Farsight, The life that I knew is through... ... And I'm gonna need you more then ever. With ThunderClan far behind him, Farsight felt prepared to take on anything coming his and Hummingbirdpaw's way.
Or... not.
Of course he was happy, no thrilled, no there were simply no words to describe how overjoyed he was. He had Hummingbirdpaw forever. There were no more secrets, no more having to meet only once or twice a moon, no more treason toward their Clans by meeting. Joining WindClan would keep the two together forever. Farsight felt no doubt that this was the right decision. WindClan was now his home. With Hummingbirdpaw by his side, everything was just so right, so perfect. But, to be honest, he was just a little bit nervous about walking into a camp filled with cats he never met. He could imagine the snarls and hisses and the retorts, and although he'd want more then anything to snarl back at them, Farsight figured that he'd better bite his tongue. First impressions were important, and he wanted the Clan to accept him.
It was odd, walking on the moors. Farsight felt more exposed without the trees hovering over him. It was nice, but so foreign to a cat that lived under the cover of trees for his whole life. Farsight could feel the wind running through his tabby pelt as he walked, and he ruffled his fur just a bit to keep warm. The only prey he could scent were rabbits, rabbits, and more rabbits with the occasional mouse. There was another challenge. Farsight was not built like a WindClan cat; he was shorter then most with a lot of muscle, not the lean muscle that WindClanners possessed, though. Surely he'd get the hang of it after awhile. At least, he hoped he would.
Yes, WindClan was the right choice. As long as he was with Hummingbirdpaw, everything would work out perfectly. Still, there was one thing that he tried to keep in the back of his mind. Blackpaw. Farsight felt horrible for not saying goodbye to her, but he'd figured it would be best. Blackpaw would've only tried to stop him, or maybe even tell the Clan before he could even try and leave. So he'd left right away after meeting Hummingbirdpaw in the forest. Blackpaw probably hated both of them now; he could picture her eyes, glaring daggers at him, her pelt fluffed up with hostility. He'd miss his little sister, actually he missed her already. Sure she was a pain, but she was the closest thing to family he had left.
She'll come around... eventually, Farsight thought to himself. There was no more time to dwell on the past or future worries. WindClan camp was in his view, and suddenly he felt nervous again. He could already imagine the distrusting glaces of Hummingbirdpaw's (and soon to be his) Clanmates. It was to be expected that cats would doubt him at first. But Farsight was a strong, determined cat. He'd prove himself to them eventually, he knew that. Farsight sighed and licked Hummingbirdpaw's ear once. "I love you," he mewed, and then his paws carried him into WindClan camp. His amber eyes darted about, seeing cats doing their daily routines. No one had noticed him... yet.

[glow=silver,4,000]♥ [/glow] Hummingbirdpaw { AND THE GROUND CAVED IN BETWEEN WHERE WE WERE STANDING } { AND YOUR VOICE WAS ALL I HEARD THAT I GET WHAT I DESERVE } And I saw God cry in the reflection of my enemy.
And all of the lovers with no time for me.
All of the mothers raise their babies.
Before her life had spiraled down at a breakneck speed, Hummingbirdpaw would have believed that her stomach was twisting and churning because of her nerves; she couldn't have been more wrong. It was because of the little lives that were growing in her womb; a part of her but completely separated. Hummingbird thanked StarClan for the fact that her pregnancy wasn't visible yet; it was going to be hard enough for Farsight to be accepted into WindClan without the fact that his mate was carrying their kits.
And he didn't know yet.
The silver fae eyed the ThunderClan tom carefully as they trekked across the moors. Though he was emanating confidence, Hummingbirdpaw could see the anxiety in his amber gaze. They had argued long and hard about his decision to leave Beartail and Blackpaw, but Farsight had been stubborn and convinced Hummingbird that he was going to live with her in WindClan. Though she had pleaded Farsight to think things through, she was happy, deep down, that he decided to stay with her. And now, with the kits. . .
Hummingbird flinched, her green eye closing so that the tabby tom wouldn't see the terror. What a horrible mother she was going to be. Childish, impatient, sharp-tongued; those were all of the things a mother wasn't. The small femme didn't ask for this. . . But it happened to her and she had to deal with it. They would be beautiful, just like Farsight.
It had been a fortnight ago when Hummingbird knew. She had been caught up in a dream where a young tabby tom was lying in the center of Fourtrees, his flank rising and falling in deep sleep. Hummingbird could recall how she padded up to it, fearing that it was hurt. But then, the tom-kit opened his eyes--green as emeralds--and looked up at her with adoration in those familiar orbs.
" Mother? " it whispered.
" I love you.
" Hummingbirdpaw opened her eyes and looked at Farsight as his tongue rasped against her ear. She pushed the fear out of her emerald orbs and looked back at the quickly growing WindClan camp, determination pulling the edges of her lips down in a pursed frown. She was going to do this. . . With Farsight and the--the kits. Trying to swallow the fear that quickly built up in her throat, the fae entered the place she had loved and known as home her whole life on silent, itching tan paws. Never before had she felt so caged, terrified, restrained here. This was her home, her birthplace. Why should she feel like that? Because it might as well not be my home, she reminded herself, bitterly. I've betrayed them time and time again. She glanced up at Farsight, pure love in her damaged eyes. But it was worth it. And it always will be. The second they reached the center of the camp, everything stopped in time. Warriors glanced up from their meals and duties, pure unadulterated hatred and shock plastered on their faces. Apprentices stood on stiff legs as they arched their backs and hissed, spitting mad at the fact the scent of a ThunderClan warrior was strong in the air. A queen dashed out of the nursery, grabbed her kit, and retracted with a snarl of fury. " Who is that? " " An intruder is in the camp!! " " Where'd he come from? That's no WindClan cat; he's ThunderClan!! " Hummingbird snarled as she turned around to face the she-cat that just spoke. She was an older warrior with a sooty gray pelt. Hummingbirdpaw unsheathed her claws as the gray warrior smirked, revealing a set of ugly black teeth. " Let me guess. . . Little Hummingbirdpaw finally commited the ultimate prank; running off and falling in love with a ThunderClan tom? Neither of you aren't wanted here. " She broke off and spat at Hummingbird's feet, a small chuckle escaping her withered lungs. The silver femme glared at her with a piercing eye and dug her curved claws into the ground, a furious snarl escaping her lips. The warrior fae backed away, a spark of fear in her eyes but the smug smirk still on her lips. " Oh, I see. You decided to bring your filthy mate and your tainted blood here, thinking Windstar might take pity on your kits. " The fury in Hummingbird's eyes was replaced with agony and defeat as her head hung in shame, her green orbs staring sightlessly at the ground. " No--You have it all wrong--! " She was cut off as the warrior laughed uncontrollably, her scarred body colvulsing with her sick sense of humor. " Honey, I'm going to tell you one thing: I've lived a long time and I know a pregnant she-cat when I see one. Now you and that scum, " she hissed as she pointed an accusing unsheathed paw at Farsight, " get yourselves and your tainted brood out of here. " Hummingbird could feel the furious tears building up in her chest, making her shake with the hatred that boiled in her veins. She was doomed. They were all doomed. This was going to be the last lie Farsight would endure before he left her. To be honest, why would he not leave her? She had lied to him so many times, pushed him away, argued against him joining WindClan. Hummingbirdpaw's lips trembled as she hissed at the she-cat, her back arched with the short silver fur bristling along the spine. " You're wrong, " she whispered with acid marring her tone. " Leave her alone, Blackfang!! " " Yeah! Just because you're an old windbag doesn't mean that this young she-cat has to suffer the same fate as you! " " Let Windstar decide their fate! " Blackfang growled quietly as she backed away, the fur on her scrawny shoulders bristling. With a snort of contempt, the old she-cat turned around and padded out of the camp, her knotted tail dragging in the dirt. Hummingbirdpaw smirked before blinking warmly at the cats who had stood up for her. Relief filled her heart and made her feel like she was going to burst with happiness. Until she remembered. . . Turning to Farsight, Hummingbird backed away a few steps back, her eyes downcast in sorrow. " That she-cat was lying-- " The young femme stopped and shook her head, a few tears flying from her eyes. It was better to just tell him, to admit to her lies. " I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, " she whispered as she looked away, not wanting to see the betrayal in her mate's eyes.[/blockquote][/blockquote] tag; cinder! and WindClan! muse; crappy even though I'm soooo excited about the kits. . . Farsight, You know that, maybe it's time for miracles... ... Cause I ain't givin up on love, no I ain't givin up on us. A spark of rejection flickered in Farsight's eyes, for what he had feared the most was coming true. WindClan wouldn't accept them, and that was a fact. Now not only had he brought scorn onto himself, but Hummingbirdpaw as well. And that was even worse. Hummingbirdpaw loved her Clan like a family; the hateful hisses had to hurt her deeply. Farsight found himself moving forward to shield Hummingbirdpaw from the seething words of her Clanmates, resisting the urge to snarl at them. First impressions were everything, and if he did something stupid they'd surely kick him out. The tabby was doing well in keeping his tongue to himself, until that creepy-looking, rotten-toothed warrior came into the picture.
" Let me guess. . . Little Hummingbirdpaw finally commited the ultimate prank; running off and falling in love with a ThunderClan tom? Neither of you aren't wanted here. " Farsight snarled but held his tongue, still. Hummingbirdpaw seemed to have the irritable warrior afraid, until the black-toothed she-cat said something else. " Oh, I see. You decided to bring your filthy mate and your tainted blood here, thinking Windstar might take pity on your kits."Farsight blinked, suddenly confused. Kits? What was this mouse-brain blabbering about? He looked at Hummingbirdpaw and saw her eyes fall to the ground, looking defeated. Farsight felt fury rage through his veins like a wildfire as he turned to face the warrior with a look that would scare even the largest dog. Nobody treated his mate like that, especially some rotten-toothed scum. His lips pulled back in another fierce snarl as he prepared to speak again, but stinky-breath wasn't done talking." Honey, I'm going to tell you one thing: I've lived a long time and I know a pregnant she-cat when I see one. Now you and that scum, " she hissed as she pointed an accusing unsheathed paw at Farsight, " get yourselves and your tainted brood out of here. " "Clearly your teeth aren't the only things rotting," Farsight spat, taking a defiant step forward. So much for holding his tongue. "Have you had your brain checked lately? I think there's a bit of decay going on there, too. If I ever hear you talk to Hummingbirdpaw like that again, I'll make sure those black things in your mouth that you call teeth will be permanently removed. I'll be doing this Clan a favor; they won't have to smell your breath anymore." That felt good, Farsight thought to himself with a proud smirk. He felt guilty, though, realizing that the Clan probably thought of him as a rude, outspoken mousebrain now. Either way, he was proud of his sharp-tongue now more then ever." Leave her alone, Blackfang!! " " Yeah! Just because you're an old windbag doesn't mean that this young she-cat has to suffer the same fate as you! " " Let Windstar decide their fate! " Farsight couldn't help but smile at the sound of the WindClanners, his heart warming. Maybe there was a chance, maybe they would be accepted. He smirked boldly at Blackfang as she growled and backed away, and when she was gone he turned to face Hummingbirdpaw with a broad grin. His smiled instantly faded, though, as he saw Hummingbirdpaw's downcast expression. Farsight's face was filled with concern as his mate backed away from him, and he took a tenative step forward."That she-cat was lying-- " Farsight nodded. "I know, don't worry I never believed-" " I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, " Farsight's breath caught in his throat, and he shook his head in disbelief. Kits... Great StarClan, kits?! He'd always wanted to start a family with Hummingbirdpaw, to see beautiful, miniature copies of his mate running about, but this early? She was still considered an apprentice, no matter what her real age was. This was completely against StarClan. As if he thought the Clan would be furious with them before, now he didn't want to imagine the fate that not only Windstar would give them, but StarClan themselves as well."How... How long have you known?" Farsight asked, his voice quiet from the shock. Kits, kits... He was going to be a father. Life was catching up with him so fast. Farsight was aware of the eyes of WindClan on them, but he tried his best to push them out of his mind. All he could think about was Hummingbirdpaw, and the...
Kits."Why didn't you tell me?" he asked. There were no traces of anger in his eyes, no hate. Just... shock, and a bit of hurt as well. In all honesty, Farsight was afraid, afraid of what Windstar or StarClan would do to Hummingbirdpaw or the kits for this clear breakage of the Warrior Code. First a forbidden love, and now Hummingbirdpaw was mothering kits when she was still considered an apprentice. Farsight felt a warning in his gut, felt that the two of them would have to face a lot more now.And we'll face it together, he thought to himself. After I can think straight again. Oh StarClan, kits, kits, kits... ((Teehee, Farsight's going through a bit of shock at the moment))[/blockquote]

WindstarYou walk outside and all you see is rain...
He stepped forward, his raven black pelt keeping him hidden from the other cats in the clan. His bright silver eyes flicked from one place to another, searching for anything that remotely resembled a tan pelt, or any other color for that matter. This was the third time he was sneaking out, the third time he was escaping to Thunderclan. He stepped gingerly, unaware that an angry pair or cold blue eye were on him. A small smile tugged at the edge of his mouth, he was almost out of the Windclan camp, just a few more steps...
"And you think you're going where?"
The cold, irritated voice of his younger sister snapped through the small gap between the back of the warriors den and the wall. He peeked over his shoulder and felt a growing sense of sadness as he gazed at her angry looking face. "Windclaw...it's just a small walk." Turning he continued to push through the wall.
"You'll stop if you want that pretty tail of yours much longer."
He went for it.
His black paws ripped through the tough wall of the Windclan camp as he heard a slight shuffle of paws behind him. He actually expected to feel the rip of claw and tooth against his tail, but he didn't. The wall finally let him drop down to the ground, and with a huff he leaped up and darted towards Thunderclan. He would explain that it was just a late night hunt, or walk...or something. He was free for just a few seconds before a small tuff of tan and gray flecked fur slapped him in the side, sending him sprawling to the ground like a ragdol. "I told you to stay in camp!" Windclaw spat.
He shook her off and glared at his younger, much smaller, sister. "What does it matter to you what I do? Windclan isn't my home!" The shock of the words he spoke hit his sister like a ton of bricks. She stepped back.
"How....how can you say that?"
The sound of shocked mewling and yowling reached Windstar's ears before her nightmare ran its course. She heaved herself up to a sitting position and shook her head. What was going on?
" Leave her alone, Blackfang!! "
" Yeah! Just because you're an old windbag doesn't mean that this young she-cat has to suffer the same fate as you! " " Let Windstar decide their fate! " What? She flexed her claws once before standing and pushing her way out the doorway of her den. It took only a few seconds for her eyes to adjust and her to realize some of what was going on. Hummingbirdpaw stood, defensive, and somewhat defeated, next to a Thunderclan cat. Thunderclan Hate flashed in her eyes. Not for this warrior, but for her brother. She escaped the entrance to her den and stalked up to the young, warrior aged, apprentice and looked to the retreating Blackfang. Her tail lashed. Her icy blue eyes ran over Hummingbirdpaw, she had just caught the end of the exchange between her and her mate, the Thunderclan warrior. Kits? Fantastic. She raised her head and, even though she was smaller, much smaller than Farsight, she gazed into his eyes. She didn't have to ask the usual "what are you doing here" question. Instead she stayed silent for a moment, let Hummingbirdpaw and whoever this cat was explain themselves. The yowls of Windclan cats still escaped into the night. "Be silent!" she yowled, looking away from the warrior. "Let them explain before you act on your opinions!" Her gaze returned to the lone Thunderclan warrior and the betraying apprentice. NOTE: Sorry...first warrior post in months. x.x [/blockquote][/blockquote] ...You look inside and all you feel is pain

[glow=silver,4,000]♥ [/glow] Hummingbirdpaw { WE'RE GOIN' DOWN, DOWN IN AN EARLIER ROUND } { SUGAR, WE'RE GOIN' DOWN SWINGIN' } If Hummingbirdpaw was a hypocrite, than she would have batted a pretty eye and blamed it all on someone else.
But she wasn't that much of one, and there was no one else to blame but her.
The silver and tan she-cat suddenly felt self-conscious as the Clan whispered, their voices muffled with shock. Pretty soon, everyone would know; there was going to be no secrets anymore. A forbidden love, expecting kits--Hummingbird was going to be an outlaw, a criminal, in her own Clan--her family.
Hummingbirdpaw flinched at the shock in Farsight's eyes. Her own green ones looked down and away, unable to rectify all of the hurt she was causing.
" How... How long have you known?
" The small fae shivered and refused to look at her mate as she spoke. " About--I don't really know, okay? I just do!! " Her rising voice choked off as she looked around at the faces of WindClan she had known since she opened her eyes. They had seemed so open and helping when she was just a kit, now they all seemed to be glaring daggers at her. The small femme pressed her body closer to the ground and held back a hiss that was threatening to come out. All she wanted was to keep her kits safe. Couldn't anybody understand that? " Let's just not talk about this right now, Farsight, " she whispered, her voice pained as she looked him in the eyes. But it seemed that this would have to continue. " Why didn't you tell me? " Hummingbirdpaw held back a sob as she stumbled forward and pressed herself close to Farsight, her frantic gaze flickering around to rest on every individual's facade. Her tan paws trembled feebly as she turned her head away from the empty stares. " I didn't want you to worry, " she whispered under her breath. Knowing her stubborn--and sometimes fretful when it came to her--mate, he would have argued against. . . something. And no doubt he would have hovered over her every time she tripped over a pebble or got a thorn in a paw. After the incident with Cheetahpelt and the black loner, Farsight probably wasn't going to let her out of his sight. " Be silent! " Hummingbird flinched guiltily as she watched Windstar pad up to them with cautious eyes. The fae couldn't help but bare her teeth as the WindClan leader glared at her mate. It wasn't rational--and fairly stupid in their situation--to act like this, but the young she-cat felt that she had to stand up to the little pride she had left. " Let them explain before you act on your opinions! " Hummingbird held back a sigh of relief as her flicking tail stilled. If Windstar was going to give them a chance to explain themselves, then maybe, just maybe, her and Farsight could be happy together without the annoyances of borders and Clan feuds. It would be so perfect. . . But perfection is a hard thing to acquire in this world. " Why should we allow them the chance to speak? It's obvious that she is expecting ThunderClan kits! We need pure-bloods! " Hummingbirdpaw snarled, enraged, as she spun around to glare malignantly at a small white tom. " Bite your tongue, fox-dung, " she hissed, venom marring her tone. " Or I will rip it out and feed it to the crows. " The fae's green eye rolled around, searching out any others who dared to speak up--none did. With a small chuckle of triumph, the silver she-cat twined her tail with Farsight's, feeling peaceful with his calming prescence by her side. " This is Farsight, Windstar, " she mewed, her green gaze level with her leader's blue one. " My ThunderClan mate; now rogue due to the fact that he has given his life up as a ThunderClan warrior and wishes to be one of us. A proud fighter of WindClan. " She stopped and looked around, the muscles tensing on her thin shoulders at the hostile hisses around her. " So what is it going to be, Windstar? Are you going to accept him. . . Or decline both of us and young kits who will grow to be strong warriors? "[/blockquote][/blockquote] tag; cinder! and WindClan! muse; ( /wriggles fingers against keyboard ) oooh, this is going to be interesting! notes; ferny ish back!! { YOUR TEARS DON'T FALL } { THEY CRASH AROUND ME } " Who is that? "
" An intruder is in the camp!! "
It was a very loud, rude awakening for the lumbering giant. He had been up all night gathering herbs, all he wanted was a little sleep. But no, his clan had to go and make more drama for him. First it was the whole war, then it was Wingstar dieing, and after that it was Eclipse running away, lastly it was the death of Cheetahpelt, and now even more drama was on it's way. Sometimes Badgersoul thought his clan was all ratbitten. The black-and-white tom let out an angry hiss as he got to his paws. The tom didn't even have enough time to stretch before more angry yowls and hiss bombarded him. Badgersoul muttered under his breath as he made his way to the clearing.
All the cats were stunned. Some of them were hissing while others were shaking in fear. The sent of forest made Badgersoul wrinkle his nose; Thunderclan. The large beau's orbs glanced around until his eyes found the tabby tom shielding a pregnant Hummingbirdpaw. Quickly putting to and to together; the male let out a disgusted hiss. Not only was this tom from another clan, but Hummingbirdpaw was only an apprentice. She was getting up there in age, but she still was much to childish for children of her own.
" Where'd he come from? That's no WindClan cat; he's ThunderClan!! Let me guess. . . Little Hummingbirdpaw finally commited the ultimate prank; running off and falling in love with a ThunderClan tom? Neither of you aren't wanted here. Oh, I see. You decided to bring your filthy mate and your tainted blood here, thinking Windstar might take pity on your kits."
" No--You have it all wrong--! "
" Honey, I'm going to tell you one thing: I've lived a long time and I know a pregnant she-cat when I see one. Now you and that scum, get yourselves and your tainted brood out of here. "
" You're wrong, "
"Clearly your teeth aren't the only things rotting, Have you had your brain checked lately? I think there's a bit of decay going on there, too. If I ever hear you talk to Hummingbirdpaw like that again, I'll make sure those black things in your mouth that you call teeth will be permanently removed. I'll be doing this Clan a favor; they won't have to smell your breath anymore."
A snarl escaped from Badgersoul's clenched; " How dare you speak to an elder that way! " the male spat; " Have you no respect?! ". Badgersoul was known for his temper and sharp-tongue; yet u sully he would stay silent in front of cats from another clan. So that he wouldn't make his own clan look bad., yet foolish youth talking that way to their elders? It was to much for the tom.
" Leave her alone, Blackfang!! "
" Yeah! Just because you're an old windbag doesn't mean that this young she-cat has to suffer the same fate as you! "
" Let Windstar decide their fate! "
" You, a guest in Windclan, thinking you can speak that way?! All of you should be ashamed " Badgersoul hissed around, shooting hostile glares at the cats who took the side of a Thunderclanner and a traitor the the side of Blackfang, their clan mate. " Hummingbirdpaw, What is this?! " Badgersoul demanded; his hackles rising at how awful Blackfang had been treated. Suddenly, the sent of Windstar made Badgersoul look up. He silently thanked Starclan for her arrival before stepping back to give her room to move.
"Be silent! Let them explain before you act on your opinions!"
" Why should we allow them the chance to speak? It's obvious that she is expecting ThunderClan kits! We need pure-bloods! "
Bite your tongue, fox-dung, Or I will rip it out and feed it to the crows. This is Farsight, Windstar, My ThunderClan mate; now rogue due to the fact that he has given his life up as a ThunderClan warrior and wishes to be one of us. A proud fighter of WindClan. So what is it going to be, Windstar? Are you going to accept him. . . Or decline both of us and young kits who will grow to be strong warriors? "
Badgersoul hissed again at Hummingbirdpaw's pride. How could she talk to her clanmates like that? It made the tom sicken. Though, the fae had a point. Windclan needed warriors, even more now that Eclipsepaw and Cheetahpelt were gone. Not only that, but Badgersoul guiltily wanted an apprentice of his own. This could be his last chance for a while, and he wasn't getting any younger. The male flicked his tail, and the hostility died from his eyes. Along with being stubborn and down right mean; Badgersoul was also very protective about all his Windclan clanmates. Hummingbirdpaw, along with all the Windclanners, were like kits to him. He didn't want her to leave, though he could care less about the Thunderclanner.

Farsight, You know that, maybe it's time for miracles... ... Cause I ain't givin up on love, no I ain't givin up on us. " I didn't want you to worry, " Farsight grimaced. He was worried now! But, before he could speak, another voice entered the clearing. His neck fur rose again at the sound of Badgersoul's voice. He recognized the large tom, WindClan's medicine cat, whom Farsight had seen at Gatherings but never spoken to. Farsight bit so hard on his tongue, literally, that he could feel blood drip into his mouth. Insulting an elder was one thing, but insulting the medicine cat would surely get him kicked out for good. For Hummingbirdpaw's sake, his sake, and the kit's sake, he'd have to behave. Instead of hissing back a retort at the black and white tom, Farsight simply met him with a level amber gaze, fury glinting in the depths of his eyes. He wouldn't speak, not yet, not until he was surely safe." You, a guest in Windclan, thinking you can speak that way?! All of you should be ashamed. Hummingbirdpaw, What is this?!" Farsight hissed, not liking the way Badgersoul addressed his mate. Farsight kept his place in front of Hummingbirdpaw, glaring at any cats that dared say anything else. Already, Farsight felt a strong disliking for certain cats, and Badgersoul was making his way onto the list. After all, Farsight was a sharp-tongued cat as well, one that acted on impulse and didn't think before he spoke. He could already see how that would cause him problems, especially in a Clan that he was not born a part of.
Farsight's amber eyes wandered to the leader's den filled with hope, the stress of the whole exchange frustrating him. As if his prayers were answered he saw a small she-cat exit the den, making her way toward Farsight and Hummingbirdpaw. He knew just by the air that this cat held that she was a leader, and Farsight dipped his head respectfully. Windstar's blue eyes met his amber ones, and he tried his hardest not to avert his gaze. His paws shuffled anxiously as the leader studied him, though the determination remained on his face. He wasn't going anywhere." Be silent! " Farsight flinched, relieved that Windstar had stopped glaring at him. "Let them explain before you act on your opinions!" And her eyes were back on him again, him and Hummingbirdpaw. Honestly, he wasn't sure what to say, where to begin with this whole thing." Why should we allow them the chance to speak? It's obvious that she is expecting ThunderClan kits! We need pure-bloods! "/color] " Bite your tongue, fox-dung. Or I will rip it out and feed it to the crows. " Farsight resisted the urge to chuckle. There was the Hummingbirdpaw he knew, the firey young she-cat that he first met at Fourtrees. He stayed close to her as their tails twined, and he felt stronger with her by his side." This is Farsight, Windstar, My ThunderClan mate; now rogue due to the fact that he has given his life up as a ThunderClan warrior and wishes to be one of us. A proud fighter of WindClan. So what is it going to be, Windstar? Are you going to accept him. . . Or decline both of us and young kits who will grow to be strong warriors? " Farsight didn't dare speak now, his eyes moving toward Windstar nervously. He couldn't imagine how Hummingbirdpaw would feel if she were forced to leave... Oh, this was all his fault. If Hummingbirdpaw was outcast, he'd never forgive himself. The life of a rogue was not a life for his mate, or their kits. But what if Windstar didn't accept them? Would they try ThunderClan? Would they wander as loners, as Farsight had, long ago, thought they'd do? Farsight met the leader's gaze, not flinching as he awaited what she'd say.[/blockquote] Mothkit, The day you slipped away... ... Was the day, I found it won't be the same. After Cheetahpelt's death, Mothkit had been in a fragile state. But Hummingbirdpaw had found her in the center of camp one early dawn and comforted her, and Mothkit felt better. Though Hummingbirdpaw would never replace Cheetahpelt in her heart, Mothkit was glad to have another cat she could consider a guardian, an older sister, a friend. She felt better, for now and forever she'd have both Hummingbirdpaw and Snifflekit. And all of WindClan as well.
The kit's ears pricked from her spot in the Nursery, hearing the booming voice of Badgersoul and the yowl of Windstar. She blinked her bright blue eyes curiously, getting out of her moss nest and creeping toward the Nursery entrance. As she looked out into the camp, her eyes widened and her mouth gaped. A group of warriors, along with Badgersoul and Windstar herself, surrounded two cats. One had the scent of the forest, the scent of ThunderClan that made Mothkit hiss in annoyance. The other was so familiar to her, one that she'd learned to pick out of the rest of her Clan.
Hummingbirdpaw?
The apprentice-aged kit exited the den, her long, ginger tail flowing behind her as she slowly made her way toward the crowd of cats. Part of her feared what she'd discover, what she'd learn of her newfound friend. When Mothkit was finally able to see the two surrounded cats, she did indeed see Hummingbirdpaw, her tail twined with the tail of a small, tabby tom with amber eyes. The tom smelled so much of ThunderClan that Mothkit's nose wrinkled with disgust. What was Hummingbirdpaw doing with this forest-scum?
" This is Farsight, Windstar. My ThunderClan mate; now rogue due to the fact that he has given his life up as a ThunderClan warrior and wishes to be one of us. A proud fighter of WindClan. So what is it going to be, Windstar? Are you going to accept him. . . Or decline both of us and young kits who will grow to be strong warriors? " Mothkit gasped. Farsight, the ThunderClan warrior, was Hummingbirdpaw's mate? And she was expecting kits? Her eyes widened with disbelief. So much for never losing her! Surely Windstar would exile the silver apprentice. Mothkit's eyes formed glares as she looked back at Hummingbirdpaw, not sure of what to say. She was furious that Hummingbirdpaw would risk it all, be willing to be exiled from her Clan for that stranger beside her. What about her? What about WindClan?!"Hummingbirdpaw! Windstar, don't make Hummingbirdpaw leave! Mothkit pleaded, making her way to the center of the crowd and looking at her leader with desperate eyes. "Please! Let her stay." Her outburst was rude, but she couldn't lose someone else. She'd already lost her entire family and Cheetahpelt; Hummingbirdpaw and Snifflekit were the only ones she had left. No way was she going to lose them that easily.[/blockquote]

WindstarYou walk outside and all you see is rain...
Everything seemed to be moving so fast. Windclan had always been strong willed, and family/clan oriented. It was understandable that everyone formed opinions so quickly. Even the kits in the clan were a little outspoken. It seemed to be in their blood. Lean muscles and sharp tongues. Not a bad combination if you asked Windstar. However sometimes the combination tended to get them into trouble, with others as well as each other. Oh well, maybe it was for the better. Everyone needed to have a little conflict in their lives, but with family?
Windstars long tail slowly waved back and forth, a sign of her impatience for the way the clan was acting. She felt the need to whirl around and tell everyone to get to their dens, yell at them like a mother would her kits. The thought hit closer to home than Windstar would have expected. She felt a twinge of dismay unfurl in her chest. Windstar wanted kits, but knew she couldn't, it was against the Warrior Code. Windstar loved kits.
Turning to face Badgersoul as he entered the clearing, he was not pleased. Windstar respected her Medicine Cat, and therefore said nothing when he spoke to the two cats standing to her left. She had heard what Hummingbirdpaw said, and was thinking about it carefully. Turning her ice cold gaze on the young she-cat Windstar spoke "Easy with the way you form your sentences Hummingbirdpaw"
Windstar's ear flicked in anger. How dare the apprentice challenge her like that? If she had simply stated who he was and that they would like to join it would have been an easier decision. But wording it the way she did, well, lets just say it wasn't to her advantage. Windstar placed one paw in front of the other, circling the Thunderclan warrior and the Windclan traitor. Her eyes scanned the both of them, not only their faces but their body language as well. Still circling in a very slow circle around the two cats she spoke primarily to the Thunderclan warrior but also to the clan. "I lost my brother to Thunderclan. He left us. Now he lives there. Traitor!" She came to a slow stop two tail lengths away from Farsight, staring into his eyes she spoke again. "If my brother betrayed us for your clan then how can I trust you? Your clan took my brother." Her words carried more venom than perhaps she meant. Lashing her tail she switched her gaze to Hummingbirdpaw, but her eyes grew soft as she looked to the young cat. "I am ashamed that you have betrayed your clan Hummingbirdpaw." Stepping closer to the she-cat she spoke again. "So I must ask you this. Do you love this clan? Are you still loyal to us?" There was a deep sadness in her voice as she spoke, her eyes stayed locked on Hummingbirdpaw's as she waited for an answer, to not only what she said to the traitor, but to the Thunderclan tom as well. (( yay. Windstar is crazy, but I <3 her. ^^)) [/blockquote][/blockquote] ...You look inside and all you feel is pain

//that you would ever feel the same way\\ //about me, just too much, just too much\\
The winds swirled over the moor in perfect beauty, its soothing peace pulling around him like a warm blanket in the leafbare snow. For once, he was calm and easy, his bright eyes closed against the breeze dragging the gusts of snow which he was named after. His smoke fur ruffled around his neck, pulling back to reveal the sinew and tight muscle he had worked so hard to hone. The black star on his brow was gentle, its constant throb soft and soothing like a mother patting her child to sleep. He lifted his strong white chin, breathing in the wild smells surrounding him until he was full of it all. The grass, the ice, the prey. The energy of his beloved home.
I belong here. His brow furrowed slightly, the disruptive thought breaking his concentration. In his mind, he could see the river gurgling happily past him, a low sad note resounding in his sub conscience. Who are you? A snarl pulled back on his muzzle, revealing sharp teeth. The river had already stole across his thoughts earlier that day, as it had almost everyday since he was apprenticed. Recently, it had begun to speak to him with a nervous, breaking voice. As if the speaker were unsure of itself. Stop calling me. He opened his eyes, glaring at the white landscape accusingly, as if the answers lay in the snow-burdened grass. Why the river, why always the river? What could it possibly want from him, a WindClan cat, born and dedicated to the survival of his Clan. I need to know. Flurrypaw hissed one last time, regretfully viewing the moor before turning back toward camp. He needed to be around other cats, who could distract him and put him to tasks. Perhaps he could be lucky enough to be assigned hunting duties with Hummingbirdpaw or at least Runningpaw who's temper presented competition to his own. Hummingbirdpaw would be much more fun, he decided, though fun certainly was not what life was all about. Yet, the pretty she-cat's take on her own life intrigued him. He thought of her more and more now, especially when he was alone. The camp would stifle him, and Snifflekit's gurgling would drive him to wit's end, compelling him to find solitude. Away from the business of the Clan, he would find himself drawn to Hummingbirdpaw, thinking of her with amusement. Something that pleased Flurrypaw very much. To be amused. **********Sometime later, the muscular apprentice was asleep in his den, his thick tail curled protectively over his nose. The cold weather had sickened him a little, and to his horror, he was beginning to resemble Snifflekit. The youngster was pleased, of course, to have his sharp-tongued hero in his boat, but Flurrypaw could not think of anything more degrading. The day was beginning to dusk, leaving Flurrypaw to rest after working in the nursery mending one of the walls that had been exposed to an icy breeze. The entire time, Snifflekit had sat next to him, talking on and on about anything he could think of. Eventually, the apprentice had had enough and chased the kit out of the den, snarling and making threats to steal him in his sleep and feed him to dogs. After getting a fierce scolding from one of the queens, Flurrypaw had gone to his nap where he stayed for ages. Snifflekit didn't make a pipe, the river stayed out of his dreams, and his thick coat kept him warm. He was happy again. If only fate had seen fit to keep him that way. " Who is that? "Someone's indignant voice rang sharply near the apprentice's den, shaking Flurrypaw into wakefulness. His clear blue eyes blazed open, glowing ominously in the gloomy light. He stayed still, one ear angled to pick up sounds from the main part of the camp. There wasn't any reason to get up until he was certain he needed to. For all he knew, it could just be one of the kits getting into mischief. " An intruder is in the camp!! "He was up in a flash, his white paws speeding him out to join his bristling Clanmates, all of them facing the entrance. They bared their teeth, spitting loyally in defense of what was theirs, warning the invader that they were walking on thin ice. WindClan never tolerated this sort of intrusion, no matter who from. It could be Brownstar, for all these cats cared, they had better watch their scrawny backs. Flurrypaw moved in right beside them, snarling before he could even see the cat he was meant to be threatening. It was like a reflex; it was just something you did. He was raised to have a temper, and circumstances had made it even more pricklier than might have been expected. "Who's there?" he hissed, shouldering his way through the crowd, his wide frame easily pushing aside the more lithe cats. His head rose up proudly, tail lashing, pulse throbbing with excitement. He bunched his muscles, taking the last few steps in a bound, breaking past the wall of bodies . . . Landing a foxlength in front of Hummingbirdpaw. Everything in the tom cat gave a sudden jerk, pausing his entire system. His face broke out with confusion, trying to make sense of the defiant look the silver she-cat was holding. She made a brave stance, her green eye sweeping over her family with a challenging invitation. The silly thing was ready to fight. The question was for what. " Where'd he come from? That's no WindClan cat; he's ThunderClan!! "ThunderClan. Flurrypaw's gaze flashed, finally taking in the large tabby tom standing with Hummingbirdpaw. He was defensive, glaring with an air familial to his escort's. He had well-defined, strong features that the apprentice immediately bred a jealousy toward in his subconscious. Outwardly, he was burning a fury that went beyond his affections. There was an enemy in his camp, laying claim to the loyalty of one of his friends, holding a stance of confidence in a place where he didn't belong. " Be silent! "Windstar's yowl put a stir through the Clan, calming the hostile and reassuring the nervous. The small she-cat padded boldly through the crowd; Flurrypaw felt a twinge of respect and confidence at her presence, though he did not retract the grudge he held toward her for not yet giving him a new mentor. Nothing irritated the apprentice more then to know that his training was on 'hold'. "Let them explain before you act on your opinions!"It was much too late for that. WindClan was notorious for acting out before they even bothered to ask your name, let alone your business. Code breaking was highly punishable, Clan cat or loner. It wasn't enough to say let StarClan judge you, these were the type of cats that took matters into their own paws for better . . . or for worse. If Windstar hadn't realized that yet, then she was sure to have a riot soon. In fact, this might just be the perfect opportunity for any mutinous behavior. Hummingbirdpaw looked very brave, her single eye blazing with passion. The hairs on Flurrypaw's shoulders rose, his gaze darkening with challenge as he glanced from she-cat to stranger. She lifted her head to face their leader, her voice strong. " This is Farsight, Windstar, " she paused long enough for Flurrypaw to get a low hiss in. She knew him by name? She couldn't be friends with him, she would know better! But a guilty prick stayed his snarls, remembering the BlueClan meeting and how he to had tolerated the company of other young cats. Still, to bring one home with her? And this was a warrior. " My ThunderClan mate;"Ma- . . . ? "YOUR WHAT?!" Flurrypaw didn't even hear the rest, every inch of him was bristling. His claws strained at their sheaths as if they were going to fly out and spear anyone in their way if he didn't start a fight right then. His eyes were wide, the black pupils dilated to slivers. A searing pain was ripping through his forehead, making it very difficult to think. She couldn't . . . she just couldn't . . . not her . . . "Are you mouse-brained!" he yowled at her, loud enough for everyone else to hear. Rage and hate stormed through him; he didn't care this time who saw him lose his temper. He was losing something even bigger. "You can't be his mate! He's a sniveling coward, he can't even get a mate in his own Clan! So he goes after apprentices who are insane and in different Clans, just so he can get it easy. Hummingbirdpaw, for once, do yourself a favor and don't be so stupid. He's using you. Give it another moon, and he'll be gone. And what about me? What about . . ." But he stopped, finally realizing what he was saying and the level of his voice. The last cry trailed off, leaving Flurrypaw feeling empty and defeated. He didn't show sadness, just fierce anger. As much of it as he could. "See if I don't chase you off myself Far- . . . Far- . . . Whatever your name was, it was stupid anyway." he growled bitterly. //do you catch a breath when I look at you?\\ //are you holding back like the way I do?\\ lyrics from Crush by Dave Archuleta Sorry this took me so long, and muse is laaaaaaaaaame X]

[glow=silver,4,000]♥ [/glow] Hummingbirdpaw { YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES } { IF TEN MILLION FIREFLIES LIT UP THE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP } The lengthening shadows of sunset wrapped Hummingbird in their cold arms, whispering ominous words in her ears and stroking her silky fur with adhesive claws. The fae shivered violently as everyone drew closer, creating a wall of bodies that suffocated her. Too much! Too much hatred in those glares, those words of spite. Her family was slowly beating her down in the most humiliating way that was possible. Suddenly, the rest of the Clan silenced except for a select few--the ones that truly mattered most to her.
" How dare you speak to an elder that way! Have you no respect?!You, a guest in Windclan, thinking you can speak that way?! All of you should be ashamed. Hummingbirdpaw, what is this?! "
The silver femme didn't bother to answer as she cowered at Farsight's side, looking even smaller than she usually did. Her one green eye was wide in terror as her paws searched feebly for something to anchor on to so she wouldn't flee. Her strong urge to protect her mate and her kits was so strong that she wasn't sure if it was her desire or pure instinct. Either way, she was feeling her resolve slowly break away. If this continued, she was going to snap under the pressure.
" Hummingbirdpaw! Windstar, don't make Hummingbirdpaw leave! Please! Let her stay.
" Hummingbirdpaw stiffened as she watched the ginger and white kit position herself in front of Windstar, her blue eyes directed up to her with fear and pleading in their depths. But Hummingbird had seen the betrayal in them as Mothkit had glared at her, pain contorting her young face. How many of her loved ones was she going to destroy in her quest for peace? Did you really have to start war to achieve happiness? " Easy with the way you form your sentences Hummingbirdpaw. " Hummingbird flinched at the ice in her leader's voice, the small apprentice trying to hide herself from Windstar's cold gaze. What would she do if she were to be banished? As young as she was, Hummingbird wasn't going to be able to support her kits on her own out in the true wilderness. It took a community to raise her; it would take a community, a true family, to raise the next generation. " I lost my brother to Thunderclan. He left us. Now he lives there. Traitor! If my brother betrayed us for your clan then how can I trust you? Your clan took my brother. " Hummingbirdpaw frowned as she stepped forward, her paws still trembling. Though she was still attempting to put up the same brave facade she had been wearing, it was starting to crumble away. Her fear-scent was growing stronger along with her anxiety. If she were to endure a life of solitude; she didn't want to think about it. The fae wouldn't last a day without waking up to border patrol or running on the plains just for the adrenaline rush. " I am ashamed that you have betrayed your clan Hummingbirdpaw. So I must ask you this. Do you love this clan? Are you still loyal to us? " The fae closed her eye and turned her scarred face away in betrayal. Her short fur bristled as she listened intently to the muted whispers around her. Would she belong anywhere once the ones that she doted loathed her? " I am ashamed, too, " she whispered, unable to look her leader in the eye. " And I love this Clan; probably more than you can imagine. But my heart also loves Farsight, and I can't live with one and not the other. I'm sorry that you lost your brother; " it was here that she looked up with her green orbs glittering with unshed tears. The hideous long scar that danced across her face refracted the dying light with a silver sheen, for once looking like her fur--blending in. " I'm sorry that you had to endure the feeling of decision between your kin and your Clan. . . But, please, " she sobbed, the tears starting to break through the floodgates. " Don't make me suffer that same fate. I love this Clan and I'm still loyal. . . I'm-- " " YOUR WHAT?! " The fae jumped with a small squeal as she turned to see Flurrypaw standing there, his eyes wide in disbelief. Hummingbird stood there, her legs stiff in terror and her gaze wavering. " Flurrypaw. . . " she whispered, finding it impossible to get the words out. But what words could patch the hole she had just torn out of his heart? " Are you mouse-brained! You can't be his mate! He's a sniveling coward, he can't even get a mate in his own Clan! " At this, the petite femme bristled, her whiskers quivering as she slightly bared her teeth at him. " He's not a coward, " she snarled. Deep down, she knew how much her friend was hurting. But his words were starting to inflict the same damage on her; she loved Flurrypaw. . . Yet if he wanted to turn it into a fight, she was ready. " So he goes after apprentices who are insane and in different Clans, just so he can get it easy. Hummingbirdpaw, for once, do yourself a favor and don't be so stupid. " " Oh, so now I'm stupid and insane?! " she screamed, her claws flying out of their sheathes and tearing the rocky soil beneath her paws. Her green eye burned with a raging fire as she snarled at the gray and white tom, her pearly teeth glinting red in the sunset light. " I'm not yours to stake a claim on, Flurrypaw; no matter how much you fool yourself to believe that I am. " " He's using you. Give it another moon, and he'll be gone. " And this was where she snapped. " Using me? " she echoed, her voice dead. After a painful moment, the shock was replaced by hatred in her emerald eye. " Give it another moon and our kits will be here, " she whispered velvety, her sweet voice turned to poison. She stalked up to the larger tom, her eye directed up to him with ice in its forest green depths. At first, she had held herself back from hurting him; but he had pushed and pushed until the fire in her was roaring. He was going to receive third degree burns. " Why would he leave me when I'm going to have his kits, Flurrypaw? The only one that is leaving is you, because you can't handle the fact that the feelings that you feel for me aren't returned. You're the one that can't be trusted, " she spat in his face, standing on the tips of her toes to be the same level as him. " And what about me? What about . . . " What about us. Hummingbird heard the implication in his voice as he glared at her, his blue eyes as cold as ice and the black star on his forehead pulsing. Whether it was with heartbreak or hatred, Hummingbirdpaw didn't know. Though he was glaring daggers at her, the fae couldn't help but feel helpless and saddened by the hidden agony in his blue orbs. " Flurrypaw, I'm sorry that you had to hear it like this-- " " See if I don't chase you off myself Far- . . . Far- . . . Whatever your name was, it was stupid anyway. " Hissing, Hummingbirdpaw braced herself and kept herself from dragging her claws on the other apprentice's face. Trembling with the pent up fury boiling under her skin, the silver she-cat's green eye flickered around to quickly analyze the situation. All of the WindClan cats were huddled in a tight circle around them, their eyes flashing eerily. If she were to start a fight with Flurrypaw, there would be no doubt that a riot would be on the horizon. You better be happy you're getting off of the hook this time, she snarled quietly, her lips pulling over her teeth in a silent growl. Without another word, she turned around and stalked back to Farsight, feeling more of the pain crash onto her with each step. In just a few paw steps she felt empty and hollow, miserable at the fact that she just lost a cat that was very valuable to her. She clung on to Farsight with her green eyes silently spilling tears. Hummingbird looked back at Flurrypaw, her lips trembling. " If you run him off, then you will also have to run me off, " she whispered drily.[/blockquote][/blockquote] tag; a lot of durn people XD muse; my muse is always decent with hummingbird--and it was so easy to have her get angry at flurrypaw! notes; I want to hug Flurrypaw and all of those other cute kitties! Farsight, Don't be scared, just close your eyes... ... And we don't ever have to say goodbye. " I lost my brother to Thunderclan. He left us. Now he lives there. Traitor!" Farsight flinched at Windstar's words, feeling his confidence slowly drain at the sound of her venemous voice. For awhile he wasn't sure if the traitor statement was directed at him or to the leader's brother. "If my brother betrayed us for your clan then how can I trust you? Your clan took my brother." "I'm sorry," Farsight blurted just as Windstar finished her words. More calmly he mewed, "I really am sorry. But my Clan did not take your brother, just as your Clan did not take me." He met her eyes. "I came here by choice, to be with the cat that I love more than anything. Right now I only want one thing, and that is your acceptance. Once I get that, if you give me that, I will never throw it away." His amber orbs showed the truth behind his words simply by the determined fire glimmering in their depths. He needed this. He needed to be in WindClan, to be with Hummingbirdpaw. At that moment Farsight was willing to do anything, and he hoped that Windstar could see that.
Windstar's eyes had moved to Hummingbirdpaw." I am ashamed that you have betrayed your clan Hummingbirdpaw. So I must ask you this. Do you love this clan? Are you still loyal to us? " " I am ashamed, too, and I love this Clan; probably more than you can imagine. But my heart also loves Farsight, and I can't live with one and not the other. I'm sorry that you lost your brother; I'm sorry that you had to endure the feeling of decision between your kin and your Clan. . . But, please, don't make me suffer that same fate. I love this Clan and I'm still loyal. . . I'm-- " "YOUR WHAT?!" At this Farsight snapped his head toward the center of the crowd. There his eyes landed on a furious apprentice, gray in coloring with a star atop his head. The tom looked absolutely mad with rage, making a low, protective growl rise up in Farsight's throat. This cat looked like he was willing to hurt anyone at the moment, and he wasn't about to take any chances." Are you mouse-brained! You can't be his mate! He's a sniveling coward, he can't even get a mate in his own Clan! " Farsight glared and snarled, but before he could say anything Hummingbirdpaw leaped to his defense. But he could see the pain in his mate's eyes, pain that made him flinch. This cat was her friend, and he was hurting her with these words.
That made Farsight want to rip the gray tom's throat out.
" So he goes after apprentices who are insane and in different Clans, just so he can get it easy. Hummingbirdpaw, for once, do yourself a favor and don't be so stupid. " " Oh, so now I'm stupid and insane?! I'm not yours to stake a claim on, Flurrypaw; no matter how much you fool yourself to believe that I am. " Farsight was tearing at the ground now. This cat, Flurrypaw, was out of line. As if he'd thought Badgersoul had gotten under his skin earlier, now Flurrypaw practically had Farsight itching to fight. He was using all his will-power not to speak, so much that he wasn't even breathing due to fear that he'd let something slip. Still, this apprentice had already made his way down to Farsight's little list of enemies, a cat that he didn't trust and would never be able to befriend." He's using you. Give it another moon, and he'll be gone. " " Using me? Give it another moon and our kits will be here. Why would he leave me when I'm going to have his kits, Flurrypaw? The only one that is leaving is you, because you can't handle the fact that the feelings that you feel for me aren't returned. You're the one that can't be trusted." " And what about me? What about . . . " Farsight couldn't help it; he snarled viciously and his neck fur started to rise again. Who was this tom to think that he could just storm in here and claim his mate? Farsight knew what Flurrypaw was going to add, he was going to add an us on the end of his sentence. For a moment that made Farsight curious; had something gone on between Hummingbirdpaw and Flurrypaw? No. That wasn't possible... Hummingbirdpaw wouldn't have done that. He couldn't believe that he thought she did, even for a second." See if I don't chase you off myself Far- . . . Far- . . . Whatever your name was, it was stupid anyway. " Okay, he wasn't going to keep quiet anymore. He needed to lash out, to hiss and snarl and dig his claws into this cat's fur. But he couldn't... He couldn't risk getting both him and Hummingbirdpaw driven away. Their kits needed to stay, Hummingbirdpaw needed to stay. If it came down to him leaving to ensure that his family would be safe there, he would. But no way would this little pesk chase him off."Okay, I'm doing my best to hold my temper here, so you're lucky. But listen to me, kit." Farsight's amber eyes were like a furious forest fire as he glared daggers at Flurrypaw. "Hummingbirdpaw means everything to me. I value her life over my own, and I would never, ever leave her, especially since she's going to be having our kits, mine and hers. Even if she weren't having our kits then I'd still be standing here, because I can't stand being away from her." He didn't break his glare, but he did bite his tongue. There was so much more he wanted to say, and a lot of it would contain a lot of bleeping out and cursing, but he wouldn't say it. He wasn't going to snarl and insult the immature apprentice standing in front of him, but the only reason was that his acceptance probably depended on his behavior.
Farsight couldn't risk it, no matter how difficult it was for him to hold back his temper."
