Snowbird
Paws gently pressed against the soft, dusty ground as Snowbird re-entered the den with a heavy heart and a busy mind. A mix of emotions ran through her at the thought of the clan meeting that had just come to pass - fury at Ferretpelt and his continued accusations, joy at becoming a mentor, and sympathy for Windclan's leader, Windstar. She had been unlucky enough for her first meeting to break out in a fight, but at least Starclan was on her side. Snowbird's fur bristled as her thoughts turned back to Ferretpelt. She was sure that he hadn't been happy about the white warrior's defiance and eagerness to disagree, and she was more than positive he would be having words with him later. The temptation to tear him to shreds was almost too good to ignore, so she pushed it from her mind and slunk to her nest, yawning and stretching out as she waited for sleep to overcome her.

Dust flew into the air as tan paws kicked it up into the torrid air. Two emerald eyes gleamed with unconcealed fury as the apprentice ran around the clearing. Trying to clear her head. Hmf! That idiot warrior blurting out retarded accusations! Fool! I want to just sink my claws into his fur! I hope he gets a tick where he can't reach it! In her mad dash, the small she-cat lost her footing and she skidded into the warrior's den and crashed into Snowbird. "Oh, snap!" She jumped back, her stub of a tail fluffed out in a comical fan and her eyes as big as saucerplates. "I am so sorry, Snowbird!" She didn't wait for the warrior to reply. "Doesn't it infuriate you how that weasel of a Ferretpelt spat out those accusations? I sure am. I mean, his name sure suits him. Ferretpelt! Doesn't that just make you think?" Hummingbirdpaw got up and started pacing in the small den. "A ferret is a rodent and it's the definition of trickery and..." she looked for the right word. "ferretness!"[/shadow]

Snowbird
Snowbird couldn't help but smile at the young apprentice as she began to complain about Ferretpelt. When when she had finished, she returned to looking bitter and unhappy. "I could not agree more.." She whispered, looking around. "And I am sure that he is not happy with me at all." The white warrior winked, brightening a little. "But it was worth it to see the look on his face when we yelled at him." She added, grinning broadly. "I'd do it over if it meant seeing that look one more time." The she-cat laughed a little at this, whiskers twitching with amusement.[/sub]

Hummingbirdpaw smirked mischieviously. Her green eyes were alight with a youthful playfulness to them. She purred, a humming throb that sounded more like a hummingbird's chirp instead that of a feline's purr. "I could not agree more... And I am sure that he is not happy with me at all. But it was worth it to see the look on his face when we yelled at him." The little silver apprentice laughed her chime laugh and rolled onto her back. "Now that was hilarious! I almost died laughing at that dumbfounded look on his face! You know what, I wish I could put something nasty in his bedding! Like a bee's nest or tons of mouse bile! Imagine the look on his face then, ha!" [/shadow]

Snowbird
The white-pelted warrior nodded, grinning broadly. "I wouldn't want bees in my bedding, that's for sure. He would be furious! It's a fantastic idea! But..." Her looked returned to that of a serious old warrior, not one that had only been one for a moon or two. "I'm not sure I'd like to cross Windstar at the moment. She's done so much for me as it is." She turned away for a moment, stomping a paw in the dust. "But man, what I wouldn't give to annoy the living daylights out of Ferretpelt. That is, if I haven't done so already!"[/sub]

[shadow=silver,left,200][HUM]mingbirdpaw
Hummingbirdpaw giggled her adorable giggle and smirked back at Snowbird's beaming smile. Or maybe honey instead of a bee's nest... she thought mischieviously. Imgaine him waking up to his precious fur all matted and sticky from the honey! Woot! Would I give my prey to see that! Her eyes grew bright at some inside joke. NO! Something dead and nasty would scare the girl out of him! Like maybe a dead fox. I could imagine him waking up nose-to-nose with a zombie fox! Now that would be priceless! "I wouldn't want bees in my bedding, that's for sure. He would be furious! It's a fantastic idea! But..." Hummingbirdpaw looked up from her paws to the young warrior. Soon, she would be a warrior. Though she didn't look it or seemed to hardly be able to take care of herself. "'But' what?" "I'm not sure I'd like to cross Windstar at the moment. She's done so much for me as it is." The little silver and tan apprentice screwed up her face in concentration. Yeah, I guess I can understand. Windstar already has enough on her platter with Ferretpelt without an annoying apprentice bugging the antagonist of the Clan. "But man, what I wouldn't give to annoy the living daylights out of Ferretpelt. That is, if I haven't done so already!" Hummingbirdpaw--though adorable and seemingly helpless on the outside--the troublemaker laughed her bell laugh and rolled on the ground with laughter. "You can't believe what I imagined to do to that weasel! I was planning on getting something like a dead fox and putting it right in front of his nose. Imagine what he would say when he woke up to a dead, stinking zombie fox right in front of him!" She jumped up and pretended to be Ferretpelt. Getting the details--including his voice--right down to the punch. "'Help me! Oh, somebody pity me! There's something filthy and inferior near my fresh bedding! Somebody other than me get rid of it!" Hummingbirdpaw empathized the comical enactment by bashing her eyes and flicking her paw against her chest and at the ground as if she were shooing a fly away.[/shadow]

Snowbird
"'Help me! Oh, somebody pity me! There's something filthy and inferior near my fresh bedding! Somebody other than me get rid of it!" Snowbird laughed, the sound gentle and high like the sound of a owl or other bird. "That is exactly how he would react." She said, tail dusting at the floor as she laughed. "I wonder what he'd say if he heard us." She added, beaming. "He'd be so angry with us, wouldn't he?" She acted like a young kit, bouncing around the den as she laughed and chattered, her head held high and ears pointed up. She was sure that she hadn't been this happy in quite some time.

"I wonder what he'd say if he heard us." She added, beaming. "He'd be so angry with us, wouldn't he?" Hummingbirdpaw snickered, her face pressed down in her chest fur to muffle the giggles that tore at her lungs. She looked out of the corner of her eye to see Snowbird flouncing around as if she were an apprentice herself, her eyes bright and her pretty face contorted in a good way into a laughing smile. The little silver apprentice had a way with others that made them feel moons younger and wipe away all of the worries or pains they might feel. She was also very pursausive, yet gullible. She herself could convince her warring mind that maybe the first snow could happen during Greenleaf. Like that was possible. "I wonder what he would think of us talking about him behind his back...," she mused. After a quick moment of thinking, she jumped up and wiggled her haunches as if she were hunting. "Let him hear us! I'd like to say all of this to his face!"[/shadow] [/center]

Snowbird
Trotting in circles, Snowbird's bright eyes earned a defiant, fierce glint at the apprentice's words. "Whether he hears us or not, it does not change how we feel about that dung-for-brains so-called warrior." She yowled, fur fluffing as she snorted with distaste. All this talk of the older warrior was like having a burr between her toes. Unfathomably irritating.

[shadow=silver,left,200][HUM]mingbirdpaw
Hummingbirdpaw didn't say anything this time, but nodded to herself and Snowbird's comment. Sister used to say that to me. Wingstar, the former leader, used to say that to me also. 'Don't let one's words tear you down or change your path. It is laid out by StarClan. Not your peers. Even then you have the power to change the text of StarClan's plans.' She looked up and smiled at the irritated warrior. She had to admit also. Ferretpelt was like an unreachable thorn in her side. The senior apprentice wished that this nice warrior could be her mentor. Hmmm... I wonder... Hummingbirdpaw cleared her throat. "Snowbird... Have you ever wanted an apprentice?" Snowbird
Snowbird looked up, shoulders relaxing as she looked at the younger she-cat with curious eyes. "I...I have an apprentice already. But I could always get Windstar's permission to look after another, why do you ask?" She inquired, head tilted to the side as she smiled warmly.

Waiting on your supernova...
[shadow=silver,left,200][HUM]mingbirdpaw
Hummingbirdpaw tried her best not to show any disappointment but her face went slack and her mouth pulled down at the corners. "Naw... Never mind. You've asked enough of Windstar. No need to ask about something unimportant. Anyways, she's got enough on her plate without an annoying apprentice begging for a mentor." She really did try to keep her voice casual. But it came out sounding persuasive and bossy and sad. The silver and tan apprentice didn't want to bring anyone through anymore grief that was unnecessary. "Forget I mentioned it." [/shadow]

Snowbird
Snowbird frowned, taken aback at the sudden change in mood. Her eyebrows slanted upwards and her shoulders sagged, confused. "It's really no trouble at all. I can go and ask her. She will want more warriors should we be attacked by another clan, and it may give me more of a chance to prove myself. Plus...I haven't seen my apprentice for a while...I've looked for him, but can't find him." She sighed, looking away. "Some mentor I am, eh? Can't even find my apprentice." The white shecat lowered her head, staring at her grey paws as misery crept into her voice. "Not sure why she picked me, anyway.."

[shadow=silver,left,200]ĦŮmmĨйĝßïrDÞÄŴ[/color][/shadow] WindClan Apprentice
.seems like yesterday we were sixteen. .we were the rebels of the rebel scene. .whe wore Doc Martens in the sun. .drinking vintage cider having fun. .we were drinking vintage cider having fun.
Hummingbirdpaw shook head. "No," she said quite harshly. "I will not become a warrior until I find my sister. We will live together, become warriors together, and die together. Anyways, we only have each other." She looked back up at Snowbird with sad eyes. "I can't leave her behind. I have to find her." She felt sick. Maybe she should do what she said and get off her lazy butt. Hummingbirdpaw should be out there right now calling her sister's name until she went mute, for StarClan's sake! Yes! That is what she'll do. She'll go out, catch herself something to eat, and patrol the borders until sundown. If she didn't see hair or tail of Autumnpaw, then off again the next day before breaking dawn. Hummingbirdpaw walked out of the warriors' den. "I'll be back later, Snowbird," she called over her shoulder. "We can talk about mentors and apprentices later tomorrow or the next day." And she bounded off in the direction of Fourtrees.

Snowbird
"Ah..Wait!" Snowbird yowled, bounding out of the den after the young apprentice. She watched sadly as Hummingbirdpaw left, knowing it was probably too late to catch up to her. "She could've let me go with her.." She murmured, feeling quite sorry for herself, before she turned and padded back into the den, lying on her bedding until she finally drifted off to sleep.
