A small calico crept up to the draped entrance of the apprentice den. The young she-cat crouched down, and peered inside. It was gloomy, and she could see some cats there, purring and meowing to each other, using terms she didn't quite understand yet. WildPaw didn't dare go in yet, even though she was an apprentice. Her tail went between her legs. This was kind of eerie to her, and she hadn't a clue what to do. She just remained crouched down there, looking inside. She didn't feel welcome, because she had no mentor yet. She waited.

WildPaw stopped peering inside. She stood up. There was no way that she would be this way! Stop acting like a dopey kit! Your an apprentice! You just don't have a mentor. That's all... she thought to herself. She stood up from her crouch. She wondered when she would be assigned a mentor, and if she would. I felt like so long! She longed for her mother, and wished she was fully clanborn. She shook away that thought, and sat down to groom. She decided to just go somewhere. But I can't leave camp! she continued to think. She stopped grooming and moaned. Ughhhhhh. So bored... she said to herself, and collapsed so that she was on her stomach. A few seconds later she sprang to her feet. C-c-c-cold! she remarked, eyes wide. Leaf-Fall. I hate it when it does that to me! Good thing my winter coat is starting to come in... She just started to pace in front of the den instead.

Wildpaw turned away from the dens entrance, and walked across the clearing to Dragonstar's den. She wanted to ask him about a mentor for her.
