SnakecoilThunderclan warrior It was the sixth time this had happened, and quite frankly, Snakecoil was beginning to become annoyed with it. He had been crouching in the bracken, stepping quietly forward, his paw just brushing the ground as a large bug buzzed madly out of the way to avoid being crushed. His prey, a large hare, turned in a flash, its liquid brown eyes holding a stare as Snakcoil stared it down with his eyes. His piercing yellow, snake-like eyes. The creature paralyzed, not even its whiskers shuffling, or its nose twitching as it might if it were in its usual activities. The only movement was the hair on the rabbits chest, it vibrated and quivered violently with each swift thud of its tiny heart. Although other cats might take this opportunity, Snakecoil-like the other times- couldn't find it in him to leap forward and claw the life out of it.
It was strange how...when you could observe what was before you, even for five second, you often found yourself frozen, unable to do what you had pledged. A minor hesitation, and suddenly something you might not even be thinking of to do before is suddenly impossible. It was easy to simply leap on the unsuspecting prey, quick and unmerciful as you stared at the lifeless eyes that you had never had a chance to look through, to see the gleam in them when they actually reflected to world back into the mind of a creature that had actually lived. But when you hesitated, and found yourself holding a stare with something that lived and breathed and actually acknowledged your exsistence...well, it seemed like murder if you thought of it that way.
And so the hare stood, mottled brown fur shivering with fear, its paw unable to force its body away from the headlight effect of Snakecoil's eyes. It seemed blinded, unsure what to do, unable to make the decision that would save its life. Snakecoil made that choice for it. He turned the force of his lamp-like eyes off, holding them closed for a few seconds before opening them. The only thing that saw was the foliage, mixed with the red, gold and orange of fall, only few of the trees holding onto their lush green colour. The rabbit was gone, the ferns where it had fled through still shook and quivered. There went the queen's lunch. He had been planning to take what he caught to the nursery queens, but it seemed that they wouldn't be having rabbit today. Not from Snakecoil, at least.
With a dreary sigh, he turned to pad back through the forest, mind twirling around like a baton being thrown by a cheerleader. whoever was throwing it didn't let out, for his mind felt jumbled and confused as he made his way through the thick maze of undergrowth until he found himself above the ravine clearing. He could see the creek, trickling along slowly, the pristine water fluid crystal as it flowed slowly over the rounded pebbles that lined it. I really needed someone; He thought drearily, his face shadowed from the sunlight that sifted through the canopy. He wasn't sure who he needed, a brother or sister, a parent, a close friends...a mate. But he didn't seem to have any of that, well except maybe siblings. But he scarcely saw them anymore. So he perched, chocolate brown pelt gleaming, and stared down the entrance to the Thunderclan camp.

Falling like a stoneNeed means simply, that one requires or deserves something. But need could also mean that someone depends on something, or someone. It could mean that they need something to survive, they simply depend on it. Depend, a word most do not like to associate themselves with. But of course, sometimes you simply can not avoid it. You need someone to go on, some more than others of course, some absolutely devote themselves to finding that someone, that someone that could be with them forever, as long as they can remember at least. But of course there are a few that don't care, but some of those tend to have a certain kind of disorder. Standing like a tree Drips of dew dropped off of the limp leaves in the forest as the weather was crawling closer and closer to leafbare. But of course the prey population has yet to drop below it's normal number. Its normal number of course being just enough to feed the clan. Mice scurried beneath rocks and leaves white rabbits gnawed on green shoots of grass before darting away. Atop one of the larger rocks in the Thunderclan forest sat a soft coated gray tabby she-cat, her soft yellow eyes following the path of a large hare as it made it's way through the forest. Must have been spooked. She sighed and lowered her head onto her paws, gazing down towards the ground for a moment before she closed her eyes. None of your immediate family has ever gotten close to another cat, none of them has ever had kits. She sighed and opened her eyes, neither her brother or sister had opened themselves up to another cat before either. And falling like a leaf Was there something wrong with her family? Was there something, keeping them back? She was never able to find the answer to the questions she wanted answers for, she was never able to find answers within herself. Fernleaf turned her face towards the sky as she pulled her tail closer to her paws. She had friends, yes. She had siblings, but she had never been able to find the cat that she was attracted too, or they were attracted to her. She shook her head and pushed herself to her paws and looked around. She flexed her claws then jumped off of the rock and onto the squishy feeling forest floor. She swished her tail back and forth as she gazed at this small, little, baby looking mouse, run across her path. She turned away and towards the Thunderclan camp entrance. But standing up again She flicked her ears back as she came across the spot where Snakecoil had been stalking the hare. She sniffed around, it seemed as if he didn't go after the hare. She swallowed and looked up towards the camp entrance, his scent trail lead that way. I hope he's ok. She never really worried about another cat, so it was strange that she was not only thinking that, but the fact that she paused and looked around where he had been waiting. She turned and padded gently towards the camp entrance, towards Snakecoil. She padded up beside him and nodded, a small half smile on her face. "Evening Snakecoil. How are you?"And waiting for the right one.

Of course it was ironic, how the cat, named after the cunning, alert serpent, would leap straight up into the air, his brown fur sticking out at acute angles and his saffron eyes wide and round like the outline of the sun. Honey streaks of sunlight forced the umbrages into the deepest corner of the forest as possible, while the thin lines of the canopy made beclouded images on the floor of the forest, auburn leaves ruffling and drifting through the air. As soon as Snakecoil's claws scraped against the slate boulder again, he twisted through the air to eye the approaching cat dubiously. The monochrome grey fur and bright eyes were immediatly appraised by his orbs, and he realized that he must seem like a utopian just sitting there and staring off into space. With a quick, embarrased swipe of his tongue over his fur, he sat in one fluid motion.
" Oh, hi Fernleaf. I didn't really notice you coming until you, well, um...yah. Its a nice evening, a bit chilly though. I'm fine I was just...I was just kindof thinkning about my siblings, and my mother...and Shard...I miss her you'know? And I..." Snakecoil stopped, trying to calm his heart down from beating so spryly. " And I'm talking to much, sorry Fernleaf." Snakecoil flashed an apoligetic grin at the she-cat before staring down at his paws.
Shesh...what an idiot I am. Snakecoil continued to stare down at his paws, taking in their adequate shape, the fine details of his deep brown fur as the breeze made the tree branches brattle together, the short, sharp snaps making the lithe tom's ears pop. The intense rhythyme of his heart was pumping gallons full of adrenaline into his blood stream, and every vein and artery in his body seemed to throb so lividly, it was on the edge of becoming painful because of how vibrant each small element was in his mind. Why was he acting like this? It was so unlike the social tom to act this way. It was like some other puppeteer had taken over his body, the puppet. It must of been because of the stress he had been under lately. But even as he looked back up to meet Fernleaf's eyes, the smile on his lips was only surface deep.

FernleafLoyalty to my clan isn't the only kind of loyaltyYou’ll be the prince... The nice weather seemed to be holding, for now at least. Dark menacing clouds hung in the distance, threatening to sweep in and pour down their contents on the forest. Rain would be nice, if it was accompanied by a thunderstorm at least. However sometimes Thunderstorms caught the forest on fire, that was not something anyone wanted. The small gray tabby she-cat shifted her weight as Snakecoil looked up, her heart beating faster. Why? She wasn't sure, maybe because of the happiness in his eyes that shone when he looked at her. With a flick of her tail she sat down with a small, kind smile. "No no Snakecoil, it's okay if you talk, I don't mind." Turning her face towards the sky she let out a small sigh before talking again. "So, how has your day been?" She looked into his eyes, waiting for an answer.

Snakecoil shifted his paws, curling his long tail around his sleek brown body, similiar to how a snake would. Word to reply to Fernleaf with swirled through his head, but each seemed to corny or to serious, why couldn't it be easier to talk to the pretty grey she-cat? Small flakes of snow were beginning to float slowly through the canopy, the wind gently craddling each small frozen drop of water until it touched the ground and almost imediatly melted. Snakecoil found it strange that the first few flakes always almost melted, and then others would stay longer and longer until they didn't melt at all...Now he was getting his mind of topic, and no, that wouldn't do. Fernleaf was waiting for him to reply, and he probably looked dumb sitting there, eyes glazed and whiskers twitching like a rabbits. " I guess its been a okay day, Fernleaf, but to be honest, the last few days have been rather boring, theres nothing much for me to be enjoying lately." He hoped his dreary sigh wouldn't sound to dramatic.
((Blarg, trying to rush through these and get them all done x]))

Small white flakes drifted slowly down as the weather seemed to cool, soon the white flakes would take over the forest and cause all of the pray to hole up. She heaved a sigh as Snakecoil sat silently gazing at the flakes, his whiskers twitching. She smiled and watched him as he recovered and finally responded. " I guess its been a okay day, Fernleaf, but to be honest, the last few days have been rather boring, theres nothing much for me to be enjoying lately." She nodded and looked around before finally just looking at him. "Leafbare, or even Leaffall tends to be boring. Just have to hope that it passes quickly." She stood and moved forward to sniff at a mouse hole, the smell of mice was strong but they were clearly holed up for the winter, not wanting to come out unless they have to.

"Leafbare, or even Leaffall tends to be boring. Just have to hope that it passes quickly."
Snakecoil wrapped his long, slender brown tail around his paws, nodding at what Fernleaf said. He flicked his ear as a few flakes of snow drifted down to perch on it. The only new prey scent was the one of the rabbit that had bounded away when he was hunting. He watched curiously as Fernleaf padded forward to sniff at the entrance of a mouse hole. there was small piles of sand and dirt around the hole, but the scent was new, but it wasn't strong, evidently the mice were curled up far under ground, waiting for spring to come again. Snakecoil stood, clawing at the ground, mixing the fresh snow with cold lumps of dirt. His legs felt tight and tense, he needed to do some running or more hunting..
He turned to Fernleaf and smiled slightly. " Hey, how about going for a hunt? I have to get something else since I lost that rabbit..." He trailed off sheepishly twitching his whiskers anxiously as he waited for Fernlead to answer.

Fernleaf glared at the mouse hole. Why did the little things have to hole up during cold weather? Don't blame them she thought before turning to face Snakecoil. She flicked her tail to her side before giving him a small half smile "Sure, a hunt sounds like fun. I haven't gone on a good hunt in awhile." She padded forward and looked around as if searching for the prey that moment. "So where do we want to start hunting? Shadowclan side, Riverclan side, or somewhere else?" By side she meant on their side of the border but towards those territories.

Snakecoil let out a sigh, trying to decide between Riverclan or Shadowclan borders. " Well..." He began slowly, flicking his pink tongue along his lips," I think that most of the prey will probably be around Riverclan borders." After winter thats were most of the seeds and young plants would be, attracting more of the small animals to feed there. And besides, more sunlight would be coming through over there as well, and it would be warmer. At that moment, another breeze churned through the forest, rustling the branches that had just began to bud with small green packages of leaves. Snakecoil turned his head towards Riverclan terra, lifting his muzzle to the sky and drinkning in the cool air.
"Ready to go?" Snakecoil smiled towards Fernleaf, brown fur ruffled by the wind. He took a few small steps forward, the leaves underfoot crackling slightly from dryness.
