The rising sun let off a soft glow on the camp. It dripped onto the leaves shielding the apprentice's den. A fluffy gray she-cat slipped out and gazed around the blue hued camp.
Dappled shadows scattered across the large camp, protected by giant ferns and tangled, wild-looking trees.
The apprentice took in a deep breath of fresh, crisp air.
Ebony stripes against a fiery base, with powerful strength rippling under the coat. The great tiger looked around the camp with burning eyes.
Ryepaw quivered happily, imagining herself as the powerful cat. "Come on, then!" she meowed, perhaps a bit to loudly. "Where's the dawn patrol? Wake up, TigerClan!"

Normaly ghosts of the past pass through my soul Bright blue eyes stared blankly at the apprentice den wall, one blind and unseeing. A long tabby striped tail shifted slightly towards his back feet, moving the soft bedding as it moved. Oh Aridpaw he thought sadly as he closed his eyes again, remembering his best friends death. Why did you have to leave me? He swallowed nervously and pushed himself up, sitting slightly lopsided he yawned a toothy yawn. Standing up he arched his back in a huge streach, claws flexing and peircing the bedding. Wake up Tigerclan! "Hmmmph?" Turning he gazed towards the apprentice den entrance, tail tip twitching, amused. Clearly either another apprentice, or a kit was awake, he wasn't sre which. Licking his paw and swiping it over his maw he shook his pelt before mocing towards the entrance. Poking his head outside the apprentice den he smiled, Ryepaw was awake. He had to duck down a little bit to squeeze out of the apprentice den, clearly the apprentice den wasn't made for a large siamese cat. "Mornin' Ryepaw!" he called, unusually happy. Normaly he was dark and evil, but today it seemed he felt a little bit happier. But today, it seems that I have control over them

Ryepaw jumped around, but not out of embarresment. She couldn't have been happier to have her game interupted. "Hi, Ghostpaw!" she mewed. With a cheerfulness that didn't show any signs of fading, Ryepaw padded over to her Clanmate and brushed his muzzle in greeting. "Did I wake you up? I like getting up early, it's peaceful. I was pretending to be a tiger." The gray apprentice gave Ghostpaw a curious stare. She hadn't spent much time around the tabby pointed tom, but she had a feeling her coming request may not be the most normal. "Would you like to play with me? You could be TigerClan leader, or you can be a lion or leopard. We could pretend this is TigerClan camp, and an enemy Clan is attacking us!" Excited by the idea, Ryepaw kneaded the ground with her paws. Her whiskers quivered and she tried very hard to supress an eager purr. He doesn't want to play, a voice in her head scoffed. It's worth a try, she replied.

The lighting in the camp was darker, making light colored cats stick out like soar thumbs. With this, it meant that Ghostpaw was easily visible standing outside the den. He flicked his ears, unsure. When was the last time I actually played a game with another cat? Oh right, when I had sight in both eyes. He shrugged "Sure" He smiled and swished his tail back and forth "Who are you then?" He purred deep in his throat "From a different clan? Or a warrior of this one" He smiled and circled around her half way, so he had his back to the clearing and not to the apprentice's den. It was time for him to move out of his 'depressed' cloud, time to make a few new friends.

Lizzardpaw of ShadowClan ;;you've gotta love yourself if you could ever love me;;
The run in with Ghost the loner remained on Lizzardpaw's mind as she returned to camp. Her tortoiseshell and white pelt remained sleek, the sun lighting up the ginger patches like flares in the sunlight. Faded yellow eyes gazed sightlessly around the camp, taking in the sounds and scents of every day activity. The sound of a few kits's scuffling paws was clear until they faded into the Nursery. The she-cat smiled; she had always loved kits. They didn't judge her for being blind. It was the older apprentices and warriors that were her main problem. Being a six-moon-old blind ShadowClan apprentice wasn't exactly older cats looked for in a friend. According to most, the loud-spoken Lizzardpaw wasn't even a good friend. Those words made her scoff. Cats like that really got under her fur.
The calico's ears pricked at the sound of two familiar voices. Her mind wandered through all the possibilities, until she recognized the voices of both Ryepaw and Ghostpaw. Though she didn't talk to them, Lizzardpaw could easilly recognize their voices. They were her denmates, after all. Words such as "game" and "TigerClan" were picked out from the conversation. Lizzardpaw's smile grew a bit. She'd always loved games. Immediately she started walking toward the two, keeping her ears pricked for the sound of any approaching cats.
Lizzardpaw stopped when the two apprentices' scents were the strongest. Her half-smile remained on her face as she flicked her tail in greeting.
"Hi there," Lizzardpaw mewed. "I couldn't help but overhear you two talking about a game. Would you mind if I joined?" This was how Lizzardpaw was when you first talked to her. If you actually answered her, and didn't shoot her weird looks because of her blindness, she remained like this. However, if she was ignored, the blind she-cat would just speak louder.[/blockquote]

"I'll be a LeopardClan warrior, how's that? I'll attack your camp." Ryepaw mewed happily. She was about to explain further, when she heard a new voice. "Would you mind if I joined you?" Ryepaw's fur stood on end with wild joy. Just the fact Lizzardpaw was a Clanmate made her special and worthy of Ryepaw's loyalty. The fact that she wanted to play one of Ryepaw's silly games earned her extra points. The gray apprentice was so excited, in fact, she forgot Lizzardpaw was blind at all. "Sure you can play! Ghostpaw's a tiger and this is the TigerClan camp." she indicated the ShaowClan camp by turning in a circle and sweeping her tail around. "I'm a leopard, and I'm attacking the camp. Do you want to be a tiger or a leopard?"

Blindness, simply put is the unability to see. But that isn't completly true, it is also lacking awareness. Everyone is blind at one point or another, whether it is physically blind, or mentaly. But at the moment Ghostpaw didn't know anyone who was mentaly blind, well maybe the ones whom joked about the blind cats. His tail tip twitched in happiness as Ryepaw spoke. This is going to be amusing. He smiled but before he could say anything else he heard someone else approaching.
Turning his gaze to Lizardpaw he smiled, she was blind. His smile grew as she asked if she could join, and Ryepaw answered. He shifted his weight from paw to paw before speaking. "Ya! You could be either a lion, leopard, or tiger. Or my deputy!" He sat down, pulling his tail over his back paws neatly. He then turned his gaze to Ryepaw, "You stand no chance winning" He smiled and lashed his tail as he stood again. "No Leopardclan cats in this camp". A deep purr erupted from his chest as he waited for their responses.

;;true friendship is seen through the heart, and not from the eyes;;
The smile on Lizzardpaw's face grew wider. She hadn't expected to be accepted into the game at first. Not many cats really knew her very well, after all she was only around six moons old. Though not many cats knew her, she knew about many cats. Ryepaw and Ghostpaw both seemed really nice, and she knew that Ghostpaw was blind in one eye. She knew this not from talking, but listening. "Thanks," she meowed. Her mind now began to wander. TigerClan or LeopardClan? In all stories she'd heard, TigerClan had always been her favorite. The calico she-cat smiled yet again at Ghostpaw's offer to be his deputy. "How could I refuse the offer of being a deputy," she purred. Normally, as a kit, Lizzardpaw had loved to be leader in her games with Ashkit. But for some reason she wasn't yowling out her desires. For some reason, she wanted these cats to care. It was strange. "Call me Lizzardclaw, deputy of TigerClan," Lizzardpaw mewed, lashing her tail playfully.

Ryepaw's tail curled with her excitement. Friends! sqealed her insides. I've got real friends! I wonder if Cinderstripe would be proud of me? She listned to Lizzardpaw say who she wanted to be, but before the game could start somehting else had to be done. "Okay, so Lizzardpaw is Lizzardclaw. Ghostpaw, you need a name too. I'll be...," the gray aprentice looked around the camp for inspiration. Her yellowish eyes landed on the moss ball she had been playing with. "I'll be Mossstar, leader of LeopardClan." Swiping her tongue over her whiskers, Ryepaw looked behind her and her head bobbed as if she was counting. In her mind, a band of fierce leopard warriors stood behind her, awaiting her command. She looked back at the other apprentices, her eyes glittering. "After this," she mewed never once sounding shy, but completely delighted. "Can I call you two my best friends?"

Ghostpaw smiled and watched Lizardpaw closely, waiting for her answer. Thanks. His tail tip twitched anxiously, waiting for her clan choice. How could I refuse the offer of being deputy? He shifted his weight from paw to paw, rocking back and forth playfully. "I'll be Ghoststar, leader of Tigerclan!" He smiled and 'bowed' slightly. He was still partially standing but his front legs were resting on the ground, as if he was half way laying down. He turned his blue gaze to Ryepaw's, "Sure Ryepaw." He lashed his tail playfully, "Of course you can".

;;I am unwritten can't read my mind I'm undefined;;
Lizzardpaw's sightless yellow eyes truly lit up at Ryepaw's words. "Can I call you two my best friends?" The thought of having friends in ShadowClan, or anywhere for that matter, was simply amazing to her. Ashpaw had been her only friend after the accident, since other cats chose to avoid her a lot. But Ryepaw wanted to be her friend. Not only a friend, but a best friend. A smile formed on Lizzardpaw's face, and she nodded a bit eagerly in response to Ryepaw's question. "Of course," she mewed, eyes shining happily. Lizzardpaw quickly remembered the game, and in her excitment she lashed her tail playfully again. The last time she'd played a game was ages ago. "Ready to get started?" she asked.

Best friends
Paws tingling with excitement, Ryepaw nodded at Lizzardpaw and fell into a crouch. She couldn't keep the purr from her throat. Of course she could call them best friends... The gray apprentice couldn't remember being happier. She wanted to shout out, wanted her mother to know. Look! I have friends! I'm worth something to my Clan! You didn't fail... With a happy sigh, Ryepaw shook her head. Focus....
She flexed her claws, longer and more powerful than normal. Her now green eyes flashed, studying the two powerful cats before her. Behind her were the gentle growls of leopards at the ready. She wanted the camp, the territory. She padded forward.
"Ghoststar! I'm surprised to find your camp so vulnerable. It's very unprotected. Do you know, I think a kit could take over single pawed!" Ryepaw's eyes-which were struggling to look mean instead of excited- flashed toward Lizzardpaw. "Doesn't your leader care for his Clan, Lizzardclaw?"
Ryepaw pressed herself further down, ready to launch herself in a spring she used for catching birds. Her eyes darted from Ghostpaw to Lizzardpaw. Even while they were having this little adventure, a thousand more she could take them on were formig in Ryepaw's head. Look at me, Cinderstripe. I've found a way to bless my Clan.
