Soft moss pressed underfoot. Stars twinkled brightly in the dark sky. Crowpaw stalked through the forest quietly, her eyes held low and ears flattened against her head. She didn't know anything about what was happening nowadays. When would she be a warrior? Where was Flailpaw? She hardly ever went back to the Shadowclan camp, preferring the silence and peace of the marshy territory.
Tonight moisture pressed her raven-black fur uncomfortably against her skin. After many days of rain, the ground seemed to spray the access moisture up into the air, and onto whoever happened to trod on the spongy moss. The she-cat sighed, settling down on the marsh floor, hoping to see Flailpaw, but not really expecting to.
