Walk across the plains ((OPEN))

Ravenquill slowly made his way across the plains, the dry grass rustling around him in the wind, tickling his nose as he pushed through it. The sun was high overhead, beating down on his black fur with it's heat. The deputy paused near a relatively large rock. Gathering his legs underneath him, he neatly leaped to the top of it, turning towards the wind and breathing in deeply for the scent of prey. Lately he had come to terms with himself, with the fact he was actually made deputy. The shock of being granted such a high position no longer confused him so deeply, only mystified him a little when he thought it over too much.

The dry breeze blew through his fur, relieving him of the heat for only a moment. In the air, he could smell the grass, and the stale scent of rabbits. Time to move on and see what else he could find. Even on the top of the rock, he couldn't see more then the rolling fields and large boulders in the distance. Something could easily be hiding in the long grass however. Ravenquill blinked placidly before jumping back off the sandstone rock, stirring up a small cloud of dust as his paws hit the ground.
