Change was coming, she could feel it. A time for anger and fury and bloodshed to cloak the forest and the Clans. The she-cat dreaded it to come... Will she be forced to emerge back into the Clan world and take up the burden she'd held so long again? Why, though? To everyone else--especially him--she was believed to be dead. Except for her sister and her mate.
The cat pondered over that scenario--genuinely confused and also wanting to get her mind off the fear that was creeping upon her. Her quite different sister, Hummingbirdpaw, had met this tom named Farsight. It was then that Autumnbreeze came back into the picture. After all, she had promised her sister that she would be there for the last leaf to fall off Fourtrees. She fufilled her promise--both of them, actually. Though one of them was to herself: To keep Hummingbirdpaw in the dark and out of danger. Moons ago, a menace had threatened to kill her sister if Autumnbreeze didn't walk away from her Clan life without a look back. Already cooking a plan, she rebeled but was planning on faking her own death. Two nights later, after both Hummingbird's and Autumn's apprenticeship and their parents' deaths, she stole away in the night. The whole Clan, even him believed her to be dead. But Autumnbreeze knew that he would track her and eventually find her. She ran for days and then came back, hoping that there would be no sign of her existence.

The plan worked.

But there was one problem: Her hard-headed sister. Autumnbreeze left her sister with a torn heart and grief following her. But that was why the rogue she-cat left the note of remembrance. It worked. Thank God.

Sometimes life just doesn't work out how you want it to. But you have to keep pushing ahead, right? Or maybe thats just how the foolish see it.Anyway you look at it,life is depressing. Your born, than you die. Life enjoys ripping away your sanity and replasing it with deamons.
But life also brings joy.
The day you watch your sister catch her first mouse. when you watch your parents snuggling under the pine boughes. Running into a complete stranger who looks ready to jump off a cliff.
Hold on a second.
A large white tom cat stood. The trees casting shadows across his ginger splotched pelt. Stranger? Ember's neon gaze travled across the she-cat standing there. She looked... sad, but also almost relieved. Ember blinked. Huh. Maybe... he should leave?
Ember cocked his ears forward. Well, might as well say hello.
"Exuse me?" he called, padding softly, down the short incline in front of him. "You look a little.. lost?" Ember mewed, looking at the calico with concern.

His head full of his own thoughts he raced through the forests, away from that fast flowing river where he had nearly witnessed death, both his own and a Riverclan apprentices. Far, far away from his old life, the one that he didn't think about unless he had to, and away from the pity other cats often filled their eyes with if it wasn't disgust.

He heard a sound, other cats? It appeared to be so and he went toward them his ears pricked forward and carefully so that when he emerged, his scars would be shadowed and perhaps hidden. He did not know for sure but he was hopeful.

When he stepped out into the clearing and got a good look of what was going on he was concerned. A she-cat seemed a bit lost, as the other cat had mentioned and a bit disturbed perhaps? He decided against making his presence known and he sat down, cloaked by the ferns and the bushes.

He knew that they would eventually see him but he also knew that when they did, no doubt they would turn away from him in disgust. It didn't really bother him anymore, not like it used to but sometimes, sometimes it still hurt to be considered a monster when he used to be considered so handsome. But those were vain thoughts and he pushed them back into parts of his own mind that he rarely ventured into. Like a forest that one will only go into the top layer but will journey no farther. If they had his life they would try to forget to.

Autumnbreeze, as a kit, stumbled out of the camp, her eyes wide and wild. Her heart fluttered in her chest rapidly like a bird's. He was following her. There was no escaping him...
" Now you just wait right there, Autumnkit. "
She halted, afraid that if she ran he would just catch her and kill her.
" You know that you love me, right? "
Tears streaming down her face, Autumnkit turned to look at her dearest friend other than her sister. He stood there, pain and agony reconstructing his facade. She didn't love him enough, and it hurt both of them. He wanted her to be his mate when they grew up, and she didn't. So his love turned into a festering hate. He wanted her dead, she wanted to live.
" I don't love you -----, I never will. You don't want to kill me just because I don't want to stand beside you as your mate. I just want to stay as your friend-- "
" Just stop! Just SHUT UP!!! "
Autumnkit jumped back in surprise and fear as he stumbled forward. What was he going to do? Was he going to kill her right now?
He sobbed and pressed his face into her mottled shoulder, sobs raking through him. " Why don't you love me, Autumn? "
She shook her head slightly, unsure of what to say. " I just don't, -----. "
" Then your stupid sister will pay for your feelings. "

Autumnbreeze broke out of the reverie with a choked gasp as tears streamed down her face soundlessly. She wanted to take it all back. She wanted to love him. Now she did, but he hated her so much that her loved ones would be poisoned by her existence. He would kill them first and ask questions later. And the blame would be put on her.
" Excuse me? You look a little...lost.

Autumnbreeze started slightly at the unexpected voice of a stranger and looked over her shoulder to see a orange and white mottled tom stride to her. With another quiet sob, Autumnbreeze wiped her tears away with a pearly white paw. How embarassing. She didn't want to be seen crying in front of a stranger she never met before. Then again...Who was this tom cat? Was he a Clannner? With a subtle sniff, Autumn realized that he wasn't. A loner. Just like her...
" I'm not lost, " she mumbled half coherently. " This...I know exactlly where I am...Who..Who are you? " And looking to the shadows where the other tom was, she quietly hissed " And who is he? "[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]
