A small ball of gray fur was gently lifting up and down. hits long fur blew gently but not much. The cat's body was sheltered by a small cave-like bramble bush. Her ears flicked and whiskers twitched. The she-cat's eyes were securely shut but her legs seemed to have a life of their own-twitching for a few moments.
Amber eyes looked forward and glanced around. She was in a lush forest-steadily in green-leaf. A warm breeze went by and 6 kits were playing. One of them sat next to a tabby tom and looked like the she-cat staring at it. A small thought went through the cat's mind watching the scene.
'Mythecho!'
She rushed forward, paws carrying her fast towards the tom. "Mythecho! Mythecho!" she called out to him. Creek still hadn't seen his face but then his head turned and creek stopped in her tracks. His face-it was contorted into a horrible shape. He looked like some twisted tree. She now realized this was no dream but a nightmare. the kits-they looked scared. They all crowed around her, pelts fluffed up in fear. "Mommy! Mommy!" They called out to her. "It's ok, calm down." Creek covered the kits as best as she could. The tom suddenly was dragged into the bushes. There was a snarl and a gagging sound. Blood flowed out from under a bush. Creek looked horrified.
"Mythecho!!!!" She screeched.
Then she felt a hot breath down her neck. Creek wheeled around to she a broken black face. Blood dripped from it and were eyes should be were sockets with blood flowing out. A blood encrusted scar slit across the tom's face. Creek was trying to scream but couldn't. Suddenly the cat jumped out at her. Creek closed her eyes. A muffled whimper sounded and Creek opened her eyes. A pool of blood was on the ground. The kits were gone...only a small black and white bundle was left. It's blue eyes stared up at Creek. "Mummy, help me!!." It cried out in terror. Creek now heard a rustle in the shrubbery next to her. She picked up the kit and ran.
The woods looked dead and horrible now...bloody it seemed. The gray she-cat rushed through the woods and the sound of thudding paws was close behind her. Creek now attempted to jump over a log. She felt like she was home-free and then was horribly mistaken. She thudded to the ground and the kit tumbled from her mouth. She heard hissing behind her. "Run!" She whispered horsely to the kitten and then nudged him forward. Creek surged forward and then the kit went to another pathway. Creek would find him later but now she would divert the attention from the nasty cat. Suddenly a screech sounded and the forest went deathly quiet. "no!" Creek breathed out the word and then an animal burst from the bushes. A large black cat was there with a white shoulder. Creek tried to leap out and hit the tom. Suddenly she was falling in a black abyss. She neared a white floor and when she would have hit she woke up.
Chest heaving Creek's amber eyes flickered open. Her head was dizzy and she was light-headed. "Help." She said as flashes of the black cat flashed through her mind-the bloody scene playing over and over.
