Cinder wing Life is a waterfall We're one in the river And we're one again After the fall Leafbare was fading from the forest, the tragic affects of the harsh season fading along with it. The snow had melted away, and prey was once again becoming plentiful for the creatures of the forest. The air was again filled with cheerful birdsong, whether life was cheerful or not for those who heard it. A sky so pale hovered above the woods of ThunderClan, no clouds in the surface for once. Only a bright, vibrantly yellow sun hung up above, its warming rays a blessing to the formerly frozen earth below it. Yes, life was again beginning to bloom. After all, Newleaf was the season for that. Another thing that vanished with the coming of the warm, spring season, was the slow disappearance of sickness.
In the forest was a gray she-cat, her pelt the smokey gray shade of a storm cloud. Her eyes were the color of the sky at that very moment, pale and simple blue. She had been one of the many that suffered from sickness in the Leafbare, and had nearly lost her life because of it. But now, as quickly as Leafbare was leaving the forest, the illness was leaving her tired body. Though she was still frail, her ribs showing through her fur and her eyes reflecting exhaustion, it was much better then how she'd been before. And she had ThunderClan to thank for that. They took her in, well some of them did, with acceptance and helped her despite the fact that she abandonded them all those many, many moons ago. The days of her being in their ranks felt so far away. Cinderwing knew that she could never feel at home in ThunderClan again, but she couldn't just leave without saying her thanks.
Without them, and without her dear friend Severedclaw, she wouldn't have survived Leafbare. At Cinder's paws laid the only thing that she'd managed to catch during her few days of being back on her own. The vole was skinny but it was something, though it wasn't nearly enough in her mind to repay her former family. Anyone could see that the she-cat needed the prey but she wouldn't keep it. Cinder had caught it in the loner terra, and she was giving it to the ones who'd kept her healthy and alive. The first warrior that came by she'd give it to, and she'd make sure that they accepted it before chasing her off. Cinderwing flicked her ear, listening to the sounds of the woods that'd once been her home, but not anymore. She learned from staying with them that she just didn't belong in the Clans. She hadn't been spending time with BloodLust either, though, and instead spent her time on her own. That was where she believed she was better off.
The sound of pawsteps coming toward her alerted the fae. Cinder straightened her posture and looked toward where she'd heard the sound, tasting the air but smelling nothing. Whoever it was was downwind to her, and would smell her before she saw them. What they chose to do with this advantage was their choice. Would they chase her off, or listen to what she had to say? She could only hope it was the second option. Keeping her expression cool yet friendly, Cinder spoke toward where she'd heard the pawsteps. "I don't mean any trouble," she said softly, her voice still weak but gaining strength. Relaxing her muscles to show that she was indeed no threat Cinder listened, waiting for the cat to show themselves.

( / smacks paw down ) SHARD CALLS THIS! Because Sunny used to have a crush on Cinder! :} he must greet her! OR I SHALL EAT YOU! nom nom nom nom [bg=FFFFFF]
Sunpelt's golden eyes traced over the blissful sight of the pregnant queens resting themselves in the sun's warming light. Though none of the females held his own kits; the tom still liked to pretend they did. The aging tom had accepted his fate as a lone male; and as each day went by his daydreams seemed to slowly die into the back of his mind. To be left there until the day he died along with the memories of those who had left him. Blackpelt, Flametail, Shard. The list went on and on.
Sunpelt stretched his back in a long, satisfying arch. Before slowly slinking over to the warriors den to see if any of his siblings were asleep, yet the den was empty. Usually Sunpelt would find his sisters, curled up together- but today it seemed they were actually doing something. Sunpelt let out a purr at the thought of the twins and how much they have grown- how much they have all grown. When they were young, the family would always be exploring new things or sneaking over the boarder to get a glimpse of there father ( the old deputy of Riverclan ). Back then, the siblings could always be found together. Now, it seemed the exact opposite. little Shardpaw ran away to be a loner, Sharkfang seemed to have disappeared, and the twins were even starting to split apart.
Sunpelt felt bittersweet emotions flow through him at the should of his childhood. There wasn't a day that has gone by that golden tom didn't wish he was young again. The senior warrior quickly trotted towards to exist, hoping that hunting would clear his mind of the unwanted thoughts that seemed to haunt him more the usual.
Once Sunpelt got deep enough into the forest, he stopped to scent the air. Yet instead of the smell of pray, he smelt the faint scent of a loner. Excited pricked at Sunpelt paws at the though of his sister, finally returning to Thunderclan. The tom's heart began to beat faster, pounding so hard he could feel the blood pulse through every part of his body. The beau calmed his body with deep breaths, knowing he would only be disappointing for thinking such thoughts. The warrior took silent steps towards the noise, his golden eyes still shimmering slightly with hope. Yet his heart dropped when he saw who is was.
It was Cinder; his childhood crush. The loner had returned to Thunderclan for some time, but Sunpelt had been to disgusted by her to even consider talking to her. The beautiful storm-gray fae had been sick the entire time anyway, so even if he wanted to Creamstep would never allow him to even get close to the sick.
"I don't mean any trouble,"
Sunpelt snorted and slithered into the clearing; "Haven't you wasted enough of Thunderclan's time? " he hissed, golden eyes flashing at the fae. " we already wasted perfect good herbs on you, what more do you want? "

Cinder wing Life is a waterfall We're one in the river And we're one again After the fall The pawsteps were coming closer to her, and Cinder felt her paws begin to prick with anticipation. She wanted to leave, but she wanted to be sure that ThunderClan received her thanks. Cinder looked up at the sound of a snort from the bushes, and a golden tom appeared before her. One she recognized very well. Sunpelt. Cinder had known Sunpelt when she lived in ThunderClan, she'd even had a crush on him for some time. Hearing the words he hissed at her made her visibly flinch, pale blue eyes falling to the vole that lay at her paws. Never had she expected Sunpelt to snap at her like that, and again the fae was filled with a rush of guilt. Cinderwing hadn't wanted to return to ThunderClan in the first place, it'd been Severedclaw who insisted on her receiving treatment from them. Blinking a few times, unsure of what to say, Cinder finally just nosed the vole toward Sunpelt, not meeting his eyes. "I just wanted to say thank you," she said quietly. "I owe ThunderClan my life. I know that... this isn't much, but it's all I've been able to catch recently." The smokey gray she-cat got to her paws, her ears flat against her head. She knew all along that she shouldn't have allowed Severedclaw to take her back, but then again she'd been rather immobilized at the time. Still, it was clear she shouldn't have stayed. The warrior Farsight had made that clear when she'd first arrived. Feeling her heart clench with sadness, knowing that she was no longer at her former home, Cinder finally allowed her eyes to raise and meet Sunpelt's. "I'm sorry... I've been such a burden. I won't be coming around anymore, you've all done enough for me already. Tell Severedclaw I said thank you as well." Surely Severedclaw would understand why Cinder wasn't coming back. ThunderClan could never be a home to her again. She'd messed up in the past, and now there was no going back. Her claws sheathed and unsheathed into the ground and she looked away, knowing that there was nothing left to say. Did she leave? The tension and uncomfortable feeling in the air made her feel like that'd be her best bet. Turning her back on Sunpelt Cinder started to walk off, listening with a small bit of hope, hoping that he didn't hate her.[/blockquote]

its hiding in the dark its teeth are razor sharp</3 "Cloud?" her small voice broke the strange silence, frightening her with its echo. The calico queen lay still and listless, her thick fur ruffled only by the stirring wind over the field. Alfalfa brushed against their coats, dancing in their faces as if trying to viel the unwelcome sight. Pippin drew in a sharp, shaky breath, taking a tenative step toward the body.
"Don't touch her!" Envy screeched, scrambling to cut him off. Her bony tail lashed behind her, green eyes wide with fear and glassy.
The gray tom hissed, his gaze full of angry pain. "You can't keep me from her; she's my mother."
"No!" Envy wailed, crouching down with her ears laid back and her claws dug into the ground. Her body swayed. "I don't care. You don't deserve her!"
"Petal," Blackpelt's mew was shaky with sorrow, but she remained steady while she regarded her half-sister. She sighed, blinking back tears. "Cloud loved Pippin very much; Dragonscar stole him from her. Let him say goodbye." Envy gasped with pain, jealousy over the dead queen making her stubborn. "Please," the dark warrior pleaded. "Didn't you see her? She died saving him! Her whole life was about finding him again."
The sickly loner glared up at Pippin with blazing hatred. "But I loved her! I was there when she needed me, not you! She told me - I was just as much her kit as you are!"
"Then as my sister, let me see her." he sounded so desperate, so full of passion. Neither one could ever admit it, but the two were very alike. Both had suffered and grown strong, both had set up goals fo rtheir lives that had seemed to fail. Perhaps it was the similarity that drove them apart. They were so alike the other that their flaws were recognizable, encouraging hatred.
Finally annoyed, Pippin pushed past the small cat to his mother's side.
