GHOST
With a quick shrug, small smile, and maybe even a twinkle in the eye, a lean, slender, almost forest-colored, cat crawled across the marsh. His back was facing the sun, and his belly facing the bottom the earth. His paws, now soaked with dirty marsh water, were lifted up and down, each step being another beat in the rhythm of his movement. Ghost had arrived in ShadowClan territory. He had spent the last few days of his time, pacing around the edge of WindClan, trying to find some prey and at the same time, not be caught by Windstar's warrior's who, unlike ShadowClan, have no mercy with wayfaring loners and stranglers, who, like Ghost, only wanted something to eat.
It was almost summer.... the Clans had everything! They ruled this sketchy forest and all that was in it, leaving nothing for anyone else. They were hardly friendly cats, these Clan cats... except for one, but she was gone... The only WindClan warrior he ever loved; the only cat he had ever loved. But like everything else in his life, she was gone and he was left. His other friends had forgotten him and he was, of course, as always, alone. Why should it even surprise him?
Now the calming, yet slightly unsettling wind had settled on his back nd his fur raised and lowered, keeping in rhythm with the beat that had enthralled his walking pace. Ghost had always let the nature around him affect him... always. Everything happened for a reason in his eyes. There were no accidents. Maybe the other cats thought so, but StarClan controlled everything, well they did on the days he believed in StarClan. Some days he thought StarClan were just dead cats with no power, some days he thought maybe they had power, and some days he thought a completely different power controlled everything. Nothing really made sense... nothing.
Ghost had now come to a rest, a faltering stop more of, but it was time for him to rest. He was in ShadowClan, so he had some time t take a breather. His previous experience proved that he could settle here for a while and not get run off immediately. They were certainly more hospitable, even with Flailstar as leader.
