazily as the sun came down in warm beams to warm his gray and white fur. Life was pretty content for Severedclaw right now, he realized. One: He had an apprentice. Two: He came friends with the usually rude Shatterclaw. Three: Well... Severedclaw just started to get the feeling that he maybe had a purpose in this Clan life that was thrust upon him. He used to wish he had died with his Tribe. How haunted his soul used to be until now. Life was quite content. Severedclaw yawned and his thoughts drifted back to his first apprentice training with Blackpaw. He purred in fatherly affection as he remembered his apprentice's spunk and witty nature. How even though they had just started to know each other, she had already looked up to him with a admiring light in her eyes and said: "You're the best mentor ever, Severedclaw! After this, I'll be the best warrior in ThunderClan!" How amazing it was to be so close to a child as young as Blackpaw. The feelings to protect and the desire to teach her everything about the universe was strong and undeniable. Sighing yet again, Severedclaw closed his eyes and he drifted to sleep right there in the middle of the Training Hollow. [/shadow][/center][/color]

.kick my brains 'round the floor..iVYPAW * A this she-cat padded towards the training hollow. She remembered coming here only a few times with Flightfall. Ugh. Flightfall. She hated the cat. He was her mentor. Until she hurt her leg. Then he started to get closer to Brownstar until she named him her deputy. He was proud...too proud it seemed. The stupid tom now only cared about his duties and had left her in the dark. Ivypaw's ears flitted backwards. Her amber orbs flickered with anger. She limped with slow progress until the hollow came into sight.
The calico fae saw a shape resting in the center of the area. Severedclaw. She flicked her white whiskers and then limped over to him. The sandy floor felt cool under her paws. Ivypaw swished her tail thoughtfully and sat down next to the tom. Her dark eyes watched the trees limbs moving about in the air. She still was staring forward when she spoke. Could I - tell you something? Just between you and me?
.these are the days it never rains but it pours.

Crawls like a worm...
[shadow=gray,left,200]Severedclaw ///
"No! Mom, I can't do it! I just can't," laughed a young Severedclaw when he was still only known as Creature. The laughs and giggles that escaped his young lungs were still untainted by nightmares and hates. His mother smiled down at him and nuzzled her only son. "You will listen to our Tribe leader. Do what you must to become his to-be. Now off you go with your sister to fetch the Tribe some herbs." When Creature still didn't budge but scowled at her, the gentle queen picked her young son up by the scruff and carried him to the entrance. His gray legs thrashed about and squeals of protest filled the cavern. None looked up though because the roar of the waterfall covered the indolent screechings from the to-be. He hissed quietly as his mother dropped him. "Whatever. I'll find Evergreen and find those stinking herbs." Severedclaw--Creature--looked up at his mom for the last time. "I hate you." The sound of a slow proceeding from across the hollow made Severedclaw awaken. Though he didn't open his eyes he flicked his gray ears and whiskers in greeting. From the scent he could tell it was a former ThunderClanner. From the pauses and dragging noises, it was Ivypaw. He felt no pity towards her because he knew what it was like to hate pity. But he sympathized. How could he not when he had a useless leg, also? They were more alike than any other two cats. "Could I - tell you something? Just between you and me?" Could I tell you something, Mom, he thought sadly. I don't hate you. I miss you and Dad and the rest of the Tribe. No I'm losing my sister... At least she won't die alone with Paddingsoul at her side... "Sure," he meowed quite animatedly. He stretched, tremors passing through him except for the dead left leg. "What do you need to tell me, Ivypaw?" He kept his voice casual and uncurious. Severedclaw didn't want her temper to flare. Not when he might bring this tormented she-cat out of her shell. He looked up at her. She was pretty, this he had to admit. Even the twisted and useless leg didn't wane the radiance that seemed to illuminate her. He hoped that she wasn't talking to him just because they were two peas in a pod. He wished it was because she trusted him. "Fire away," he yawned. .with just a touch of my burning hand. .i’m gonna live my life to destroy your world.
Ivypaw flicked her tail and glanced over at the tom. His coat shined in a lovely aura in the shimmering sunlight. A few leaves skitted about her paws. The she-cat blinked and listened to Severedclaw's smooth voice. What do you need to tell me, Ivypaw? Would he understand? She doubted it. The fae let out a sigh and then pulled her ears back. How could he understand. Thinderclan had seemed to accept his injury...but not hers. No - never would they accept Ivypaw. The she-cat let out a whisper, hardly that even.
I-I'm going to Windclan...
Ivypaw closed her eyes and waited for his angry words. His comments on how stupid she was for deciding to leave Thunderclan. They would come...any cat who lived in the clan loved it. They didn't have a useless leg that prevented them from fitting in though. They were accepted throughout the clan. They had been to gatherings. Ivypaw never got these simple things granted to her. She never would. The calico feline let out a tired sigh and hung her head down.
.and your face drops in a pile of flesh. .and then your heart, heart pounds. .'till it pumps in death.

"He crawls like a worm...
[shadow=gray,left,200]Severedclaw ///
Severedclaw looked back down at his paws and flicked his tail. Why do I have a feeling that she feels a little put off by me? I'm not truly accepted by ThunderClan. Just there in the background. "I-I'm going to Windclan..." Now that was something he wasn't expecting. Severedclaw looked up with slightly widened eyes at the apprentice. She shouldn't be an apprentice. Just living with that leg makes her a warrior. He kept his voice calm and curious. There was no need to yell and make her leave forever. "May I ask--as a Clanmate who should look out for what's best for my fellows--why? If you were to leave ThunderClan, why WindClan? It just doesn't fit together in my mind..." I can understand to an extent... he pondered. There was something to Ivypaw--much like his relationship with Blackpaw--that made him want to protect her, too. But it was different than Blackpaw. It was a parent to child friendship. This bloomed and blossomed in his chest... [/shadow][/center] ...crawls like a worm from the bird..." [Lyrics from The Bird and the Worm by The Used][/size]

.dance to the burning flame. .pleasure exhumes the pain. .the night bursts into flame.
Ivypaw looked up at Severedclaw surprised. His voice was calm then it stung her like a blade. May I ask--as a Clanmate who should look out for what's best for my fellows--why? If you were to leave ThunderClan, why WindClan? It just doesn't fit together in my mind... The calico fae winced as if something physically pained her. Her heart ached. Even he couldn't understand. Maybe she couln't run but Ivypaw wanted to go to Windclan. She had heard of loners who had gone there - one she-cat had left and came back she heard. Another time she heard of an apprentice who had broken her leg and had been still accepted...and healed. Besides, Ivypaw had heard somewhere she had blood from Windclan. She could just feel that they would accept her there.
Ivypaw flicked her amber orbs up at the tom. He seemed to be day dreaming. She sighed and then spoke. Windclan...just seems like a good place to try and get accepted. Thunderclan ignores me and they don't seem to appreciate anything I do. I can't do anything though anyways...I couldn't even help Blackpaw and Orangepaw or stop them from almost killing themselves. I guess Windclan is a good place to try and find a home. If they treat me the same as the cats from here then I'll move on to another clan... Ivypaw looked into the tom's eyes. Her tail flicked back and forth and a strong wind buffeted her fur - it was cool. I'll...miss talking to you though. You understand me more than any other cat.
.if I cut off your arms and cut off your legs. .would you still love me anyway. .there's a spot on the floor where your limbs used to be. .and I close the door on my fantasies. .why don't you love me anyway.

.he wears his heart safety pinned to his backpack. .his backpack is all that he knows. .shot down by strangers whose glances can cripple. .the heart and devour the soul.
[shadow=gray,left,200]Severedclaw ///
His eyes were distant before but now focused to rest sharply on Ivypaw as she winced away from his curiousity. Severedclaw felt a blow come to his stomach and chest as the pain leaked out from behind her mask. Their pain was physical and similar. And that made it so much harder. "Windclan...just seems like a good place to try and get accepted. Thunderclan ignores me and they don't seem to appreciate anything I do--" Join the club, he bitterly spat in his mind. "I can't do anything though anyways...I couldn't even help Blackpaw and Orangepaw or stop them from almost killing themselves." Severedclaw winced at the thought of his apprentice almost dying. He saw her small body lying on the ground, looking even smaller and...and lifeless! That was almost as physically painful as having your jugular ripped right out of your throat. "I guess Windclan is a good place to try and find a home. If they treat me the same as the cats from here then I'll move on to another clan..." Severedclaw sighed quietly. He knew what that was like. He left a while ago to accompany Cinderwing because he felt like being a true friend for her and to be a rogue. Then there was Meer-- The handsome tom shivered at that thought of the dreaded Meer. He could remember how terrified he was of her and her "gang". That was what brought him back to ThunderClan--no, home--not fitting in even there. The tormented siamese knew what it was like not to fit in. There was no talking Ivypaw out of her tough decision. It must be hard for her even if she didn't feel at home her. She must have had family, siblings, or friends here. It would be hard no matter what. "I'll...miss talking to you though. You understand me more than any other cat." That surprised him. But Severedclaw was glad to be trusted. It made him feel a little better that he and Ivypaw had something in common and could tell the other what they felt. But he knew that she would leave. For some reason... It would hurt. He wouldn't force her to stay, but he could at least try to make her think about it before she possibly ruined her life. "And I feel the same talking to you, Ivypaw..." he breathed. He didn't want to offend her or screw it all up. So he thought before talking. "Not everyone is perfect. And not everyone is going to listen to you." He smiled wanly at her before going on. "But someone will always be there to carry you when you fall. And that is a friend. They'll help you speak up when none will listen. The world may be against you... But that one true friend will break apart from the world to stand at your side." He blinked his eyes, trying to hide the worry slashing at him. Will she listen? Can I change her life to make it better? I have to. I don't know why... But I have to make everyone see she can be useful! [/shadow]
.all alone he turns to stone. .while holding his breath half to death. .terrified of what's inside he. .crawls like a worm. .crawls like a worm from the bird.
