The plains were deserted. A golden yellow she-cat slunk across them. She was trying to be notice and looking for someone at the same time. It had been so long. Memories came flooding back to her. The first time she saw where her mother had died. Being called by her old name, Drizzlekit. Meeting Raven. Ah Raven, how long had it been? Would he even remember her. It had been moons. He was bound to be a warrior by now. She had heard that he had become the deputy. She had missed him. He was the only thing she had missed when she left. The only cat she had missed more was her father. But of course, he was the reason she had left. Badgersoul never wanted to talk anymore. He was after all a full medicine cat. Medicine cats weren't supposed to have kits. She wasn't supposed to exist. If she didn't Goldenpaw would still be alive. Her father would not be so unhappy and everything would be as it was supposed to be. But she had a new life now. One that did not include Windclan. She was a loner now and her name was Dancer. Drizzlekit was gone. In her place was a powerful loner who was looking for the love of her life. Oh Raven how I miss you.

Ravenquill Windclan deputy
Ravenkit lay sorrowfully on a patch of damp moss. It's musty scent and rubbery texture appealed to his emotion of gloominess. His long, spidery legs hung carelessly over the side and his gaze stared, unwavering, directly at a prancing, golden she-kit. Drizzlekit. How can she have so much fun? He asked himself. She has friends, that's why. Raven tucked his limbs under his tufted shadowy chest. His swift eyes glared longingly at her and his heart tugged at his feelings. Did he dare? Go over and talk to her? What would she want with a kit who was supposed to be an apprentice. She would probably get a mentor before him anyways...but....
" Hey" Ravenkit greeted her formally. His strong muscles held his spindly legs to his body like duck tape. " Whatcha doin'?"

Ravenquill gazed up, squinting as the sunlight poured over his fur, highlighting it with deep blue waves that were caused from the sunlight on his dark fur. The warmth radiated through to his skin, warming his body, but didn't lift the choking loneliness that was churning in his stomach. How he longed to see Drizzlekit again, to see her golden fur flashing like gold over the plains as she raced to greet him, seeing her eyes like bright, burning beacons guiding him to her through the darkness. But when he had needed her most, going through the dark times, moons and moons of being locked in the nursery, she was gone. Left. No longer brilliant light at his side to guide him through the darkness. And without his light, he was soon lost.
-=-=-=-=-=-
Drizzlekit whipped around. "Oh hi Ravenkit" she purred. "I am just looking for someone to talk to." She had never had her mother's difficulty with talking to toms. In fact she loved being around toms. She loved attention loved being admired. She was a natural at being the center of attention.

Ravenquill pressed his eylids together as tight as he could, watching as the bright blossoms of color surged into his vision as he knew they would from squinting his eyes so hard. Drizzlekit...as he opened his eyes he could almost see her golden frame standing in the swaying grass just a few fox-lengths away. Strange, he could see her so clearly... even the glowing colour of her eyes. He paused, suddenly unable to move his feet forward. Was it a dream? Or was he seeing a ghost? His dark amber eyes scorched the air, and his mind longed to call out her name, just to see if it was a mirage or a dream. He finally let his tongue become un-melded from the roof of his mouth and let out a soft call, " Drizzlekit?" He put a nervous paw infront of himself, one ears held back nervously as he waited for the dream to melt away before him.
-=-=-=-=-=
" Uh" Blubbered Ravenkit unawarely. He wasn't sure what to do or say, he was just hypnotized. He stared interestingly at Drizzlekits beautiful golden pelt that shone in the bright shafts of sunlight filtering through the nursery's tough nettle coated exterior. His eyes gleamed silver in the glittering rainbows of light from a previous rain. Finally he snapped out of the deep trace of fascination. His own pelt held in small clumps of dirt and matted fur close to him. Instantly he swiped a quick tongue over his pelt to remove some of the chunks.
" Sorry, I just didn't expect..." he mewed silently, in embarrassment. [/blockquote][/color]

The small gold she cat whipped around. She had not heard her name Drizzlekit for so long. Few cats called her that anymore, only her father, her mother, and Raven. Raven! Could it be? That voice sounded like him and then she saw him. His gleaming black pelt. Oh it was Raven, it was him. She had missed him so much when she was gone. He was the only reason she had come back. He was her life, her wonderful Ravenkit. He had told her that she was his sun but it wasn't so. He was her night, he completed her. Oh Raven. "Raven, Raven it's me, it's Drizzlekit, but I go by Dancer now. How did you find me? Oh Raven I missed you," she shouted joyously. For before her was her lover, her beginning and her end. Her true other half.

Ravenquill stared absently at the golden she-cat that stood before him now. He hadn't realized that his paws had guided him over the hill toward her, yet here he was now, the chilly breeze blowing his tail around like a flag, his fur parting where the gust hit him, pushing it towards the highstones, where the wind seemed to be headed to. But his deep amber eyes stayed glued to the she-cat, he appraised her bright, joyous eyes, the way the sunlight lit her fur like a match lighting a fire on a candle. The golden strands of her pelt flew around in the wind, highlights casted on her fur like streaks of white paint. It felt so amazing..to see her here again...It was like a dream, only with the nip of fall biting at him, stinging his ears. All he could do was wonder at her.
"Raven, Raven it's me, it's Drizzlekit, but I go by Dancer now. How did you find me? Oh Raven I missed you,"
" Drizzlekit...no, Dancer? Is it really you? Where did you go... why did you come back? I missed you so much! Why did you leave me...?" Raven's voice had always had a wonderful, boyish tinge to it, in a way that didn't seem to match his smaller-then-usual body and the dark black of his glossy pelt. He could feel the relief filling up his body, but beyond that he could feel the hurt rising again, stabbing at his chest. Why had Drizzle-Dancer now- leave him? Was It because he was to small? Was it the nervous way he used to act? All these questions swirled around his head, and each of them he just couldn't seem to answer himself. He would need Dancer to do that, but he didn't want to ask to many, he didn't want to deter her again.

Why had she left Windclan, that was a question she avoided like the plague. She now thought that her answer was stupid and that she should have never left. After all, Windclan was a wonderful place and if she had perhaps stayed, but no. She would not regret her decsion now. It was made and it was too late to change. So what if Raven was mad. It was her life and the reason she had left, well.
She chose her next words extremely carefully. Not doing so could result in insulting Ravenquill's clan. She had no idea what to say that would help him understand. It was so complicated. She had left for a reason but that reason was so, so dumb and immature now. She had hated the decsion and she hated it even more now.
"I left to find myself. I was six moons old, as were you, and I wasn't an apprentice. Rather than waiting, as you did, I left Windclan, insulted and angry. To add salt to that wound my father seemed to ignore me and focus on the past more than the present and more importantly, the future. He was engulfed in his learning and tormented by his love for my mother, I understand that now. I thought about you when I left, I regretted leaving. I loved you and after awhile I took how much I missed you and thought about how much you would miss me. That is why I came back. Raven, Ravenquill, deputy of Windclan, can you ever forgive me."

Ravenquill stared blankly back at the golden she-cat that stood before him, her fur like silken thread ruffling and dancing as the harsh moor winds blew over her. Ravenquill could feel the wind flowing smoothly over his short, thick ebony pelt, being one of the only Windclan cats left that had direct ancestorage left from the cats that lived here even before the more cats came and clans began. The breeze slipped silkily across his body, sweeping over him like a sailboat sailing through the water. Drizzl- no, Dancer's words buzzed in his head, but what was goggling his mind most was that he was around the same size as the she-cat now, maybe even a bit larger then her. This seemed so extrordianairy, since he had been much smaller then her as a kit.
But now he considered her words, the pleading tones that edged on her voice. She was much more pretty now then when they were younger, but of course she was. And yet, Ravenquill couldn't help but feel different then he had before, the pull toward the young she-cat was still there, but it seemed that the thick rope had worn to only a few streads, like over time, he had gradually accepted that Dancer probably wouldn't return to him. " Dancer," He pronounced her name carefully, his tongue twisting at the foreign sound of the name. " I will forgive you. It took me many, many moons to gain the title I have now, and I suffered more then any should know to gain it, though I didn't realize there was a reason for my pain while it was happening." He blinked silently, feeling the anger of all those moons welling up. " It...it wouldn't be fair that more then one cat would have to endure that, so the only thing I feel that you didn't have to weather it with me is happiness, after all, you've returned now haven't you?" He smiled sheepishly at Dancer, feeling a welling in his throat.
